Think of a combination dial with a retina scanner in the center of the dial.  Also, just below is a print scanner.  Looks like you thumb print, then eye scan, then combination.  Though it's possible you do it in a different order...

Is there a way to determine the rating of this lock?

Not exactly.  State of the Art, you'd say these are higher than the Rating 6 locks to the doors.  Feasibly 'much' higher.

There's an error in your bbcode.  you put the eclipse directly following the url, so it included the eclipse and the word you as part of the url.  But I did manage to find it:

http://orokos.com/roll/324924

With 6 hits, there are plenty of very faded signatures indicating that spells were cast in here, combat spells, manipulation, and otherwise.  They sort of line up with what you might expect to be... 'training'.  The magical analogy to practicing your gun skills at the range.  Some of them match the aura you saw on the receptionist before.  Most don't.  There are too many to pick them apart individually.

Also the ward anchor is sitting on a desk, the Ward has a higher Force than your magic rating!  No wonder it was trouble to get through.

But there are no current magical threats that you can see.

The pictures sent back to Requiem make it just fine, there is nothing blocking signals in and out of this location.

From the pictures, Requiemc can easily make out several Ares Alphas and other high end Ares gear, such as a single Desert Strike, and a few Crusader's and Predators.  A couple of combat shotguns and looks like they eschewed the Stoner-Ares for an RPK HMG.

Harder to make out are what's in the cases.  Again, from his time with Ares he can recognize a few of the cases outright.  B&E Gear, Optics, Medkits.  Some of them must be for combat armor, though there are only two boxes of those.

This is literally the armory of a well-funded HTR or Assault team.  Probably just one team but enough gear to account for different Ops.  No different than the Arms Room of his old fire watch team.

Magic question if I took the ward anchor what could I do with it? Would that alert the mage that set it?

Can I take the object with me? Would that alert the mage? What does it look like?

1. Yes.

2. Yes.

3.  It's an office tchotchke, it is a polished pewter lotus on a nice wooden base, with a plate on the front that says:

@ Skull

Hardware Test, Threshold 1 to find a spot for the Data Tap.

Hardware Test, Threshold 3 to get into a Workstation instead.

@ Aria

No problem!  Hope things are either crazy in a good way, or that they die down soon enough :)
