Every team member needs one of those Antidote patches, should Sam let loose with the experimental nades, and someone finds themselves downwind.  No strong opinions on the Slap Patch.  Ace and Chino sure wouldn't mind having them on-hand to slap on if things look like they're about to head downhill, but Sam probably needs one more.

I have a feeling that checking out the obelisk could take awhile.  I know I wouldn't want to drop that kind of change without kicking the tires.

Okay, we'll move the obelisk to its new location closer to the road just outside the BGC. Ohanzee will gladly take a snowmobile or two to use as cover or a means of escape if needed, and position it nearby accordingly.

Ohanzee is good for an hour (-ish) before his patch wears off, and I'm not 100% that Canon will be done with the obelisk by then. Fortunately he got some good heals, so he'll still be conscious (barely) when that happens. But he's not keen to use another patch as that'd put him over. He'll acquiesce to Katsina's plan to use the med kit on Rozkhi. He's against using the trauma patch on him.

Diamondback's two powers are Concealment and Natural Weapon. While technically Concealment is a physical effect and would be perfectly visible on the astral, I think we've been playing it as working in the astral too so it's worth doing. Otherwise he'd just take venom again.

Ohanzee also would like to try to time things and pull off a Kything ritual (Grimoire, p133) at force 6. It will take 6 minutes to complete and will last 6 minutes, so he wants to finish the ritual about 2-3 minutes before the main force (vehicles) arrive. That means he'll need to get started soon after moving the obelisk, so he'll have to forego interrogating the prisoners. It's up to you if this is possible since even though we amended the ritual magic rules so that all rituals are known and this one specifically doesn't require a lodge (or "circle" as they call it), it does mention that it usually uses candles as reagents (though I suspect that any reagents will do).

Let me know if that's cool and I'll make the rolls.

Aside from that, I think O is good to go. I'll have an IC up sometime today or by noon (PST) tomorrow at the latest.

As for using another slap patch on Sam, you can only attempt to heal damage once by First Aid and once by Magic (in that order). After that, it can only be healed by rest (and maybe an Adept's Empathic Healing power). If he takes additional damage, he can attempt to heal just the new damage. So an additional patch wouldn't help him, unfortunately.

Also, we should maybe get ready to arm the bomb.

While Kything is an excellent idea, it requires the Sensing metamagic which Ohanzee knows not.

Katsina's attempt to stabilize Rozkhi. It's a longshot since she needs 3 hits on 3 dice: Logic 5 - Defaulting 1 + Medkit 3 - Poor Conditions 2 - Awakened patient 2: 3d6t5 0 hits, lol no

Diamondback will use Concealment to help hide those who plan on hiding (namely Ace and Sam). They find themselves naturally camouflaging with the snow.

You didn't include teamwork on the medkit from Doc.  Was that on purpose?

I didn't want to assume that Doc would be willing to help keep Rozkhi alive. If Doc wants to help, feel free to roll your Logic+First Aid-working remotely (I think the modifier is -2, but away from book) and then reroll the successes.

Gah! I though that Sensing was just another ritual. Well, that blows.

I'd really rather not "interview" the captives. I just don't have it in me to role play an extended dialog like that. I'm not even sure I know what information would be relevant at this point. "Tell me about me"? It seems pretty clear that we were all monsters, which really makes the captives that used to know us likely monsters as well. Ohanzee's way more likely to come out of such a session feeling like he needs a shower than learning anything of use.

So, I'm open to ideas. If anyone has questions they feel these guys could answer, I'm more than happy to make the appropriate social roll and see if we get a result, if it's okay with Tec that we just do a "after talking with them, Ohanzee learns" sort of summary rather than tie up the game for a couple more days with exposition.

Doc is going to trust Katsina and her ability to possibly destroy a future threat.

So he can actually just do this remotely.  Probably should have had him do it remotely as his -2 modifier would be better than anyone else's default rolls :/  Bad on me for not re-reading the rules on healing again.

For me doing it on my own:
Remote Medkit (Log 9 + FA 6 + MedKit 3 - Poor Conditions 2 - Remote 2 = 14): 14d6t5 4

For me helping katsina:
TW FA roll (Log 9 + FA 6 + MK 3 - Remote 2 = 16): 16d6t5 7 A surprising number of dice, but don't think it's gonna be enough since Katsina got 0 hits to begin with.
Applying TW test results (7): 7d6t5 2 Nope, not enough.

Sam has his own reasons for wanting to keep Rohzki alive for a little bit longer, at least.

Ohanzee didn't remove any dice for the background count. Let's make sure that Levitate still works: Background Count: 2d6t5 0 hits, no change

Writing the IC post now.

Ball is in your court. As always, everyone is free to post ICly, but primarily we need an opening speech by Ohanzee.

This doesn't have to be a sentence-by-sentence conversation. Go ahead and lay things out in paragraphs and I'll respond in kind. If Cannon wanted to attack first he would have done so already, so you can assume that he's here to hear what you have to say.

Holy CRAP! I'll get something up tonight or tomorrow morning.
But the short of it is, Sam will stay near the obelisk for the opening of the convo.

Did we skip over the ¥1mil deposit, or did I just miss it?

There hasn't been an opportunity to exchange nuyen yet. You haven't provided anything worth paying for yet. Obviously the next steps will be critical.

I thought we were posting the ¥1m up to make sure they didn't just kill us and take off with it.
Wasn't that the whole point of Doc being off-site as an escrow type situation?
