[Thursday June 18th, 2076, ~01:33, Central London somewhere, headed for Docklands]

Al chuckled. "Doc, I said as far as I was concerned, we's workin' fer you. Which means I'm workin' fer you, pay me or not. Rest o' these yahoos, really couldn't say. You'll have ta talk ta them. End o' the day, ya might hafta make some hard choices fer you an' yer family, the safest way may not be yer preferred way. But push comes ta shove, I ain't takin' ya nowhere ya don't wanna go."

Then he buzzed the team network: <<Few pieces o' the puzzle, y'all. Doc was talkin' ta Evo, but they never finished the deal. So we warn't really who he was waitin' for, an' neither was them other folks. Now all that tells me is Art was lyin'. But why he'd lay out that fat advance to have us catch a guy, if he didn't wanna collect 'im...If'n he'd wanted the feller dead, he'd've paid someone fer that, an' shore as hell not bothered with the family snatch. My best guess is Art got taken out, maybe even gave up the meet point, an' you know the rest o' the story. Now ol' Al's headed fer that address I done give y'all. Join me there or find another spot ta lick yer wounds, but stay in touch - this ain't done yet.>>

Then, commlink pickup and lapel mic off, he turned back to the man beside him. "Um, jist ta be clear here, Doc," and here Al tapped the side of his head just as the man had, "you referrin' ta the prodigious powers of yer noodle, or you carryin' somethin' up there of a more digital nature?"

Isaint had watched fascinated as his contact modified his precious Fairlight commlink with a module. This module now ran a virtual cyber deck and contained one of the most advanced agent systems money could buy.
Isaint had decided to call it Susi. As support he had given his new assistant four Nixdorf secretaries. Combined with a few sleaze dongles and a special cyber program, Susi now could not only hide his PAN effectively but also make his gear appear to the casual observer as harmless RFID tags. He was also able to delegate searches to her and her cluster of minions. Last but not least was the ability to open doors, jam cameras and do other illegal matrix actions with their combined processing power.

Smiley's request came just at the right moment to test the new system while he kept concentrating on the London traffic:
"Susi: Start teamwork search. Query: Firefight with downed helicopter. Of interest: Affiliation of mage at crime scene."

Virtual machine is running Browse and Agent 6

The four rating 3 agents make teamwork matrix search check for the agent 6:
Teamwork Agent 1: 6d6t5 3 [6d6t5=4, 5, 5, 5, 2, 1]
Teamwork Agent 2: 6d6t5 2 [6d6t5=2, 6, 1, 3, 6, 1]
Teamwork Agent 3: 6d6t5 2 [6d6t5=2, 2, 5, 4, 3, 6]
Teamwork Agent 4: 6d6t5 2 [6d6t5=3, 2, 2, 6, 3, 5]
Adding +4 to limit and +6 bonus dice (capped at skill level of leader)

Teamwork Leader Agent 6: 18d6t5 6 [18d6t5=4, 4, 2, 5, 3, 1, 5, 4, 2, 6, 3, 1, 6, 4, 2, 5, 5, 3]

Should another time intervall be nessesary:
Agent 1: 6d6t5 3 [6d6t5=1, 3, 5, 6, 5, 3]
Agent 2: 6d6t5 1 [6d6t5=3, 1, 2, 4, 5, 1]
Agent 3: 6d6t5 1 [6d6t5=4, 3, 3, 3, 5, 1]
Agent 4: 6d6t5 3 [6d6t5=2, 6, 5, 4, 5, 2]
Teamwork Leader Agent 6 2nd roll: 17d6t5 7 [17d6t5=2, 3, 3, 5, 4, 6, 5, 3, 1, 6, 1, 3, 3, 5, 1, 6, 5]

So, if it's out their the agents should have the answer in at least 12 hours.

When Al's message reached him, Isaint replied:
<<Will meet you there. I here the scottish countryside is marvelous this time of year if you want to hide from the law.>>

He sped on while his personal super computer crunched numbers and sieved the matrix for the wanted information

News item: In the early hours of this morning a Saeder Krupp registered commuter helicopter came down in Soho after experiencing mechanical failure. The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene but thankfully there were no passengers. There are unconfirmed reports of casualties on the ground but the police have declined to comment while their investigation is ongoing.

[Tobbis -Thursday June 18th, 2076 - By the bloody stars - Little Car - Current condition 0 Stun damage -In VR- Silent - At snow's feet]
Sifting through the data trails, Tobbis begins working on snooping through the decker's stuff attempting to break into informational files to see just who he was talking to. Meanwhile his cameras keep watch on Snow who'd be driving his car soon after Solo Left.

