Maxwell could feel his commlink buzzing but he wasn't in a good position to reach into his pocket and check it.  The whole hands bound thing and being captured somewhat hindered him in that regard.  If all went smooth then whatever trickery he's currently being subjugated to would end after a nights worth of interrogation.  Though Maxwell feels that would be wishful thinking.  He does have one more dark idea to torment Venom with however.

Maxwell contacts his servant.  "My last service for you Mortality is to see if you can find Venom and give him an omen to think about.  Let him know that my reach is long and my will is unyielding."

Athos looks at Luna.  "Looks like we might be stuck on the island for the night.  With this crowd it might be hard to get one room, much less two.  Are you up to sharing?"

@Maxwell you are brought into a small office and a tough looking human in his 50's introduces himself "I am Sergey, and you are going to tell me who you really are. Then you are going to tell me anything you know about that Dang Gi guy that allegedly blew up half the city." Somthing about his conviction and the way he looks at you makes it easy to be afraid of him. You are worried to ask what if you are not going to tell him.

Maxwell sizes the man up and doesn't even bother trying to weave a convincing lie.  He had just healed his wounds, he'd like to not re-damage them.  Reluctantly he says.  "My name is Maxwell Rhodes and i'm an awakened mercenary.  There isn't a whole lot that I know about Venom, er uh GI... but i'll tell you what I know.  He's an ork Yakuza lieutenant from japan who got shipped off here because his family didn't like the idea of having a trog there.  Unfortunately during his time here in Seattle he met up with a vampire named Damian Grail.  Venom the idealistic moron that he is, fell in love with Grail's bullshit about vampires and infected ruling the city and equality for everyone.  Between the two of them they pulled resources and conspired to cause the mass panic and destruction that's happening right now.  Hope that satisfies your curiosity."

Maxwell looks off to the side slightly trying to hide his embarrassment.  "Well... it was an accident to be honest.  I tried to capture Venom but he ran off before I could do much.  I grabbed his clothes by mistake when I was in the maze.  Thought they were mine, but it was dark and didn't know they weren't until it was too late."

Maxwell sighs.  "That's difficult to say really.  I'm contracted under several people to do many things.  I have one contract to kill Venom, one to send him back home, one to rescue a hostage kidnapped by Grail, and I guess the bounty to put an end to Grail's life.  The pay varies as well, but i'm being paid a handsome amount to kill Venom in particular.  25,000Y to be precise."

@Maxwell Sergey nods "So I established that you are  criminal in UCAS, it remains to be seen what should the Council should do about you. I am not here to disscuss your UCAS crimes, you are in Council lands and I am here to determine only how do you align with Council interests.

You alredy admitted to accepting a contract to kill 'Venom', who else is working toward that end with you? "

@Athos finding a room is particularly difficult as many diplomats and VIP's are staying, Yulia could probobly get a room with her charm and social skills but as a misunderstood troll you will have to find some other way. It is clear by now that you cannot just go rent a room.
That said, Ambissidor Jones happily preserve the magic that keeps his gardens warm and invite anyone who cannot leave to stay for the night. His mansion that is also an hotel, offers blankets and matrecess for free to all the invited guests.

@Minnie After about two hours you both are exausted and Ci hugs you and becomes dreamy, unless you do anything about it he'll soon fall a sleep embracing you close to his body. You ignored it in the heat of the moment but now it is evident that people are looking for you, there are armed rotor drones in the air and some people with flashlights tht seem to scan the cliffs.  You find it a bit strange that your parthner is peaceful enough to sleep in this atmosphere, but aside for the drones and search parties the view is spectacular and the blend of natural voices, the stars and the city lights from distance is breath taking. If ll the conciul lands are like that it may be fun to take a visit sometime.

@Kynos DemoX say "They haven't found him but he could not have gotten far without his clothes that were found on your friend, too bad he gave them his comlink as we could have used that.  Yulia's glasses are still in the maze. My drones would have probobly picked them up if they tried to leave the island above water level. So assuming they did not attempt some daring dive, they are hiding in the island somewhere.

Their best option is the eagle reserve, the Shamanic witch doctors do not allow metahumans inside - it upsets the Eagle spirits or somthing like that. Therefore, the Conciul is too superstitious to actually go after them.  Atleast they'll have to go through a lot of red tape to do so. From the video you sent me it appears that somebody tried to kill Venom with magic.

He sort of tried to sufficate himself before he run away naked like crazy. There are few people in the city that can pull out a stunt like that and if someone get to these glasses before us your friend is never going to run the shadows again. Either they kill him, or they will make him their own agent, such potent magic is extremely rare and when it is discovered it is typically part of a powerful organization and not independent.

What do you say? Do you like Sovergin enough to try and remove the glasses from the scene before these knuckleheads connect the dots?

Maxwell starts feeling a bout of anxiety over whether he should oust all the people he's worked with over the past few days or to tell the man to slot off.  He looks at the older man with defeat and says.  "I don't know how to answer that.  I may be a criminal mercenary, a murderous thief at worst, but i'm not a traitor and i'd like to not be one.  I don't have many friends or allies in this city, so i'd like to keep the ones I have from harm such as this.  If you're wondering how I align with Council interests then know that I hold no love for Venom or Grail.  I'm also more than willing to help fight the undead that's terrorizing the city."

Kynos shrugged: "I better should. Not much use for me otherwise. Tell your pal, that I'll sneak into the maze to clean up after my fellows. And if you know where they brought Sovereign, I might pay a visit and see if he needs anything - like a file in a cake. But seeing as he is a mind mage, he should be able to make out his own way.
Who knows DemoX, I even might find some grub for you. Tell me when you are ready."

Kynos returned over the bridge to the party for a second time. But this time after he had been patted down, he made a little detour. Splashing a little bourbon on his mouth, stumbled towards the restrooms and bumped purely by accident into one of the many security people, leaving a yellow stain of mustard on the man's lapel. Apologizing profusely, Kynos made an attempt to rub it of with a mustard smeared napkin - making the problem worse. When the guard had finally enough of the helpful drunk, he shoved Kynos away and made his way to the nearest sink to get the stain out himself. Kynos let him, while he cradled the man's taser in his jacket - carefully having turned off the wifi signal.

Than he was off to the maze.

You sneak in the maze and get to the place where Minnie and Venom showed affection. The glases and Minnie's clothes are still there as well as a belt that Maxwell missed, that apperantly had an unorthodox usage this night. Shortly after you arrive on scene you can spot Luna searching the maze as well.  Since you are such a ninja she does not notice you and if you like you can take the glasses (and clothes?) and sneak past her.

There you are left unattended in a room with two chairs and a table with metal hand cuffs cuffing your hands behind your back.
