Athos sighs over the wasted money and sends a note to Dave.  >>Dave.  Athos again.  Apparently I need the head jammer after all.  The other is still unopened and in the box so can I return it?  I will understand if you say no or only give partial credit refunds.  Please send the other jammer to the same location.<<

and about an hour later you have the head jammer. Time to remove the head and indeed you find that the head jammer is strong enough to block the signal. So that you can hang around town with your creepy package. Just don't be stopped by the cops.

Athos unpacks the head jammer and says, "OK.  Let's pull that up and get this on the head."

Once the head is up and the jammer on and turned on, Athos heads the boat back to where they are supposed to leave it.  He points to the waiting van and looks at Sovereign.  "You willing to use a more normal mode of transport?"  Looking over so as to include Kynos and Yulia, he adds.  "So you three got any advice on where we should take this thing?"

"Best bet would be Jack and Nagisa," I answer quickly.  "Between the two of them, I bet they'll know everything there is to know about this thing and they can also keep it from being detected better than we can out here."  I pause to think just a moment about M and add, "although we have to make sure we're not traced there or someone I know there will have MY head on a platter."

Maxwell eyes the severed head and partially admires the brutal handiwork.  Turning slightly to face the troll.  "Sure it'd be less suspicious that way.  Let me take a look at the astral around the head and see if anything pops out or is especially unusual."  Turning back to the head he focuses his gaze around it and shifts perception to see if an astral signature or anything similar has been left behind.

Athos nods and holds out the head for Sovereign to examine as he looks over to Minnie.  "That would be bad indeed, Yulia.  Can you contact them and explain what we have done and ask if it is OK to come in?"

"Sure," I say as I pull out my loaned comm and call Jack who had given me a number to call if I had any issues with the device.  I explain the sitch to him and ask if we can bring the head in for examination.  And if so, how should we come with it.

@Maxwell - You can sense a bit of the emotion that led to this decapitation. He was not afraid, it is minute after all that time but there are traces of lust on the head. You can never be sure if this lust is the victims lust or the killer tough.

@Minnie Jack say >> do not bring him here, bring him to that location. It is a small shadow hardware lab. I'll come by later over the matrix to examine it after they did their thing.

I take the info from Jack, not exactly surprised that they don;t want to risk it at the main base.  "I've got a place we should take it," I chime up and give the location.

"Fearlessness.  Battle hunger.  Bloodlust.  A man after my own heart it seems."  Maxwell shakes his head and shrugs before speaking to the others.  "Nothing particularly strange other than the killer wasn't afraid and he was bloodthirsty.  But I imagine you guys already knew that.  I can try to astral project and look around but that might be more of a waste of time if anything."  Upon hearing the girl speak he adds to that.  "I'm game for whatever."

Athos nods as Yulia and Sovereign explain the situation.  "Perhaps off to this lab first, then.  The small boat is almost back to the dock area when he comms the boat guy to tell him they are done and that the boat is back where they started.  A short time later they are all in the van and travelling to the coordinates given by this Jack friend of Minnie's.  On arrival, Athos looks the place over before heading in and looking about to get some help.  If someone comes up, he will inform the person that Jack sent them over with a package that needs looking at.

@All the van takes you to what appears to be nothing. There was a building there, but it long collapsed. Yet the GPS coordinates all seem right, but can it be? the only option is troll-hole in the ground that unlike the rest of the floor space seems to be suspiciously free of junk.

Maxwell steps out of the van to look at the ruin and rubble.  He scowls at the suspicious scene and the out of place hole in the ground.  "So who wants to go in first?"
