- making RCCs more critical to the riggers arsenal.

and making drones near useless to anyone BUT a rigger.

No, just expensive. Autosofts are limited by pilot rating not DR.  And you can upgrade the pilot rating of any drone.  So you can upgrade the pilot to 6 then run a rating 6 AS, and many of your die pools will be 12, some are DR + AS rating, but most are Pilot + AS rating.

I think they actually made it better for autonomous drones now.

ETA: though expensive. Upgrading your drone will cost a lot of ¥ and rating 5/6 is forbidden, so you are illegal at that point.

DR = Pilot Rating, so upgrading your pilot also raises your DR. So, technically, the autosofts are limited by DR, but raising the pilot raises that as well, so problem solved.

Chapter IV karma awards are done and will be going out shortly. Spend it now or bank it for the future.

Everyone makes it back to the 3 month reunion. However, it appears that the obelisk did not stay secret for very long.

Blue Team goes to Florida/CAS and then Miami/Caribbean League because Doc wants to "collaborate with" (i.e. hack into) the Johns Hopkins Institute of Health to see what they know about CFD. The JHIH maintains its Caribbean Division headquarters in Miami.

While in the Caribbean League, Blue Team runs into Logos (from Ten Terrorists). Logos is a splinter cell of GreenWar. Per Ten Terrorists:

Quote
The most radical eco-terrorist group in the world, GreenWar believes the only way to restore Mother Earth to her un-ravaged state is to simply eradicate all metahuman life. ... [Logos] is composed primarily of the former Awakened members of GreenWar, or at least its central cadres are. Since its founding, Logos has apparently been hunting for certain magical relics, items imbued with very primal magic. Logos shamans have discovered certain rituals to go along with these relics that can, for lack of better terms, activate Mother Nature’s immune system to fight of the human virus that infects it.

Logos figures that the obelisk is a good way to "kill the metahuman to save the man". If metahumanity is destroying Mother Earth, then we'd all be better off shuffling off our mortal coils. Obviously something went wrong with Blue Team, since Chino, Doc, and Ohanzee are all still walking around, but that doesn't mean Logos wouldn't love to perform hours of painful experiments on you to try to reverse engineer whatever the obelisk did. Blue Team has to defend themselves from a lot of crazies.

Red Team goes north to the Sioux Nation, first through Cheyenne then west through Butte on the way to the Salish-Shidhe Council so that Sam can practice his Infectedness in the mountains away from metahumans. I bought the Cheyenne and Butte PDFs during the recent half-off sale but haven't read them yet so I can't tell you what adventures they've had yet.

You might all be interested to know that I've got a skype/roll20 group together that will be going through Tabula Rasa in a real time setting. If you're curious to see how another group plays through this campaign, I'll post summaries here.

Oh, I'd be VERY interested. It'll be like watching a reboot of an old, well loved franchise. I'm curious as to how the characters grow - the paths not taken, as it were.

Love to see that!  Thanks Ryo!  Especially seeing when they learn the B and Hack are psychos. I feel I couldn't play that well and chose to have the personality calmer. But someone else could probably do a better job with that.

Cool, nice to see there's interest.

A bunch of new source books have come out, plus I've lost most of the original sheets, so I am rebuilding each character from scratch and there will be differences from what was in Tabula Rasa. But should be fairly close overall.

Ryo, I have the original sheets that you PM'd to me if those are of any help. They don't have equipment listed but that might be available from the first pages of the Chapter I OOC thread.

I've been wondering what this game would be like live instead of PbP. You'd be filling out your sheet on-the-fly, much faster than we did. I imagine that within an hour you'd have a good idea of who your character was and what their role would be.

Ryo, how are you planning on handling the private messages? For example, the diagnostics report for the Human, or the video recording for the Crumpled Man, or the exchange of messages between the Troll and the Johnson, or the fact that the Masked Woman has thermographic vision and is dual-natured?

I did manage to find those PMs in my outbox and have been referencing them for some things, but I also want to incorporate a lot of the new that has been released since I first did Tabula Rasa. Run Faster wasn't even out yet when I first started this campaign, after all, so some changes are happening simply because Amnesia is only worth 8 karma instead of 15. I've been looking through Chrome Flesh and they have SO MUCH stuff for BTL addiction and what have you that is right up The Orc's alley, as another example.

If I were at an actual table, I would handle those messages by passing notes to the players. With roll20 and skype, I plan to have individual IM windows open for each player that I'll put that info in as it comes up.

This sounds like so much damn fun.

1- Any plans to record or stream for a small but appreciative audience?
2- Once this is done, and you're considering the next one, is there any chance I can convince you to holler at a mug?
3- Were you happy/satisfied/entertained with the way we ended up finishing the game in your absence?

1. I actually have no idea how recording/streaming would work. Might look into that.
2. Sure, if you've got the right time zone schedule to make it feasible.
3. You guys did an admirable job, the only downsides I see are inherent to the play by post format. Namely the fact it took over a year to do in PbP what could have been achieved in about a month at weekly real time sessions. I also feel like there was surprisingly little interaction and interplay between the players, which I also blame on PbP. At a table, there's plenty of opportunity to converse and play off each other, but little time to focus on yourself. Play by Post is the opposite, offering plenty of opportunity for introspection and soliloquy, but not much interaction with other characters.

So, first game session is scheduled for tomorrow. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

On an unrelated note, did any of you guys notice that the Masked Woman's fake SIN was a pun? Looking back over everything, I don't think I ever saw anyone pointing it out.
