Hey Guys

I got some nagging questions to which I havent found any answers yet. Maybe you can help?

1. In Hazard Pay in the space section, a Person named Polaris does a lot of suspicious stuff, e.g. somehow controlling Dr. Sanderson into airlocking herself.
I have not been able to find anything about Polaris since then, neither have i found something about the Drone which was sent from Gagarin. Directly afterwards Gagarin went offline. Is there some piece of information I have missed?

2. Also, excluding Stolen Souls, are there any news about Gagarin since it came back online? Especially about it coming back online? I imagine there must have been a big sigh of relief of some kind, when it was back online?

3. I have understood, that Jack wasn't present at the run on the albaquerque facility. So CFD seems to be able to spread via Matrix alone, is that correct?

4. I have read a lot of peripher talk about Boston Lockdown, especially in Novapuls, a German ingame Newsletter thing. The first signs of it seem to have startet in 2074 if I am correct.
Recently i read some short stories about a giant metal (dragon?)thing flying over Boston and sending out some strange dust. Not sure how official those are.
Are there some texts I missed? Is anything out about the Boston Lockdown yet?

FastJack was present at the Albuquerque facility, and CFD cannot spread via the Matrix.

The first signs seem to have started in 2074, yes.  About the dust and dragon...  what?  There was a blue haze that fell over the city, which I believe is probably closely related to Blue-232, which was the weapon used by Aztlan against Sirrurg.  I don't recall anything about a dragon.  The Boston Lockdown book is available for those that supported the Shadowrun Chronicles Kickstarter, or those that upgrade to the RPG edition of the game via Steam.

The dragon isn't metal and it's not exactly dust (read Lockdown to find out!), but an observer might reach those conclusions, so it's not totally out there.

I thought Polaris was one of the AI from Emergence, but I guess that was Pulsar. I still think Polaris might be an AI; young, naive and skilled in the Matrix. But according to http://www.mattdroz.com/PDF/Shadowland_Authors.pdf Polaris has only posted in one book. That being Hazard Pay. So who knows. We just don't have enough info on Polaris.

There is also some info on Gagarin in Run & Gun, but its not going to answer your question. It's very vague.

Don't think Polaris is an AI as page 118 in Hazard Pay covers this tidbit:

Quote from: Hazard Pay pg 118
Polaris sat in her special chair floating in her quarters.
She was off duty for the next sixteen hours and was glad for
it. Today had been especially taxing. Numerous requests on her
time and talents had left her drained. Still, it was a small price
to pay for what she truly needed. The automated systems of her
chair activated, sending the required nutrients into her body.
She closed her eyes as she felt the paste-like substance enter
her stomach through her feeding tube. She wondered what it
would be like to eat food like a normal person. It didn’t matter.
She had access to what mattered most: the resonance and the
means to find her father. It had taken a few years to get into
this position, to obtain access to the necessary systems without
anyone knowing. Her network of backdoors and catalogue of
access codes was staggering. And the best part was, she was
given most of those codes willingly!

So she seems to be a TM instead of an AI.

Now it goes on how she is looking for her father and how she thinks the Resonance could be his salvation.
Maybe he is imprisoned or maybed even dead and she is trying to reassemble his persona, maybe even kicking off a mini-CFD in the process.
Or her 'father' might be not a blood father but an AI father figure.... still remains to be seen.
Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

I can't believe I missed that. I guess I should have read over Hazard Pay again.
