Those that look into the void have to be careful that the void would not look back into them. By looking into the astral the awakened opens himself to subtle astral influence. If that dude is indeed looking into the astral my spirit can discreetly mess his mind.  Somehow Melissa the spirit knew what to do, it was almost as if it was her idea. Distract him thought Solo. Before he could finish the spirit approached the dred man in the astral saying:
“I am the most beautiful creature you have ever seen... forget everything that you do...  go to room 217 and make love to me.”

Influence: 16d6t5 7
16d6t5: 7 [16d6t5=6, 5, 5, 3, 4, 6, 2, 1, 2, 5, 6, 5, 3, 1, 3, 2]

Solo was a bit shock about the spirit's interpretation to "distract him"...
"You could have just sent him to the toilet or something...  but I guess it counts as a distraction... " thought Solo. He waited for just a little bit to see if the awakened dude will bait.

Obviously if he is not looking into the astral - this post needs to be edited - the spirit cannot work her mind tricks without materializing.

Dreck, this is getting out of hand, need to act FAST!

Sorting through the smartlinks Snow Crash locates the assault rifle and gets to work, filaments of code working to ease a mark. The quickest thing he could think to do was take advantage of the smartlink system and get it to eject the clip. It's only buy the a couple of seconds, but seconds counted.

Hack on the Fly - readied Assault Riffle.
Hacking 6 + Logic 8 + Device Specialization 2 + Hot Sim 2 - Running Silent 2
Noise Reduction: Wireless Datajack bonus - 1, Signal Scrubber -2
Hack on the Fly against Assault Rifle: 16d6t5 4 hits
dreck... have to assuming he's running a good comlink so declare Edge to reroll failures
Hack on the Fly against Assault Rifle, Edge re-roll: 12d6t5 5
Total hits, 9, Sleaze limit 7.

Control Device - Smartgun system, Eject Clip. Free Action, marks required 1. Declaring final use of Edge, Push the Limit.
Electronic Warfare 4 + Intuition 5 + Edge 5 + Hotsim 2 - Running Silent 2
Noise Reduction: Wireless Datajack bonus - 1, Signal Scrubber -2
Control Device, Eject Clip - Push the Limit: 14d6t5 3 hits, 2 6s

Al was directly across the atrium when he saw Isaint put their quarry down.

He wished he could be more confident the man would stay down, but there was nothing for that right now.

He kept running in the same direction - he still wanted to clear this level of the parapet of any sleepers before they stacked up outside the target door, and it was now just as close to keep going.

<<@unkonwn runner: Correction, that's three unconscious chummers. Final chance: Let the Dr. go and I'll let you go.>>
Isaint changed the channel to exclude the opposition:
<<@Snow Crash: Can you give us any kind of surveillance from within the office? Do you have a bead on the hostage taker?>>

Carefully he went closer to the office door, still prepared for a surprise attack.

...

When he had finally reached the room, he drew the taser and a tiny mirror on a telescope stick. With trained careful movements he found a gap where he could see into the office.
When he entered, he would have only one shot. He would have to make it count.

@Aria
I'm not sure if I got this right: Is the hostage taker identical with Foe #1 or does Foe #1 lie somewhere outside behind some cover?
If it's the second, I'll edit my post accordingly.

In any case, I assume we are for the moment outside combat rounds.

Attribute Boost Drain AGI: Drain: 10d6t5 4 [10d6t5=2, 3, 5, 5, 6, 1, 2, 1, 5, 2] no drain
Attribute Boost Drain BOD: Drain: 10d6t5 4 [10d6t5=5, 1, 6, 6, 4, 2, 5, 1, 3, 3] no drain

Once at the office, Isaint activates hightened concentration and while checking with the mirror, he again tries to boost AGI:

@ MainTeam"Sirens inbound I Wont have a chance in hell holdin' em off hows about we get everyone out" Duke starts tearing down his terracotta and putting it in the carrying bag. He slings it over his shoulder and prepares to run for his bike, knowing if he gets caught with A sniper rifle he is fragged."Ok Jackhammer here's how i see it, either we go after the target and maybe get pinned down by the Cops or we find somewhere else to help from. I doubt we can make it to their side in time to assist with the Hostage Situation so run in for em and help em make it out? Or be terrible people and tactically retreat and not get paid for this drek. "course i need to help em so i get paid, guess ill take the chance losing my bike maybe ill pick it up later."Lowers down rope to rappel down, looks at Jackhammer"Well I'm Going in I was hired to make sure they got out and thats what im doing."

<Just got out, I have a drone in tow. Don't let Magic Eyes make you, Solo> sent Mel to her teammates, as she tried to situate herself to the entrance, just in case she had to come around and lend a hand.

