In broad strokes, we will provide him anonymous tickets ("This is the Shock Jock from KJKR, and you just WON!") to an MMA fight, then try to isolate him by accidentally bumping in to him so he soils his clothes and heads to the restroom to clean them, then kapow!


Dolly was mostly thinking she'd wait until midnight or so and check all of his known residences to see which one he is at, then see what kind of security he brings with him.

So, observe tonight, tomorrow meet with One and tell him whether you need the face or not, then try to lure him to a fight after that meeting?

I wouldn't be averse to a decker instead of a face. That would make that whole faking winning tickets a lot easier.

Yes, observe tonight and unless another option presents itself as a result, we proceed with Janitor's plan to lure him to a fight. We'll also make the decision after the surveillance whether we need the face or not, and if so, we'll wait until we've caught him/her up before putting the plan in motion.

Later that night, she will put on her sneak suit, summon that spirit again (it will be after sundown, so he will have gone by then even if she had unused services) and use it to fly somewhere remote (probably over the swamps where she was flying earlier in the day while high), and leave the spirit in charge of her body (and constantly moving) while she heads out to check on Slim.

On the assumption that we are waiting on me to set up my rolls IC, I have posted there. As mentioned, she is starting with the pawn shop then the home of the seven year old, then the others in no particular order (I suppose the home of the 9 year old will be third since she is effectively going in what she guesses is order of likelihood that he will be there based on the information she has). Once she finds him you can either use the subsequent assensing check or you or I can roll another one (possibly with the specifically looking bonus) to gather specific info on his defenses, or anything else that stands out.

As far as Dolly's search goes, she finds him in the second place she checks. A four story apartment building on the third floor. It's off emerson, deep in Krubb turf. Small shitty place. It's just him and one other person in there. Both are unawakened. Both appear to be sleeping. This is NOT one of the spots with astral security, however, there are so many other people in the nearby vicinity that without eyes in the physical world, it will be near impossible to tell how many, if any of them are Skim's direct bodyguards.

I've been trying to put an IC up for a couple days and today I finally had a couple hours to get to it, but realized that it needs to be handled OOC then transcribed to IC once resolved. There are multiple steps and at any one step things can go sideways, so I'll lay them out here and you can tell me what rolls I need and how far I get.


First, Dolly will land on the roof of the building she scouted, and scout it again if she didn't get any info she needs on the first trip. Primarily, she is hoping that the master bathroom in the unit Skim is in has a window, otherwise she'll have to make do with a different window. The plan is to have the spirit possess Skim and trundle him to the bathroom like he needs to pee. While in there, he will open the window and place the ring on the ledge, then close the window and return to bed (after doing his business). While the spirit stays in possession for another minute or so, Dolly will swoop down and grab the ring, pocket it, and fly away. She will use stealth the entire time, and the spirit has stealth as well, though palming would have been more useful for this particular operation should the spirit not have the luxury of privacy in the bathroom.


I'm assuming that I'll need a sneaking to get to the roof and a Forcex2 (vs. Skim's Int+Wil) for the possession attempt.
Sneaking 5 + Agility 4 + Chameleon Suit 2 = 11
Sneaking: 11d6t5 2 Horrible. But, the opposition has at least a -6 penalty from Concealment as well as other penalties from lighting and her small size (size might have been a bonus to her roll, I'm not sure). Also, object not in immediate vicinity will also likely apply unless they have a man on the roof, in which case she'll find another nearby roof, but has little choice when it comes to the location of the ring exchange.
Possession: 14d6t5 3 Wow, my rolls suck today. Anyway, you might assess a penalty to Skim as he is unconscious, but hopefully 3 hits will work anyway.

So what is the nearest ring sized hole to the outside? I'm guessing he'd have to leave his room. Roof maybe? Outside stairs? Fire escape?


I like this approach for the cool factor (having the mark actively participate in his own robbery), but succeeding here makes the whole milk run pretty short, so I'm cool with it not being doable due to no outside access. Being better prepared could involve tossing it in a wireless blocking baggy, then in another waterproof bag with some sort of tracking chip and throwing it off a bridge or something, though getting the bag to him would be interesting (anonymous package?).


At any rate, I see some fun hijinks if he gets discovered while making his way to the roof (even casual questioning would probably reveal that he was possessed since the spirit would have to default on an impersonation and/or fast talk roll. It'd be entertaining to have him beat up his own guards with 14 dice of unarmed attack and immunity to normal weapons...

Hmm. Need an excuse for going out on the balcony in the middle of the night. Thinking of maybe smoking a spliff, but I'm guessing he'd just do that indoors. And I don't know for sure that he smokes.


Well, screw the reason. Sneaking, man. I'll try having the spirit possess him and have him sneak out onto the balcony, remove the ring, place it on the bannister, then sneak back into bed. I'll sneak down and retrieve it before the spirit leaves his body. Then meet up with Janitor and see about making sure there are no tracking RFIDs on it.


Technically, he doesn't even need to go out on the balcony, just crack the door and place the ring outside.
