The old ork perked up. "Damn. I's knew them fuckers in 'ong Kong would cause us grief about that. So they's got a double of Scary? That's good news - in theory. Means they's wanna interrogate 'im at their leisure. No idea why they's killed the double. Crazy fuckers, the lot o' them. Any idea who's would be the local contact of them Triads?"

bnc pours a bit of ammonia into the blood sample, then washes it down the sewers. "This is to make it impossible to use it either for blood mage or for identification or basically for anything else I could think of using blood for. I doubt even a mosquito could do anything with your blood now.
The test is negative."
She turns to the Sunkid.

"Yes, we do, but I'm not sure you'd wanna know so many details so soon. Someone got drugged by those buggers, and we try to narrow down who could be involved. Anyway, it wasn't you."

"So, boys... I think we all know what the next station's gonna be, don't we?"

"Off to speak with some Triads we go, we go."

"Anyone here speak Cantonese or Mandarin?"

The old ork perked up. "No idea why they's killed the double."

Krestov gave a sigh, nodding his head at this.  "Throw off scent.  Friends not look for dead man."  Shrugging, he turned to the others.  "This was enlightening, and gives us direction.  Thank you, Sunkid."

"I speak not.  Lung Feng seems likely lead now.  Unless Torrent new girlfriend have something?  Not sure, but with Spice likely alive, time now important"

"Maybe we should find out a bit about our enemy before we face him. They're Awakened, so it would be wise to know which kind of spells they use. Depending on this, we should choose who and how to face him. If, for example, they use mind manipulation, I'm close to immune to them. If they, on the other hands, prefer fireballs or stuff like that, Krestov would be the man to go.

You might, of course, apply a negative dice pool modifier which would cost me some hits. If the results are promising, however, I'd dig a bit deeper. If you categorize the information as "Limited Interest or Not Publicized", I'd find it within half an hour with this roll.

The matrix search was quite enlightening, now that bnc knew what to look for:
The Seattle Triads had extensive ties to Wuxing - but unlike the Yakuza and their japano corp they still were separate entities.
With the information so far gathered, bnc could pin-point who the mages were that visited the bordello after them: Yini and Yan, brother and sister twins following the Wuxing-tradition. Yini specializes in brutal force - fireballs, barriers, levitation and other overt displays of power. Her brother completes her with subtle spells like mind reading, mind control, illusions and other tricks.
Both work as enforcers for the Triads but are given considerable autonomy.
There is no direct connection to be found between them and Lung Feng, but have been recorded as visiting a certain park from time to time. The Da-Sho park lies on top of a market plaza downtown (B territory).

While looking for contact details, bnc stumbles on a wanted notice from the two mages: They are looking for a certain Japanese fox shapeshifter. The bounty is a considerable 75.000 NY - only alive.

bnc shares the information with the team once they are alone and in a safe location.

"That's interesting to know. I think I could handle Yan for quite a time. I have never really encountered a mage, but from my studies I can extrapolate that it should be rather difficult to control a mind like mine ... not even I don't really understand it, so how should someone else be able to control it?
"That said, Krestov and Slobbertooth should be able to deal with Yini. Most of those spells directly manipulate the physical world - and can thus be countered with physical strength. Of which you have more than plenty, eight-six-eight-two."
She smirks, then moves on.

"Do you think it's worth hunting down this shapeshifter? He might know something, but then, it's only our job to find Scary Spice and not to fight the whole triad. We might just as well try and encounter on of the mages and have a little chit-chat with them."

[Sabato Kuroi]

"Sorry kid, but even if you can handle a manipulation spell you sure as hell can't handle a punch in the face or a bullet in the gut. You should stay away from those mages, or have one of us watch your back. I could mask my presence in the astral space and sneak up on them, but there is a good  chance they will be using quickened detection spells. We should find a way to separate them."

Slob looked over to Krestov. "Hey big guy, think you could put on your best smile and best set of clothes and see if you can distract one of those mages?"

Krestov blinked, looking over at Slobbertooth briefly before giving a nod.  "Da.  Think have suit in kit in back of van.  We going get, will need change quickly.  Assuming you wanting me distracting Yini, Da?  Will follow Slobbertooth plan."

[SquirrelDude]

Slobbertooth shrugged, "Whichever one you think will fall for your wiley charms, big boy."

"I'm going to go count ammo and refill some magazines."

"So, what am I s'posed to do? Chillax?"

"I'd bet that this establishment will have cameras and MAD Scanners that we'll need to get past."
