Looks like a martial art may be a worthwhile investment?  Whats the club one?

Instead of a staff you may want one of the electrical staffs instead, so you have a shock option (plus they're cool :p ).

I'm wondering if it might be worthwhile to sacrifice 1 point of essence for some bioware for this guy, though that would make the building pretty tight...

There's a stun baton (probably not of interest to you, as its not a staff).

There's also the Maul Stun Staff, which has great AP and does electric damage - its in Run & Gun.  8R availability, so its legal.  Seems like it'd be useful for when you need to bring some major 'firepower'.

Critical Strike 1 isn't really worthwhile. It's just +1 damage. Crit Strike can be pretty good with multiple levels but it's pretty superfluous at level 1

Get a personalized grip on your club of choice. 100 nuyen for +1 ACC is a no brainer.

Your ranges combat options are pretty poor. You will have trouble in a lot of firefights or versus drones. You have no real way to contribute to combat vs spirits.

Where is Supernatural Toughness and what does it do?

For how much PP?

In any case that's a solid meh for the same reason as critical strike. I would consider sacrificing some essence for Bone Aug and Orthoskin if you're worried about damage.

1.0. Thinking dropping alot of powers adding 2 levels of strike and 1 of agility

At AGI 7 upping it to 8 for 1 PP is not worthwhile. I'd get AGI Boost 2, you'd be rolling 8 dice and hits would add to AGI for a few rounds, which is going to get you more AGI than the flat 1. Maybe also get an Elemental Weapon to take up your other Simple on the first pass.

No Mentor Spirit? Wolf or Eagle look good for this character.

Looking at those two mentors scare me.   He does not have the composure to know when to run and -2 in all physical (due to allergy) would screw me over imo

Correct me if I'm wrong but this character seems based on Son Goku from the Journey West. Not knowing when to run sounds extraordinarily appropriate to me.

My point still stands.  :P

Really, Wolf is not anything too terrible since PCs rarely run anyway, and you can always post-Edge.
