Trying to watch two prone foes and Isaint all at once, Al listened to the computer-generated voice in his ear as his commlink translated the other operator's texted plan into audible words. Start moving when you see the star? Sheee-it. Bunch of damned SWAT-wannabe frippery. But the unshaven little man grit his teeth, swallowed hard, and thust one burn-melted hand into his pocket to toggle his link's feed to his eyes - the world swam and he bit back on the urge to vomit.

But there it was all diagrammed out for him - easy peasy.

He subvocalized into his mic, which would route voice or text back through his 'link, depending on the receiver's set-up: <<Use the flash. And go now - seconds count, kemo sabe.>>

<<Ok. We go in. 5...>>
Isaint concentrated while he took a flashbang with his left hand, while his right held the Defiance-Ex

He primed the grenade for impact and again called on the power of St. George to guide his hand. Amazingly this time the saint listened.
<3>
He tossed the grenade through the ajar door
<2>
A loud bang and a blinding light within the office

<<Execute *>>

Isaint took point and was through the door before the magnesium of his grenade had even burned out.

While driving Solo nervously looks in the mirrors and try to find a pursuer... Nothing... everything seems to be in order. He did not remember exactly who came up with the plan but his teammates seemed to be quite brilliant tacticians.  No news were good news - as he already reported that he is moving.

He knew that the main asset extraction got complicated, but he hoped that at least the wife and kids could be extracted without violence. After all any goon can break some skulls, but it take planning and brilliant execution to achieve your goal without excessive force.
He texted Mel and Frenchman just in case they'll need more details.
<< Magic eyes got distracted he is in room 217...  he is probobly naked. That spirit turned out to be quite a charmer... without even materializing.>>

Al followed Isaint in as directed, and it all went down just like on Tales of the Red Samurai, only faster. The guy by the window was still moving, so Al put one in his head without risking any of his own people's lives by bothering to care what he was doing. Hostage-taking coward.

The doc was groaning on the floor - didn't look like he was going anywhere under his own power without some serious chemical assistance. Al had patches in his pocket if no one else took care of it first. But two things that were more interesting at the moment were just inside and some distance outside the office window.

Crouching behind a big potted plant, Al pointed at the anchored ropes and det cord and said, "Well, looks like we got an exit all set up here for us. Trouble is," he added, squinting into the night, "less I miss my guess, that drone out there's the local law, an' headed this way."

Isaint retrieved the barbed taser darts from the face of the would be hostage-taker. One from the cheek, one from his lip.
'Sorry, but you had your chance.'
He trusted his comrades to secure the room while he applied a stim patch on the doctors exposed neck.
While he waited for him to wake up, he looked around for a moment. to Al's comment he said:

<<"To messy for my taste. I don't want to climb with a barely conscious person on my back. Let's just bug out the way we came in. We can detonate this rig when we are at the other side. That should give us enough diversion to make it out.

@Snow we need extraction on the south side.
@Duke and Jackhammer: Prepare for interference: If you can do so safely, try to attract their attention and then vanish.
@Wife and Kids extraction teams: We have our subject. Do you need assistance?>>

While he said this, he attached a data tap to the detonator, allowing Snow Crash to access their diversion.

"Ok, guys, the saints watched over us on this. Let's not waste their effort and get away before this building lights up. Watch my back while I carry that guy"
With that he stashed his weapons and other gear and heaved the doctor onto his shoulders like a hunter would carry a deer.

Al nodded and, once Isaint had the data tap in the detonator, he gave the set-up a quick check to make sure the dead guy had indeed completed his work. Then, satisfied, he tied the corpse to its own rappel line and leaned it against the window.

Then he checked the other two inert forms in the room, the one by the desk, the other in the door. Those without pulses joined their companion by the window. Of those that did have pulses, any that stirred at all got a rifle butt to the head.

Then he hefted his Remingon and took up rear guard behind Isaint, keeping an extra close eye on grenade boy out on the balcony.

"So the main team got their guy... but with that high profile extraction it is just the beginning. They need to disappear before the police gets involved." Knowing that their ruse will not last for long Solo keeps silent. He’ll let Frenchman and Mel with their DNI’s to figure out how discreet they want to be, but currently alone with the mark Solo feels vulnerable and with the other team opening fire -  he is not sure how much chatter will help, and stealth seems to be his best option for the meanwhile as the car distance itself from oxford towards the open road.
He picks up Rachel’s burner and turn it off. Right now it is just his deck disguised as a regular comlink. The deck is his only communication to the outside world and he feels that stealth is the best defense when you are alone. Frenchman and Mel know how sensitive their situation is better than him... he got other concerns right now to get Rachel to safely preferably without any combat stories.

