Hey all.

I am unclear about how the electronic warfare specializations (communication, jamming, encryption, senors) apply to matrix actions using electronic warfare, particular hide, snoop, and control device. I am guessing encryption is hide, communication is snoop and control device, but I am not sure.

Any answers, or is it GM dependent?

I would allow users to specialize in Matrix Actions as the listed specialities are just suggestions and not an exhausted list.
If Tom Brady’s a Spike Baby, what does that make Brees and Rodgers?

There's actually not many rolls for EW.

There's using your Deck as a Jammer, which would fall under the Jamming specialization... or just use a real Jammer and not even need to roll.

There's using it as part of a sensors check... or just use your Perception...

Then there's using it for Control Device which is so varied it doesn't really fall under any specialization.

There is a few others.
Check Overwatch Score
Hide
Jump into Rigged Device
Snoop
Concepts are great, but implementation sucks. Why not improve it?

Yeah and the hide and control device seem important, particularly the hide. Hence the question

What is written there is only examples of specializations. You can make up any specialization you want, as long as it passes through the GM of course. Encryption would probably be the closest one with Hide from what is written.
