and from the looks of it, yall are done with phase one, having only lost one runner in the process. So it looks like yalls plan now is for Janitor to chill in a coffee shop doing research, while Dolly takes some time to recompose herself. Do about 24 hours worth of legwork, then meet up with One again to let him know whether you want his backup face or not (Who I should mention is a REALLY good roleplayer, by the way) and finalize payment agreement. Am i correct here?

Yup, I think that sums it up. After an hour of rest, Dolly will link up with Janitor so they can review the info together and plan their next moves. She'd obviously review what was on the burner with an interest towards astral security. If there's a gap in that, the job can be as simple as possess, drop ring in a secluded location, then depossess a few minutes later and pick up the ring. Other than the summoner, possessed vessels don't have any recollection of what happened while the spirit was in charge, so he'd just eventually notice his ring was missing and wonder when he took it off. If he was possessed while unconscious or in an altered state of consciousness, he might not even have any reason to think anything out of the ordinary had happened.


But, in this day and age, I suspect that there is a strong astral component to his security.

I can't really comment on any potential plans until I have results from my astral surveillance. Dolly only took a copy of the files from the burner - the Janitor still has the actual phone, so I have assumed that he has viewed the contents. Is little more than a picture of the ring on dudes hand, another pic of the dude, wearing the ring, and a full 3d ARO viewable in trid form via image link of any sort. You could set it to broadcast only to Janitor's commcode if you wanted. It's a nice ring. Platinum. 12 small diamonds in a ring around the edge of a flat fact with a single big red diamond in the middle. Two chinese dragons dual wielding submachineguns are etched, entwining up from the underside of the band and flanking the red diamond in the middle.The etchwork is top quality.

the random 3 houses dont turn up anything unusual. They're all in Krubb controlled slums. As such, they dont have AC and most have the windows open, allowing you to see inside. Nothing out of the ordinary. No wards, no watchers, no magical security.

The seven year old lives with her mother in a nice house in riverside, just off college street near 5 points and the park, firmly within Hermanos territory. There's an astral barrier around three adjacent rooms on the second floor..

The pawn shop on Krubb turf has an astral barrier around a single room, near the rear, as well as a small pack of barghests roaming the grounds. You don't get too close to them, for fear of being spotted.

BOUT THE RING:

You trace it to it's manufacturer, an arab dwarf who lives in Aspen. He's only ever called "Statson" and it seems he's a near legendary maker of jewelry for those truly discriminating about such things. Statson has made chains for famous rappers, crowns and amulets for blockbuster summer action trid costumes, and if the claim on his sales page is true, Lofwyr owns one of Statson's pieces. He doesn't do ANYTHING that costs less than six figures and he doesn't do ANYTHING except commissioned pieces; 100% special orders. He hand makes everything himself and uses only the highest quality metals and stones. As a result, his waiting list is about 3 years long. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to even get on the LIST to tell him what you want him to make.
