So, what sort of pistol do you use?  I am partial to anything Ares makes.  Their guns are the finest in the world, in my opinion.  I have been a loyal customer for decades.

>>Already on it<< I respond to the unusually rational priest.  I'd remained linked into my MiAz since leaving the apartment and had taken a curious interest to the apparent new person conversing to enthusiastically with Yelena-sensei.  I don't know a lick of Norwegian, but the matrix certainly does.  I'd been feeding the conversation directly into a translate app I'd come to trust previously and had at least as good a sense of the conversation as Marco likely did.  Taking the man's offered name, appearance, and whatever else I gather from the conversation I let my algorithms do their work.

Anders nods in agreement.  "Ja jeg liker Ares også. De gjør anstendig ammunisjon, jeg har ikke blitt skuffet av dem ennå. Faktisk den første pistolen jeg plukket opp og brukt var en Predator. Jobbet med at tinn for en stund, og fant det å være ganske pålitelig. Men jeg holdt får irritert på mangelen på burst ild på den. Jeg ønsket en annen tung pistol som hadde stoppe strømmen av Predator, men kan fungere som en maskinpistol . Min venn anbefalte Savalette Guardian, så jeg solgte Predator og plukket den opp. Har du vært å bruke den for et par måneder, og jeg må si det er hyggelig. Yeah I like Ares too.  They make decent munitions, I haven't been disappointed by them yet.  In fact the first gun I picked up and used was a Predator. Worked with that tin for a while and found it to be pretty reliable.  But I kept getting annoyed on the lack of burst fire on it.  I wanted another heavy pistol that had the stopping power of the Predator but could perform like a machine pistol.  My friend recommended the Savalette Guardian, so I sold the Predator and picked it up.  Been using it for a few months and I gotta say it's nice.  All they need to do now is make a hand cannon with full-auto and i'd be set for life.  What about you?

Yelena smiles.  She may have found a gun enthusiast, but he is apparently not a purist when it comes to brand loyalty.  She taps the Predator at her hip.  "Du kan ha et punkt om burst brann, men jeg vil ha følelsen av en Ares i min hånd. Jeg kjøpte bare en alfa som blir endret for meg. Jeg er å plukke det opp på tirsdag. Men min favoritt av langt er Desert Strike. You might have a point about the burst fire, but I want the feel of an Ares in my hand.  I just purchased an Alpha that is being modified for me.  I am to pick it up on Tuesday.  But my favorite by far is the Desert Strike.  That is my baby and has been ever since the shadow put one in my hands about fifty-five years ago.

Anders draws in closer when the conversation becomes more stimulating.  Stopping for a brief second to make a mental note of the other guests who had arrived before he continued.  He had set aside his plate and empty glass to make room for the semi-auto he un-holstered.  The heavily chromed handgun felt weighty in his hands.  With his left hand on the grip he holds it up slightly, visually measuring and testing the difference between the two firearms.  Anders re-holsters the Guardian and says.  "Personlig finner jeg at den håndterer ganske lik den Predator om ikke bedre. Men jeg kan forstå ikke ønsker å bruke noe annet enn en Ares våpen."  His face lights up at the mention of military grade weapons.  "Å det er kult! Jeg har hørt det er en smerte i ræva for å finne en eks-militær typen villig til å selge disse rifler. Selvfølgelig er jeg gjør antagelsen om de ble kjøpt. Ikke at jeg er bedømme eller noe. Selv om de er ikke akkurat det beste våpen for å bli tatt med. Det er derfor jeg holder meg stort sett til semi biler og andre lette våpen."

Personally, I find that it handles pretty similar to the Predator if not better.  But I can understand not wanting to use anything but an Ares weapon.  Oh that's cool!  I've heard it's a pain in the ass to find an ex-military type willing to sell those rifles.  Of course i'm making the assumption they were bought.  Not that i'm judging or anything.  Although they aren't exactly the best weapons to be caught using.   It's why I stick mostly to semi-autos and other light arms.

Yelena nods.  "Vil du se hva jeg har? Kanskje vi kan møtes på tirsdag og jeg kan føre min andre når jeg plukket opp av Alpha og gå til området. Jeg trenger noe trening med granatkaster og har kjøpt en drek belastning av praksis avrundes til bruk. Interessert?"

Would you like to see what I have?  Perhaps we can meet on Tuesday and I can bring my others when I pick up the Alpha and go to the range.  I need some practice with the grenade launcher and have purchased a drek load of practice rounds to use.  Interested?

