Hello again!
asking some advice on horse play.
 
once again my player keep looking for petting an awakened horse, so I got him a normal one.
 
with a contact of 'Bob the Breeder' he now got his new transportation, Horse 'Butt Stallion',  and he asking me for buying his horse some protection.
 
How much should I charge him for the horse's customize armor?
and in other way
His crazy about 'medieval theme' is outstanding, he want his 'Full body armor' to looks like a plate armor. How much should it cost to order a fully appearance customized?
(Yes he love wearing chain mail that he found in Run & Guns and now he want to finish his desire)
 
and by the way, Are there any ways he can find an awakening horse to tame? or his Butt Stallion can possibly awaken someday?

Generally speaking, when an animal awakens, it gets a brand new name, and usually some nifty abilities....

Like the awakened chicken, that turns people to stone... (aka the cockitrace)
Or the fire breathing dog (hell hound)
Or the acid dripping dog (cerebrus hound)



The only awakened horse I know of is the Nightmare.... but he doesn't want that trust me. The nightmare instills a compulsion into its victums to ride it, where it gets stuck in a natural adhiesive on its back... the Nightmare then swims out to sea, drowning its rider, and eats him. (Yep. The Nightmare is a man eating, swimming horse!)

As for barding.... yea.... NO idea at all. Depending on the armor (what he wants it made out of, to look like, etc) easily 10,000 to 150,000.
Remember, the you're not running down to the corner store to buy this stuff, it has to be custom fitted and crafted.

It did a quick internet search and found a couple of sites.... one offered "decorative leather barding- head, chest, rump" for $750us. 60 days to make.... and would protect shit all. (It was a few straps of leather that covered the chest, head, rump, covering about 15% of the animal while leaving huge (12 to 20 inch) gaps everywhere! (Making it basically equal to you wearing oven mits and calling it full body armor!)

Seriously, the stuff wouldn't stop any weapon from hurting the horse! But it was pretty!

Hmmm...about Nightmare you mentioned giving me an idea,
Does that mean it could awakened to any mythical Horse-like critters? such as Unicorn Kelpi or Sleipnir. 
 
It could be fun to find a place to put these in.
I'll need some thought on the attribute then.

The 4e book "Running Wild" is a good place to start. It covers all the awakened and normal critters of SR. (But is in no means complete)

That should give you a starting point.

How much should I charge him for the horse's customize armor?

If it's ordinary barding, you're looking at $350+ for a formed leather chamfron - that's the faceplate, and JUST the faceplate.  The trappers (heraldric covers) that'll fit a horse run $1000+, and can be 'considerably plus'.  Depending on what you're using, I'd say a minimum of ¥10,000 for formed leather, and go up-up-up for metal, kevlar-reinforced metal, etc.

A pittance - call it 10% over and be done.  But of course, people stomping around in full body armor, plate mail or otherwise, are going to call attention to themselves - bad.  Some idiot riding around in plate male on an armored horse in the middle of Seattle is going to get pulled over by the cops (KE or Lone Star, whatever) and wind up in County for a three-night psych eval, y'know?  Does he really want that?

There are a number of awakened horses; the bayard, for example, is very fast as well as able to be ridden (and presumably tamed), but they have the ability to turn into mist, so you want to watch for that.  They're also indigenous to France and other places in Europe, so getting one in Seattle might be ... problematic.

I personally wouldn't have it Awaken; at this point, if it was going to be a metaspecies, it'd've been born that way.
