Your storytelling never was floppy. You know what, let's blame it on the medium! It's really difficult to focus on all the details if you receive them split up over weeks and have a real life. Thanks for the hint! :)

Sorry if that was unclear:
The booted foot protruded from the SUV. The car you hacked is not in the picture and doesn't belong to Scary Spice.

So we can be positive that SS was in the SUV. We do not know whether the second person was in the car, too. So we have no idea whether they came her together or no.

You are still missing one part of the puzzle - not all described locations have been searched for clues ;)

No, I mean there is still a location at the stuffer shack you haven't looked at http://forums.shadowruntabletop.com/index.php?topic=21044.msg390295#msg390295 ;D

Also no, there are a lot of cars near Lung Feng's but at least according to their Icons they don't match the model of the SUV (But of course, if someone can suppress matrix traffic, he might also have invested in spoof chips... ;) )

I totally haven't been distracted by Shadowrun Hong Kong, I promise.

I'd prefer that excuse.  Nope, just work and RL busyness.  Having to balance my available time across pbp commitments.

How is that?   Improved from Dragonfall any?

For context, played Returns as an Orc Adept, Dragofall as a Troll Street Sam, and I'm playing Hong Kong as a Dwarf Mage.

Hong Kong pros:
 - You get a better feel for Hong Kong the city than you did Berlin.
 - Some strong characters (Everyone is going to talk about Gaichu, but I really like Duncan)
 - Better mission variety, and they have some fun twists and turns too. You run into Opti and Bull's crew on a run for crying out loud.
 - The Matrix is much much better. It's not just a Tron dungeon anymore, and it now boasts some stealth mechanics.

Overall it's a refinement on the previous game in most any way. Still gorgeous. Still fun. I'm really enjoying my time with the game.

Some cons.
 - Arguably not enough improvement on the engine (some long load times/area pop in after exploration
 - Little things from the previous games need to be ironed out (spells don't rhave out of combat utility, decking is still a 1 person job).
 - Stealth mechanics (both Matrix and meatspace) need some more refinement. Stealth games are built around the ability to see what's around the next corner, and this game just doesn't have that mechanic in place. They should also probably be turn based.
 - The game gets a little glitchy near the end. Certain conversation trees don't seem to open up the way that they should, and there are weird pauses. Nothing gamebreaking, and something I expect to see patched before my second run through.

Largest con.
The biggest issue I have with Hong Kong is one that was present in Dragonfall. Far too many missions don't have any direct relationship to the plot in any explained way. You are working for your fixer who is working to get the information information you want (with the money you earn, I guess?), but it mostly feels like you are doing non-sequitur runs (enjoyable ones) to bide time until you can get to your story.

I'd recommend it. The problems are the kind that are small and bother you over a long experience, but aren't strong enough to drag down all the positives.

Hong Kong is really good but I think Dragonfall gets my vote for the best of the trilogy.

Anyway, Racter is probably the best party member  I've encountered in a SR PC game

I'd say so too, but I haven't finished Hong Kong yet (But it definitely influenced this story ;) )

The new matrix mini games aren't entirely to my liking (even less than before)

I think something like Invisible Inc would have been a bit better, but I don't mind the minigames.

I will agree that it doesn't quite hold up to the Dragonfall Director's Cut. I think Hong Kong can get there when the mini campaign and some patches come out, though.

I just completed the game. Well I got through the main story, and did as many side quests as I could. I think that some of my conversation trees were bugged because they didn't seem to progress anywhere and just had me repeat the same dialogue over and over again with the Heoi. I think the final boss battle was a bit better done in Hong Kong than in Dragonfall.

No, seriously. Spoilers.
It also heavily rewarded talking to NPCs in your party and around town. If you know enough about Yama Kings going into the fight, and have enough testicular to threaten destroying the entire walled city to stop that bitch, you can force the Queen of a Thousand Teeth to concede her defeat and walk back into the Astral Plane with nothing.

It's incredible how satisfying that is.

Also Petrify is a great spell to have on hand in the final fight(s) once you make the queen vulnerable. I did the final run with Gaichu, Gobbet, and Is0bel. Is0bel did better than expected, but you probably don't need a decker on your final run into the walled city
So, I beat it with my Dwarf Hermetic Mage/Face, and I'm wondering what I should play for my second run through. Any suggestions?

So are the  Yama Kings some kind of Horrors or what?
