Hello altogether,
I thought I'd give it another try with a play-by-post.
I would focus on a campaign with 4 players, which should have a rather gritty style (dark dystopic touch).
Despite a small number of house rules, I would stick to the standard rule set of SR5.
13 Houserules:
1: direct combat spells: optional per full 3 force levels +1DV, but drain increases by +1 each
2: resistance against Con is possible with: Logic + Charisma
3: when a spirit is summoned/bound, if force level > magic attribute of the summoner/binder, the spirit will use its edge to defend against the summoning/binding.Up to the magic level he just does this if the summoner/binder treated spirits of the given type not well in the past
4: Run&Gun optional rule 5 is used (the others are not used). All heavy armor (>12 in sum) increase the own size category by 1 step
5: Sniper Rifles need to be readied after each movement or defence (complex action; only simple action if Tripod or Bipod is used); hunting rifles always need only a simple action
6: shotguns with slug ammuntion: DV -1 on long distance, -2 on extreme
7: MGs: per started -3 defence via multiple bullets, the target gets additional -1; if multiple bullets are used to increase damage (as in Run&Gun), you get an additional +1DV (only once)
9: Edge: cannot be used for crafting or requisitions; burning edge to save ones life always has side effects (e.g. losing a limb [incl. loss of essence], mental trauma or other handicaps decided by the GM)
10: if you have no matching tools for a given task, the test gets -4 (only -2 if you have improvised tools)
11: Damage overflow is in Body Combat Turns and not Body minutes; to safe the characters life with Edge, a charakter needs to be stabilized within Body*Body in minutes after his/her death or be evacuated by DoCWaggon (or similar) within the same time frame.
12: the expanded medicine rules from bullets and bandages are in effect
13: Reckless Spellcasting Drain Minimum is 5 (2+3).
Anyone interested, please pm me or post in this thread.
Character creation would be standard, or Life Modules (your choice).
Rolling the dice would be trust-based (so everyone roles for himself/herself) - fairness ist mandatory !
Looking forward to it
