"Frag, frag, frag, frag, fragfragfragfragfrag!"
When the shooting finally seizes, bnc opens the lid and leaves the pod. She quickly looks around - and freezes, as she sees a Hispanian stranger. Panicking, she grabs her Ingram Smartgun and points it at Torrent, shakingly. It takes a second or two of her team soothing her, before she lowers the gun with an embarrased smile.
"Sorry, I, um, didn't see."
She takes a breath and fights the urge to bring down her nervosity with Whoom (
13d6.hits(5)=7).
She regains control quickly, but at least Krestov can tell that her self-control is instable.
She quickly throws a glance between the intruders' armor, the labcoat and her chameleon suite, then decides to go for her own armor. She grabs the chameleon suite and starts talking quickly:
"Most important, six minutes ago, 20 intruders entered the facility through the airlock. As you might remember that's only a few yards away from the very room we're in right now. We might be surrounded by a group of attackers like these, but I can't tell, since the system is offline.
"Now, there are three objectives besides surviving:
"Firstly, the machine room and computer support are in the lower level which is quite close. We might be able to turn on the system again.
"Secondly, the signal to wake us up was emitted from a room in the third floor. We should check that out.
"Thirdly, my last connection to Schmitt was on the fifth floor. Thus, I'm not sure whether he himself tried to wake us up."
She breathes.
"As long as the matrix is down, I'm the most useless decker on Earth. Until then, I'll just shoot anything that looks like it wants to kill us." She tries to sound confident as she takes up her gun again, but she's even paler than she uses to be, and her hands are shaking visibly.
This is going out of control. Goddamn, frag it!
