It's literally an assumption I have, that every Shadowrunner has some sort of subvocal mic and an earpiece (both of which are included in a micro-transceiver) and are on comms.  So it wasn't specifically mentioned, but I never imagined it needed to be.  In my world, it would be as assumed as wearing pants to the run.

I too have assumed that we are linked via commlink. If I do not have the correct equipment for this timeperiod (since Crash 2.0) then tell me what I should have bought and I'll pay double if needs be. I have been using green for the comms.

ok, it seems both Byte and Viso have MC's so it works for them, but FP does not. He DOES have a commlink, so sending messages to him will be a simple action, unless you've got a DNI.

In the future, please bring these things up beforehand, just to keep it simpler, eh?

And yeah, I could easily swap that talking free action to a matrix free action, since my entire cyberdeck is implanted. I'll do that in IC, since it'd technically be a bit more in-character of Byte to use that.

Won't lie, kinda want to hack that dixie's gun, but that'd be a pain in the ass to do, both in-game and as a character. So instead, I'll just continue with my current line of action... Get the the fuck out of the fire fight.

Keep in mind, it can only be locked and unlocked via the matrix. It cannot be opened and closed that way, only manually.

FP is going to do a classic military breach with flashpack. This involves a strong kick to the door lock/catch dropping the flashpack on the inside and grabbing some wall on the outside while the inevitable fusillade happens.

Simple action: Kick the door open: 7d6t5 2
SImple action: Toss flashpack just inside the door: 2d6t5 0 (programmed for 2 * 3 second burst with 1 second gap)
Move aside (on outside of door)

So, 1 second to let me out of the way, then if turns are 3 seconds it's 2/3 of turn 9 1/3 of turn 8, 1 second, 1/3 turn 8 and 2/3 turn 7. Make sense?

Initiative: 8... The first second is flashing, 1 second gap, the final second is flashing.
Initiative. 7... The first 2 seconds are flashing

The idea is that the first flash is a waste as it's clearly a grenade. The second sequence is the one that is effective...  Theoretically

JUST realized that a melee attack is a complex action. You can kick the door, and just drop the flash as a free action.

So the theory is that the Flash Pak goes off while they're watching the door but they might duck out of the way if they think it's a grenade that is why the second sequence goes off after 5 seconds (1 second wait, 3 second flash, 1 second wait) The final sequence is triggered right before Destiny Dixie is taking 'his/her/its' action and is flashing for 2 of the 3 seconds that the action is occurring.

This is why I love Flash Pak devices: they're pretty versatile, they are rechargeable, they give about 10 seconds of pulsing in whatever sequence you program and they can be reprogrammed using a complex action (though I would never reprogram it in a combat turn.)