<<Mel, I think Solo is clear. Let's make our exit. Drake's probably on your tail now too.>> The Frenchman hasted his speed to meet back with Mel. The flying drone was going to be an issue without a gun t take it down.
<<Step back inside, that'll confused the drone. I'm right behind.>>

The slender elven woman discreetly read Frenchman's message and decided to get back into the hotel, trying to avoid giving any good face shots to the flying drone that was following her. Once back inside, she quickly sent a message to confirm both her location and that she had gotten the previous message sent to her.

[Tobbis -Wednesday June 17th, 2076 - Following target in his Jackrabbit - Kid Extraction team - Current condition 2 Stun damage - in VR in Hot-Sim Chasing after car now- Maintaining CF on servent's commlink via focused concentration - Switching to Silent
Trailing after the car was a difficult task to say the least, when it was only reliant on the whole dog brain pilot. Tobbis had two machine sprites waiting in the wings to cover it, but sadly even they wouldn't be able to make the thing functional beyond simple directions.

realizing this, he began to come up with an idea. He'd need to trace the commlink. It was tricky, because of that giant eyeball in the sky overhead, watching, waiting for some hacker to slip up, and then down comes the foot of god on them. He'd rather not experience that himself.

While floating behind his car, watching the icons of the world of the matrix wiz and spin around him, the changeling focused his mind to the task. He was going to have to slip in carefully and quietly. Tracking the position of the commlink. If nothing else, he was going to follow the target, cause his three foot tall self wasn't going to be dragging any teen out of any vehicle.

So far Solo and Hal have cameras 8/10 cameras left in my possession.
Hal has a Data jack of mine

Doing a very simple hack for this first job.
Hack on the Fly: 13d6t5 4   13d6t5: 4 [13d6t5=6, 6, 5, 1, 6, 4, 4, 4, 3, 4, 3, 3, 4]

Solo texts Mel and Franchman << I seem to be safe for the moment - you should get out fast... at least get to the car with your guns... you are vulnerable and may be captured soon. If there is a  drone tracking Rachel runners will soon follow... and the other team are the "shot first ask questions later" type. Also there is an additional spirit service - if you require anything...>>

They may have something implemented and probobly have all these internal armor stuff but nobody like to be pieced with bullets.

Isaint reached the door with his burden without apparent problems. The doc was slowly regaining consciousness and blabbed groggily something Isaint couldn't really understand as a non-native speaker.

<<Snow, we are at the door. Be a dear and blow up that rig those amateurs installed. Also, we need that car now. The operation zone is getting hot, I can hear the sirens.>>

The adrenaline still flooded through his veins and he had to fight down the euphoria for having successfully rescued the doctor. He knew that they were still very much in danger and the other teams had to bring down their own quarries first, so he could claim his payday.

To Al he said: "You are pretty quick on your feet and I noticed a whiff of magic on you. Are you an adept by any chance?"

Aaron sees the message across his image link and shakes his head as he moves to enter the Maths building. "Distraction just isn't my gig."
He is stopped in his tracks as he meets Isaint at the door. "Sorry, I don't have any noise-makers or voo-doo magic. That's not what I was hired for." Aaron says, indicating his bow. "And I think having me solve the drone problem is a real bad way to do it."

"Nice to meet you in the flesh. Don't worry, the distraction is taken care of remotely. We don't want to do more damage than necessary. It does you no good and just ups your place on the law's shit list.

That said: I read from the hotel team that there is a drake around. My patron and me will make an exception in that regard. Have your bow ready for a heart shot."

Isaint grinned behind his mask.

"Alouicious Harlan Guthrie, esquire. Pleased ta meetcha," Al said, extending a burn-melted pay to the archer.

That was all the time there was for pleasantries - they had to keep moving. And he was still a bit bemused by his earlier exchange with Isaint.

"You are pretty quick on your feet and I noticed a whiff of magic on you. Are you an adept by any chance?" the human-looking ork had asked.

"What, ya mean like one o' them keeb ball players?" was all that Al could think to answer. He'd been called a hell of a lot of things in his day, but no one had ever mistaken him for a dandelion eater.