Anders smiles happily.  "Klart jeg ville ikke tankene. Så lenge jeg er ikke målet dummy. Kommer til å advare deg nå og si at jeg ikke opplevd å bruke noe annet enn håndvåpen. Tror jeg skal la deg håndtere granater. Annet jeg kan komme til å gå glipp av og traff en svane eller en hund."

Sure I wouldn't mind.  As long as i'm not the target dummy.  Going to forewarn you now and say that i'm not experienced using anything but handguns.  Think i'll let you handle the grenades.  Else I might accidentally miss and hit a swan or a dog.

@ Subaru  George's eyebrow raises and he says, "That much cred at one time says a very dangerous job. A very high profile job if one knows the right circles to ask the questions in. And while you say that it is for a job that has nothing to do with us, betrayal always pays very well. And a story of desiring to be more valuable and continue your employment with us sounds well. But, your pride means you first pay off your debt so that you do not betray your owner." He looks at you very coldly. "I am going to have you checked, very thoroughly checked. You may be a talented child, but, so was your mother and they still planted evidence under her very nose within her own files. If there is evidence of betrayal I will find it, and your life will be nothing. But, as of right now your contacts and your association with us is terminated. You are dead to us. It remains to be seen if your worthless life may continue."

I try not to let my shock and horror at the unexpected reaction reach my face, but I have no doubt I'm epic-failing at it.  Still I manage...just barely...not to break into tears at George's decision.  If I can make it out of this building alive, and not in chains, it will be a miracle.

I stand before my chair, slowly, before I speak.  "I...I'm sorry for troubling you, Ishikawa-sama," I manage to get out with a minimum of stutter.  It becomes easier as I keep going, perhaps because my mind is so totally focused on carefully selecting each word.  "I welcome your investigation.  Hopefully the results will assure you of my fidelity toward the confidence you placed in me.  In the meantime, I pray you will remember the history you shared with my father, and the honor debt I carry for someone you honored as friend, when you decide how to handle my case.  If I may be excused, I won't waste any more of your valuable time."  I then bow deeply and remain in that position as I await dismissal.

@ Subaru  George lets you remain in that position for long minutes as you feel his eyes boring into your bowed head. Finally he says, "Dismissed." You leave and at every major juncture of the building there is security. It's not necessary you know. They can follow you as easily and more efficiently with their surveillance system. But, men armed with unhackable katanas in the closed elevator are intimidating. And when you step out of the building into the bright light of a December morning the cold air is a relief..

Yelena nods.  "Bra. Jeg er for å møte selgeren på område 0900 på tirsdag. Har du transport eller kan jeg stoppe for deg et sted?"

Good.  I am to meet the seller at the range at 0900 on Tuesday.  Do you have transportation or can I stop for you somewhere?

Yelena sets up a time and location to meet Anders to take him to the range, letting him know that it will probably be by cab unless she can wring her Scorpion from Arc's hands.  She nods to him and thanks him again for helping with Feathers.  Going to Arc, she waves her hand around the room and smiles.  "Good have Feathers safe.  Srui get new car soon?"

As Yelena and Anders began to converse, Arc quickly realized that the conversation was going to be between the two of them, period.  The tongue sounded funny to her, and couldn't make heads or tails of it.  So, she had some pizza and sat back, seeing Marco and Firefly conversing off to the side with some suspicion..or at least that's what Arc guessed.  Drek, I'd be suspicious too.  But, got Feathers word on it, and this kid gives a good vibe...

A few slices in her belly, she straightened up when Yelena turn ed to her.  "Eh?  Ah, yeah, I'm gonna try Finn get one in the next coupla days.  Shomthin a bit roomier I think.  Go ahead and take the Scorp, I'll figure out the bus and cab system from here."  making a gesture, she hopped off the worktable and stepped over to the rest of the team present, a smile on her face.

"nice that most of us be here.  Hope that happens a bit more this next week.  We gon be working together, so perhaps we best prepare together to to a degreee, aye?"

Yelena nods.  "Yelena thank.  But need get Marco and Firefly home.  Will take cab tonight.  Maybe come get bike tomorrow.  Will be with rigger man?"

Arc slowly nodded, her toothy grin returning.  "Damn shtraight I'm a be witim.  But I'll leave the bike here, get there on may own, ya feel me?"   she sighed, embracing her blood sister for a moment before turning to Firefly, tilting her head.  "if yall still need help with that thing you need, just give me a buzz, aight?  I got a bit o free time now"

Yelena walks over to where Firefly is standing a bit away from the others, apparently lost in thought.  She steps as close as she can without getting too much in the other woman's space.  "Decker mage alright?  Seem quiet.  Yelena go get tattoo tomorrow morning.  Pick Firefly up on bike and take with for talk?  Maybe lunch after inking.?"