<<if one of you could keep an eye on me.. I'm snooping their decker. >>

24 posts worth add to sheet - 37th Post
So far Solo and Hal have cameras 8/10 cameras left in my possession.
Hal has a Datatap of mine
Every combat round Tobbis spends 10 Initiative points to go into total matrix defense so his willpower is added to all his defense tests.

Snoop: 11d6t5 2

Defense vs Matrix Perception: 12d6t5 212d6t5: 2 [12d6t5=4, 2, 1, 5, 1, 3, 3, 6, 3, 2, 4, 3]

I wasn't suppose to put rule of six on this, but accidentally did. Luckily it puts whatever explodes into brackets with the first number being the one actually rolled. So its just 11 hits on my brute force defense.
Defense vs Brute Force: 21d6h5 12 21d6h5: 12 [21d6h5=[6, 6, 4], 1, 2, [6, 4], [6, 1], 5, 4, [6, 4], 1, [6, 1], 3, 5, 1, [6, 1], 1, 3, [6, 1], 3, [6, 1], 1, 5]

Hopefully he tries to brute force me. Cause this was less than spectacular. However, I would spend edge on this if needed to reroll lost hits.
Defense against Hack on the Fly/Dataspike: 19d6t5 319d6t5: 3 [19d6t5=4, 4, 2, 1, 3, 6, 3, 4, 4, 3, 1, 1, 3, 2, 5, 2, 1, 2, 5]

Concepts are great, but implementation sucks. Why not improve it?

<<When the cops start looking around the crime scene we just left, they are going to find the wagemage that brought the walking landslide to the party.  Any chance you net jockeys can find out about him from the authorities?  It might be a long shot, but we might figure out who the bad guys are besides us.   ;) 8) ;D >>

Solo texts back>> I know a guy at city hall I'll try to discreetly find out who we're up against. He is quite a busy person, I hope he has time for me.

Ben Goodman was one of the long time politicians in London, while never in authority of real power, he was well connected and knew whom to ask. He was a consul member, one of many but still that position had its perks. Solo was working for him once. He helped Ben get that consul seat  he was drooling all over. It was a few years ago. He did that by uncovering some dirt on his competitors.  He was called Magic at the time. He texted Ben's secret comlink, the one he did the 'dirty job' with. The call sign was Batman.

>> Batman - This is /\/\491( ... I see in the news that there was this helicopter crush over Soho. I need a favor, can you discreetly snoop around this accident. Something smells bed, I need to know who is really involved - annd what happened.  Can you check what the police knows. Not that crap for the news... as usual do a generous D and you can collect a favor next time you need someone of my caliber.

(D donation ).
Solo figured that having the consul member check what the police knows will tell them just how badly they are screwed. He sort of felt sorry as to buying the bike but he was an implosive one. He just wasn't sure how much more work Solo is able to do after this gig, he may have to go back to the days of Magic, or poetry and nonsense. These guys were the greatest he mentally laughed with M.

<<Right back with you Tobias... I am browsing the matrix next to you trying to mark their decker if anything goes south I'll do what I can to hep.>>

[Thursday June 18th, 2076, ~01:33, eastbound on North Woolwich Road, Docklands]

Al also answered Smiley and Solo's messages: <<Groovy, Solo baby. Ol' Al might know a feller, too. I'll shoot 'im a text.>>

The drive through Canary Wharf had been smooth enough, and now things were getting seedier by the second as he sped along a dual carriageway into the heart of the Docklands, the only other traffic at this hour big cargo haulers.

He voiced a text as he passed a Kawasaki-Kisen tractor trailer: <<Grant, that chopper crash in Soho. That really SK? Someone else? Had some investors lookin' at that area, gittin' nervous...any info be much appreciated.>>

Mel was reading the latest news flash when she got Smiley's message. <Let me see what I can dig up for you honey> was her answer. She then quickly sent a message to Bonnie Singh, the detective she knew over at Scotland Yard.

<Bonnie, it's your favourite elf. Something happened in Soho not too long ago and I need to know who was there, more specifically a certain wagemage. As usual, we can discuss terms over dinner, my treat. -Love, M>

Bonnie Singh is a detective working at Scotland Yard. C/L stands at 5/4

Saeder-Krupp? Well, seems like I really went against a dragon. Isaint waited for his agent to spill any more in dept info, especially things people had posted on their social media sites or what those underground bloggers had dug up.
In a matrix dead zone he exchanged SINs and had his bike change numberplate and signature before he headed back into the city towards the meeting point. His coat now was a simple brown-grey and was reminiscent of a macintosh raincoat.