Solo texts back... <<So their eyes are on you... I'd suggest you take them for a spin thorough town... I hope it will be alright with the magic eyes... >> But the spirit seems a bit difficult to control... charming in her own way... Solo almost envied that awakened dude for receiving such a booty call. He haven't seen her in the material plane yet, but she might as well be very pretty.
For some odd reason... spirits always tried to impress Solo... doing just a little bit extra, asking questions about his personal life. He never got deep enough... spirits have an habit for giving obscure answers when faced with questions about what they are and why do they find him interesting.

Rounding the last corner of his circuit and seeing no other active hostiles, Al slowed down and walked quietly up to the door to the target's office, positioning himself flat against the wall on the other side of the doorway from Isaint.

Though his focus was mainly on the room and his co-worker, he made sure to keep eyes on the guy on the floor in the doorway, as well as the guy with the grenade launcher the ork had dropped a ways back on the balcony. They were down for now, but no possum-playing play-actor was going to make a fool of Al.

The awakened suited dreads dude seemed to be following the spirit to to the room. Solo used the distraction to enter the car and start driving.  <<moving>> he texted. It has been a long time since he was in such a fancy car.  He checked the mirrors and tried to figure out if they were being followed.

Isaint moved the mirror carefully around and over the fallen runner that blocked the door to the office. He didn't like one bit what he saw. He pulled back the mirror and was about to use tactical gestures to Al and Daddy before he remembered that a) he wasn't with the KSK and b) they all had perfectly functional DNI communication:

<<Two looking towards the door, one of them has the doctor and threatens him with a pistol. A third looks out of the window. I can't see if that's the rigger or another specialist. If it's a rigger he should have a bit of trouble right now to get through my jammer at this distance.
We have to attack them simultaneously. I'll take the hostage taker, Al, you can take the other one. Use as much force as you want, but don't hurt the hostage. Daddy, let your spirit take the distracted one. It might be a mage, but in that case he will be at least trained to take care of the magic problem and not target us.

I'll would use a flash bang for a dynamic entry, but that might hurt the doctor. Does anyone of you have first aid skills, so we could get him back up if he gets hurt? I've only got a stim patch to get him functional again, but all in all I'd like to avoid this option.

What do you say?>>

[Jackhammer -Wednesday June 17th, 2076 - At Mathematics Institute on Observatory roof with Duke - Main Extraction team - Current condition 0 damage - packing up bow] Aaron slings his bow and puts the drawn arrow back in. "I forgot the blues won't be on our side." he responded to Duke. Clearly this was a whole different animal from security work.
"This might actually suit me better, once I get the hang of it." he thought to himself. Pulling out his commlink, he re-read a recent flurry of messages. He responded.
<< [Duke, Isaint, Daddy] Saint, if you can't get through the door I can install a new one for you wherever you want. Say the word. >>
With his message sent, he put his comm back away and began climbing down.

<<Appreciate the thought, Jackhammer, but we need the hostage alive and we don't want any more attention from the law than absolutely necessary. But it would be a good idea, if you get in position outside of the office, ready to perforate any would be escapees or reinforcements. I've left an AR marker for you, so you can find the window.>>

Isaint concentrated again on his team members:

<<Ok, what we do is called a dynamic entry: We move crosswise into the room with such speed, that the opposition has no chance to react before we are completely inside. The pattern is 1: me-left, 2: Al-right, 3: Spirit-left, 4: Daddy-you open the door and secure the entrance.
I'll set a countdown for each of you. Start moving when you see the star, not before and not any later. If we do this precisely, it will overwhelm them.>>

Ok, for all who don't have access to R&G:

To perform a Combat Maneuver Test, the designated leader needs to have the Small Unit Tactics Knowledge skill. They roll a Small Unit Tactics + Intuition Test. Any team members who also have the Small Unit Tactics skill can join on a teamwork test (or they can default on the test, making an Intuition – 1 Test), making a roll and applying their hits per the teamwork tests rule.

DYNAMIC ENTRY, STANDARD
Successes required: 4
Description: First developed by law-enforcement tactical response teams for use against barricaded subjects and/or in hostage situations, the standard Dynamic Entry tactic is to suddenly fill a confined area with overwhelming force and neutralize the threat. In a rare case of military adapting law enforcement tactics, the Dynamic Entry has become commonplace in small-scale, urban military actions. With Dynamic entry the team first “stacks up” outside the entrance(s) to the confined and/or barricaded position, out of sight of their target. On signal they enter fast—[...]Standard practice is for the team to go through in pairs, breaking left and right as they cross the threshold, until everyone is through. [...]As each pair enters, the team spreads along the perimeter of the room so each has a clear field of fire. The team leader is responsible for assigning positions in the line and selecting which direction they go in. The last team member who opened the door secures the entrance.
Benefits: If the attacking team breaches before they are seen by defenders, they receive a +3 attack modifier. If their approach and breach is known, the bonus is only +1.

So, if you want, you can make a INT-1 test to support Isaint

Oh, and depending on your desicion, we'll do it with or without a flash bang first through the door

Small Unit Tactics: 15d6t5 7

Yeah, you don't really need to do those rolls...
