For those of you who want to free-Roleplay in the IC thread,please do so.  I would love to see further inter character development..  When you guys are done, I will roll up any RP and grant one or two additional points of Karma.

This run covers the first months of the campaign's PbP run.  You also get a 'Milk Run' that you will earn 5 Karma for, which you can exchange to Nuyen at a 1 for 2000¥ rate (so 5 Karma 0¥, 4 Karma 2000¥, 3 Karma 4000¥, etc).  If you write up the details of that milk run, you can earn up to 3 additional Karma (that should be posted on the Obsidian Portal.

You will also have 14 days for personally finding gear, training skills or attributes, or 'Working for the Man' or 'Working of the People'.  The last two take up 7 days and allow you to exchange Karma to Nuyen or vice versa at the same rate I just posted.

If you have any questions, ask them here.  I'll get in touch with you guys when we're bout to start on month two, expect it to be in a few weeks, I need to wrap up triple threat and then start another recruiting drive.

If you haven't already, there is still time to write a short fiction worth up to 3 Karma points for Month 1.  That opportunity will close 1 week prior to starting Month 2.  This does not include writing up the 'milk run', so you can basically get karma for two 'write-ups' in the next few weeks.

Anything you want to by, change, advance, etc, please post it here and I can make the requisite changes to your character sheets.

1 week prior to starting month 2 I'll open it up for month 2 short fictions etc.  Also, I updated the Obsidian Portal site, it looks nicer and I added a few things (like the story so far).  Some of that stuff is IC postings on the 'Pincushion', you can see that NPCs have made 'comments'.  Feel free to edit those wiki pages and append your own IC comments to any IC post.

Thanks for being excellent players, of the three runs, this has been the most joyful to run and I look forward to continuing the story for month 2.

OK, so I have updated Mother's current Karma and nuyen (no change actually) on the Portal.  Note that you can earn more by fleshing out your background more.

I assumed then that your milk run was for karma only.

After paying 10K to work for the people for the maximum amount and paying your next month's lifestyle cost of 2000, you have no change in nuyen.

You have one week with which to perform any training or looking for gear.  Remember that you can begin training and finish it later.

Thank you.  I have enjoyed this very much.  Does anyone wish to do a short Milk Run as a pair or more?  Or is that a solo thing?  Also, I forget where to look for the awards we already received for background, etc.

I believe the word 'Karma' on your character sheet is a link to your karmic breakdowns.

Teaming up on milk runs is fine, but if only one of you does the write up, only that person gets the bonus karma.  You can do whatever you like to split the work creatively, thoug.  It's more about creating stories to share and breathing life and depth to your characters, not me grading papers

Yes, I've enjoyed the character interaction very much too!  And didn't even need to draw a weapon which is a refreshing change of pace!!!

I've amended Requiem's sheet to sort out the Cannon link and change SMG rounds to LMG...!  Now I just need to think about how I spend all that glorious karma and find time to write up a milk run

For those stilll on board, month 2 will start on 8 November.  1 November is the last day to turn in a fiction for month 1.  The write up for the 'milk run' should be done before November 8.

So, in Shadowrun Missions, they added this concept.  Basically for folks who have a lot of cash but need karma, or vice versa, you spend a week 'working for the man' or 'working for the people'.

The idea is that you do some soulless work and get paid for it, but at the cost of your karma.  Or you spend your money doing good deeds or pro bono work and it feeds your soul.

You basically get to swap karma for nuyen at a 1 for 2000 exchange rate, up to five points of karma worth.

In Missions, you can do this once between any two shadow runs.  In SDS, you can do it once a month.

It takes a week of your time.

The particulars of what you are doing are up to you.

I have one character with a Corporate Limited SIN.  Basically, when she works for the man, it represents time she is spending in her corporate office.  I have another character who came from the Containment Zone in Chicago.  After her first big score, I had her 'work for the people' where she basically took her paycheck and used it to improve the squatter's community she lived in, buying toys for children, weapons for the guards, and other improvements.  Then Lighthouse razed the place to the ground as part of a mob retaliation.  Because he's an asshole 

Also, if you guys are planning on joining us for month 2, please make a note of it in the recruiting thread, I am not taking for granted that anyone is going to take part in the ongoing story.
