Hey guys these characters are for a rather 'unorthodox' campaign i am participating in over skype. It is unorthodox in that it is not a group rp. It is a skype campaign were me and my friend [in austria] are playing in the others campaigns doing a run then switiching seats. Mine takes place in seattle and he wanted his to take place in his hometown of Vienna Austria.
That being said.
We tend to make numerous exceptions for each other. The campaigns havent crossed due to being on different continents . . . . though there are a few potential bridge characters.
Im looking for advice on how to flesh out an AUSTRIAN character. He REALLY likes that his town is actually a kind of big thing in shadowrun [it has lore events of importance im told] im the more experienced of gms [i literally taught him] but i want to make sure he has as much fun running for me as he does playing in mine.
Neither of the two characters im looking for advice on have bought lifestyles. My 'Main' character Fritz is a troll vagabound who mostly does shadowrunning with some paranormal investigator gigs. He is 19 years of age and has a contact of a police desk sergant, he is in good standing with the police. He has a motorcycle and no sin . . . . and no fake sins. Him living day to day this way is roleplayed [and paid for] hence no lifestyle package.
He could be rather quickly summarized as a troll street shaman/tank. With modest sorcery skills and some ability in the other forms of magic [not adept]. His street upbrining made him a generalist. He has 5 charisma and 7 in body and strength. More character details along with more stats can be given upon request.
His partner 'Raven' is a graceful elven daughter of two corporate ceo's [or equivilant] at Saeder Krupp. Her dad is the vienna branch R&D head [weapons?] and her mother is the Public Relations head. This character is the real odd ball in that she IS NOT a shadowrunner. She is designed to compliment Fritz with paranormal investigations. She has a full corporate sin [hindrance and all] . . . . this will likely become a plot point knowing my friend. While Fritz is being played she has been okayed but not introduced so nothing is set in stone.
She has the 'Friends in high places' perk and i am having trouble with. I want to be true to Saeder krupp so no tier tangerine [tired tamborine? the one near seattle]. Im not super well versed in inter corporate politics. I hear they have good dealings with NAN tribes [mom brings her about the world]. I personally like Ares Macro but if Saeder doesnt then she doesnt. Since she has two sets of contacts i have quite alot of fleshing out to do [we flesh out our own contaccts gm okays them maybe]. Big kicker she has *9* charisma. Goes without saying she is the popular one at school.
To quickly summarize [sort of] she is a talented magician of high corporate heritage with well developed magical ability for her age [16] she knows ten spells picked for her future at Saeder Krupp [4 combat, 3 detection, 1 health, 2 illusion] One of her hobbies is shooting competitions [pistols] with an interest in trick shots. She has survived several extraction attempts [abroad never in viena]. While she has befriended a few shadowrunners she is rather scared of them and will actively avoid combat whenever practical.
Im having trouble finding a good pistol for her to use. This may sound odd but i gave her E priority for resources. She hasnt bought a lifestyle because well she stays with her parents. So I am genuinely trying to stay within the 6,000 limit this represents what her parents let her have at her disposal. She is 'working her way up through the calibers' so light pistols for now, particularly focused on accuracy and not super high avail rating [6r would be a stretch] im not sure what saeder krupp makes but any pistol she would OWN would be her competiton pistol not to say she wont rent and try out all kinds. More 'Saeder German' the better and i dont know which brands that would be.
She gets around on her mountain bike and via trains. She is allowed to travel to different countries via train. Though likely with an escort discreet or otherwise.
I have not fleshed out her gear other than armored clothes [conservative school uniform not fetishy] with bio moniter, Mountain bike, and decent but not super decadent commlink. We agreed that any licencing fees Saeder Krupp would have paid for ie magic licence and licenced spells. Input would be wonderful. She doesn not drive.
I am still debating on wether or not to make her urban shaman or christian theurgist. Advice on both would be nice
Im American and honestly dont know much about the German and European setting so any help would be nice.
