It took bnc a few moments to locate the two laser weapons. Their users had had the sense to engage the run silent mode, but hadn't bothered to deactivate wireless functionality while the hosts were down.

Once she had found them, she just had to gain a mark on both. Once that was done she had a few moments to get her bearings: An internal warning report caught her eye: The lasers were powerful, but they seemed to generate a lot of internal heat and wasted energy like crazy. It was the work of a few seconds to modify the battery access file:

Now both lasers displayed 80% charge while the safety system still believed that the temperature levels were unsafe for further firings. A pull of the trigger would now generate nothing more than a short beep and a promt if the user wanted to contact technical support.

Until the lasers' operating systems were rebooted they wouldn't fire.

While her team mates still prepared, bnc aimed at the first intruder without a laser gun. Her shot was excellent, the response of the smart-platform excellent, but the intruder at point seemed to have anticipated the attack: Only a few shards of flechette ammunition found its way to him. He was hurt, but showed enormous discipline:
While his companion with the laser had tried to shoot his toy without success and was now cursing, the wounded man drew in one smooth motion a grenade from his belt and threw it with great precision between Torrent, Krestov and Slobbertooth.

Krestov's eyes blinked open wide as he saw the guard launch the grenade, his approving thoughts of how bnc's shooting landed its mark dashed as the imminent and quite easily mission-threatening danger flew into the air towards their fortified position.  Time seemed to slow for him as his adrenaline coursed through his veins, all the big troll's years of training and conditioned instincts kicking in, leaving him with only one course of thought, the others' transceivers crackling with one word from him.

"Stay"

Tracking the trajectory of the grenade, the troll shifted, lunging his weight just in time to dive onto the grenade, catching it in his chest as he impacted onto the ground.  A muffled blast followed shortly after, and the troll lay completely still, looking to the casual or distant onlooker as a neutralized threat.

Interrupt Action: Dive on the grenade.  Nullifies all blast, Krestov soaks against full damage (10S with -4 AP).
Dive on the Grenade: 31d6t5 16
Full soak, baby!  New initiative now at 8.

The explosion felt like a hammerblow to the gut and the pungent smell of singed hair filled Krestov's nostrils. Through the ringing in his ears he was dimly aware how the other intruders readied their weapons at him.

Two started to fire controlled bursts to keep the defenders in hiding, while two others exchanged the ammunition in their guns.
The last two tried to shoot the prone Krestov. Luckily one of them was a guy with the hacked laser weapon, so the only thing he produced was curses. Unluckily, the other intruder had no such problems...

The smartplattform obviously can't go prone or in cover and doesn't have a reaction attribute. Therefore it has to defend against the suppressive fire only with edge. It has a body of 5 and 10 Armor against two electrical attacks with AP 5 and bnc is in hot sim, meaning she'll share the matrix damage.

It would be really, advisable for you to come up with a good plan fast...

The thunk of a muffled grenade explosion.  Several electrified taser bullets flying and thunking into the hulking, prone form.  By all rights, any metahuman should be down by rights from such an onslaught.  Firing on the one person who seems like a nullified threat.  Typical Aztech.  Once the last bullet thunked against his helmet, the big troll acted, legs coiling like springs as he launched forward, sliding in front of bnc's turret and raising his shield, giving the hacker an open line of fire while blocking the others from receiving the same opportunity.  They would instead have to try to shoot the troll again...as if the earlier bullets did anything.

"bnc.  Fire much bullets.  Keep busy to help others.  I keep gun safe."  With that said, Krestov sounded out a roar at the group of Azzies, a feral cry sure to shake most feeble hearts.

New action!  Get up, position self to provide heavy/ridiculous cover for HMG, look badass.  Declaring full defense/blocking shots at smart platform behind me.  That should conclude the first initiative pass, and my actions for the rest of the Combat Round

bnc casts a worried look at Krestov's bio data, then relaxes. Jeez, he is one tough troll! And brave. I don't even feel ashamed that he saved my ass yet another time. There's only one thing I can do to honor this attitude: Do the f***ing same thing!

bnc moves the gunpoint direction entrance. She overrides the sensory input to make the intruders look like enemies from an adventure game. She never killed a person before, and she knows that this would be a really bad moment to hesitate. As she sees the first comic figure enter the room, she tells that inner voice to f***ing go and shut up, then hits the  CAPS LOCK on her fire button.

can I leave the dice rolling to you guys one more time? Very much appreciated

Now that the Ruhrmetal HMG went from a short burst into a continuous fire mode, the sealed environment turned into pandemonium: Flechette needles saturated every available surface and the suppressive fire of the attackers ceased, as they hastily pulled back behind cover.
Torrent and Slobbertooth had now the chance to deploy their own grenade before their enemy worked out how to lob grenades from behind cover...


Just for clarification: As soon as the suppressive fire starts, the two intruders pull back instead of keeping their own suppressive fire on (Now with -5 to attack, they would have to reroll and do a reaction+edge roll.

Slobbertooth grabbed his flash bang grenade, set to blow on impact, and tossed it into the middle of the enemies. "Grenade out" It landed at it's intended destination, gave a quick beep and then unleashed a deafening sound and blinding and disorienting light on the intruders.

Throw Grenade: 7d6h5 2

The grenade should land in the hallway, past the elevator, but before the shuttle dock. Hitting between 4 and 6 targets If it needs to be thrown farther back so that it doesn't hit Krestov, let me know.
