So in Run and Gun, there's this neat thing about Universal mirror material blocking off wireless signals by adding noise, and it also mentions that it works depending on the direction of how you apply the material to your clothes. So, since there's no limit on it with the rating, I could make a hood of that thing with the inside of it being UMM of rating 10 for dealing with Technomancers, for example? Giving them -10 due to noise should be enough to cut them out from the Matrix.

But now we get to the interesting part. Would having clothes like this make a character's commlink or cyberware virtually unhackable? Say you get a suit of Rating 6 worth of this stuff. That's approximately 6000 nuyen + the suit itself, which is pretty cheap considering it means you get to keep your wireless bonuses and not worry about getting hacked. Should it work like this? Did I miss something or are these rules just badly written?

This adds noise to anything that uses the matrix. Therefore, using it to line clothing/armor blocks deckers/technomancers from hacking commlinks/etc. inside, but it also prevents said commlinks/etc. from getting wireless bonuses from being connected. Directional resistance (imo) can be applied at double cost. As always, YMMV, and per RAW, you are correct.
Spooky, what do you do this pass? Shoot him with my thunderstruck gauss rifle. (Rolls)  8 hits. Does that blow his head off?

Devices lose wireless bonuses if the noise is higher than their device rating.
