Lemme know what rolls you want me to make to keep an eye on the radio/matrix chatter.

How about a handful of Matrix Perception rolls.

Dayam.  Only 3 not GREAT rolls, and only 1 that was meh.  With Ohanzee had had my luck!

How about a handful of Matrix Perception rolls.

Since we're on high alert, I'll toss in a few regular old Perception Tests for Ace and Chino.  Also giving Chino an Edge Test (1) to see if he's paying attention, or spending too much time with his toys.  If he fails, I'll give him the Distracted mod.

Edge Test: 4d6t5 0
Ok, so Chino's distracted.

Chino's Perception Tests (-2)
Perception: 3#6d6t5 2 3 3

Ace's Perception Tests
Perception: 3#10d6t5 2 4 4

Chino, distracted, is only slightly less effective than Ace.

Thanks, these will inform the IC post.

@Mal, I'm going to be rolling Perception and Assensing for you too, unless you do it first.

It's amazing what rolling 50% will do for you.  Ace will just have to keep telling himself that while Chino may hear whispering, and see obscured objects, he is actually seeing that which is hidden.   ;)

Thanks, these will inform the IC post.

Well, frag.  I was hoping that they wouldn't be needed.

Ohanzee Perception: Intuition + Perception + Spec: 9d6t5 1 hit

Ohanzee Assensing: Intuition + Assensing + Spec: 10d6t5 2 hit

Doc took all the hits.

I made some mild edits to my long IC post, mostly to have Chino speak some of the information instead of the omniscient narrator writing it out.

Now, on to Sam's post:

Katsina's Instruction: Charisma 3 + Instruction 1: 4d6t5 1 hit, a hit!

Also, very nearly a glitch. But we're playing 51%, so not a glitch. Katsina is able to show Sam some of the basics about magic. Over the course of the day (or two days), they conclude that Sam does not have the ability to cast spells or enchant. Katsina doesn't know summoning so she can't check for that.

Katsina has already observed Sam going Berserk during the attack on Chino. By process of elimination, that makes Sam a Physical Adept.

I was just catching up on the thread and when I saw that you would do my rolls I was like "YES!" After how I've been rolling and how you've been rolling, I was sure it'd result in some better than average rolls, but it seems the bad luck is following Ohanzee, no matter who rolls for him. :(

Ohanzee'd threaten to burn the place to the ground, but that might be an improvement. Ohanzee is curious about why they think SecForce would be looking for him. The threat to report him to SecForce loses its teeth if he has no reason to fear SecForce (obviously he does, but they don't necessarily know that).

But, aside from that, I think he's probably going along with the offer - they are too close to wrapping this thing up to risk a major event and if things go south later, they need to be in top form - any injuries from this engagement could be the difference between success and failure later.

Ohanzee should be getting the impression that this is a disreputable establishment, perhaps a front. They did allude to "doing business on our turf," which implies territoriality. They are likely reasoning that anyone who walks in the door with half a kilo of gold jewelry probably doesn't have a better, more legitimate outlet. Ohanzee, a couple days removed from a bath, isn't exactly the picture of respectability at the moment - not exactly the type that would have this much jewelry to their name. The fact that Ohanzee is a powerful shaman but clearly not a corper might further reinforce their impression that he's on their side of the law.

But, aside from that, I think he's probably going along with the offer - they are too close to wrapping this thing up to risk a major event and if things go south later, they need to be in top form - any injuries from this engagement could be the difference between success and failure later.

Sounds good, and there's wisdom in that. There's definitely an element of "do I quibble over two grand on general principle or do I let it slide since I might be a few days away from a six- or seven-figure payday". Are you composing a response?

I'll try to get an IC post up today, but busy at work.  Doc votes take the money and run.  Mal's logic is *very* sound on this one.  Lets live to fight another day.  In the grand scheme of these events, ¥2k ain't worth it.

Not sure how I'd respond for either Ace or Chino ICly since they're both in the car but OOC that sounds good to me.

I haven't decided yet whether Doc's response to Ace's question is final enough for him or not, but considering how he'd really rather not talk about his mental state to begin with, he'll probably let it ride.

The assumption is that Doc is monitoring the situation, both for Matrix security and Ohanzee's physical security. Ace and Chino are aware of what's going on and can contribute ICly.