While a good portion seem to have decided to lay low and disappear for a couple hours, the Frenchman decided to bring himself and his small crew to the new rendez-vous point, at Al's safehouse by the docks. He was't sure what they were going to find there, but at least enough fancy cars were going there on the occasion to have their engines abused by some hothead that his Shin Hyung would not catch too much attention.

He trusted enough of his teammates would try to find out about the behind the scene of the attack that he could concentrate on keeping an eye on the family and the safehouse itself.
He nod at the short Al and follow his instruction as to were to go and park. It was his place, he knew better than anyone else the layout.

The Frenchman took a few deep breath to register the various scents present in and around the safehouse. It would allow him to detect more easily any new scent approaching.

He said hi to Rachel but approached Al for more chichat.

So, it seems we have a family of four on our hands and some well equipped people willing to geek us all to get their hands on it. How many people can this bolthole sustain?

[Thursday June 18th, 2076, ~01:53, Docklands]

Driving along the north bank of the Thames, Al took the left turn at the off-license, then a quick right onto his street. It was all light industrial, and ran along an artificial inlet off the river. The buildings on the landward side were warehouses, machine shops, various fix-it joints, many with residences on the upper floors. About half were abandoned, which meant squatted, with the other half still in active use.

The side of the street on the water side had much the same make-up, except that with access to the river most of the businesses were oriented toward maritime needs - boat repair and outfitting, mostly. Probably some smuggling - he'd never asked.

His own building was on the water side. By the time he got there Snow was behind him, and he recognized the Frenchman's Korean job already across the street. The street facing had one walk-in door, and four roll-up doors for vehicle access - he used his comm to open three and led the way in with his new Toyota Elite. Once the other two cars were in, he rolled the doors back down behind them.

Inside was a large auto mechanic shop, though there had been no physical or AR signage outside to hint that it was open. There were four service bays complete with hydraulic lifts, digital diagnostic stations on casters, and tools more or less scattered everywhere. Deeper in, there was an indoor dock with a speedboat tied up, secured on the water side by another heavy roll-up door. A crane straddled the interior waterway.

Up the left-hand wall ran a flight of metal grill steps to a landing with two doors leading off of it.

As shadowrunners and shadowrunnees wearily climbed out of the three cars, Al lit a fresh cigarette and spoke with the Frenchman. "Sustain? Hell, what I got in here wouldn't sustain a family o' river rats. Mostly a take-out man, muhself," he said, glancing meaningfully at a metal bin overflowing with styrofoam containers. "But the delivery boys obviously know how ta git here, an' I always pay cash. Or we kin make run down ta the off-license - they got a real fine range o' soyrittos. Onna plus side, as ya kin see, we got no shortage o' space." He motioned with his cigarette at the doors on the landing. "One onna left's mine, other one's empty, got an en suite, I kin toss out a mattress, family kin stay in there. Seats in that there Elite, hell, I reckon I'd git a better night's sleep on them than on my own damned bed." He shrugged. "Ain't the Ritz, but no one'll freeze, an' safe as anywhere fer now."

The Frenchman looked around the space, taking mental notes of the entrances and possible ways in and out, including roof access.

Quite a place you got there. Ain't much to look at but the mechanic shop is pretty impressive. Now I know where to bring my car for fixing - which my be sooner than later considering how things are going. Do you do the repairs yourself?
It's not my specialty, but do you have any sort of matrix hook up? Cameras or sensors of sort?

He looked at the dog and a soft grin appeared on his face. Or maybe you rely on just a good snout?

"Cameras? Yeah, I thought about puttin' somethin' like that up, maybe some better locks onna doors. Jist never sounded more innerestin' than watchin' the trid. But then I ain't been doin' a lot o' this sorta work inna six months since I got back here to the Smoke. Keep well 'nuff to yerself, then, yeah, a good snout'll do jist fine." And he scratched Spike behind the ears.

"You wanna beef up security ta meet the needs o' the day, well, mi casa su casa."

Then, remembering how he was raised, he bounded up the stairs to throw some semblance of bedding and maybe a chair or two into the spare room.

Hallucination had been quiet during the ride to the safe house. Now that they were there she turned to the empty space next to here where the spirit she had summoned was. Can you watch over this house tongiht and let me know if anybody approaches it? she asked it. After getting an affirmative she got out of the car and walked over to where Al and the Frenchman were. "I have my spirit watching over the house. It ought to help with beefing up the security." she told the two of them.

With his new racing bike right from display he drove happily to the safe house. "Nice view he said... is there anything to drink tough?"
