Slobbertooth reached out to grab the HK Urban combat and then jerked his hand back. "You know what, why don't we make sure there isn't another surprise waiting to blow up."

There were no more mines or other  "surprises" in the room. The commlink to the station was missing, but bnc discerned that it was most likely one of those new EvoTech Himitsu things with the integrated sleaze module.
The charging station was last used 24 hours ago and showed that the owner was the fake SIN Scary Spice had used to stay in the city.

The rubber duck squeaked sadly as bnc grabbed it. The plastic felt sticky and warm and smelled faintly of plasticizers.

Beside two more magazines for the sniper rifle and an armored bag with which the hardware must have been brought in, the team found nothing else of interest.

The little plastic containers proved to contain drugs of one family: Laes. There was enough of the stuff to wipe a whole crowd of people's memories.

Slobbertooth looked at the Laes and stammered for a bit. "So, um... hm..."

"Hey, bnc, no real specific reason here, but how much does a pound of Laes go for on the open market these days?"

"Also, anyone got a radio wave sensor?"

"Don't even think about it Slob.That shit may come in handy.We should keep it"

Slobbertooth frowned. "First of all, boo." Slobbertooth tried to chuckle, but ended up just clutching at his stomach.

"Second of all, seriously does anyone have a radiowave scanner? I'd like to check for transmitting RFID tags."

bnc did not see any RFID devices on Scary Spices' stuff and a short search for hidden icons didn't reveal any.

But the elevator had activated and it would be only seconds before they got company and someone would see the dozens of flechette needles embedded in the corridor wall opposite the room.

Slobbertooth heard the dings that signaled the elevator approaching their floor. Slobbertooth stuffed the HK Urban combat and the 4 clips of APDS under his jacket, tossed the Crocket EBR to Torrent, pocketed the little black book, put the box of Laes under his arm, and handed the hand-me-down armor jacket and cameleon suit to bnc.

"Time to buzz"

bnc's answer is short, she's focussed on the situation. "Later. Let's move"
Without any further hesitation, she stuffs the station and the duck in her pocket, throws the suit over her shoulder, draws her weapon and follows behind Slobbertooth.

Stacked with loot, the team made a quick exit to the stairs. The door closed behind Torrent just as the elevator door opened.
Getting out of the bordell was easier than expected: The mark Torrent had received also indicated a discreet exit, that the runner residents could use.
They found themselves in a dark back alley, that reeked of urin and other, even less pleasent smells but granted quick access to a nearby parking garage.

Krestov had meanwhile found a nice all-night cafe with a nice secluded spot to meet up again.

This brings back memories. This place smells like where me and K used to play sportsball with the other kids

Slobbertooth did his best to hustle outside to their vehicle with the others, still dealing with the pain of the flechette needles that impacted on his chest. It made it surprisingly difficult to breathe at times.

"Well, that went pretty well, don't you think? Who's driving?"

"I am. Are you fine? Do you need treatment?
"We should meet with Krestov seen. He has some interesting things to say. From there, we can rethink our position and plan our next step."

bnc activates the interface for the car and moves the vehicle to the place Krestov indicated.

Slobbertooth chuckled with some weezing, "Don't worry buttercup, Ii's not the first time that I've been on the wrong end of flechette rounds. Just give me a little bit and let Krestov take the next hit."

Slobbertooth pulls the little black book out of his pocket as he gets into the car and tosses it over to Torrent. "See if you can make anything out of this."

Torrent opened the book and started reading.

The book contained a somewhat convoluted collection of comm-codes marked with initials. A bit of crossreferencing later revealed that Scary Spice had contacts to all major crime syndicates in Seattle.
Vory, Italian Mafia, Irish Mafia, Triads, Yakuza and Mexican drug pushers were listed.

Even more interesting were his contacts to fences and black market sources. Those had little annotations, listing if the relations were currently positive, what volume they could process and how likely a betrayal was.

One fence had recently received a status change: Lung Feng, owner of a series of cheap china restaurants had been downgraded from "reliable" to "double faced s.o.b."

The only other recent addition was an entry under the number of a shadow clinic: "Appointment on 7/7 10.00h. Check up for Synaptic Booster and Bone Strengthening!!! 3 year guarantee for bioware is running out!"

While he read, the team had reached the cafe and where shortly thereafter reunited with Krestov.
