Sleep didn't come easy, it felt like work.  The conditions weren't exactly conducive to the rest Maxwell needed.  He spent more time struggling to get comfortable than he did resting.  Still, he managed to get a few hours of shut-eye.  Morning came and greeted him with baneful light.  He rose out of the car and stretched his legs a little bit, surveying the grim dawn that is now Seattle.  He takes in a deep breath and then promptly starts hacking up.  The air is filled with fear, despair, gunpowder and piss-flavored beer.  Maxwell grimaces and reaches into his jacket for a cigarette, only to find out that he's out of cigarettes.  He sighs and looks around the car for his stuff, once found he pockets them and leans against the side of the car. 

His arms are crossed as he contemplates past and current events.  "So that insane necromancer uses his puppet to create a distraction while he leads his army from the shadows.  Causing wide-spread terror and death, while also displacing most of the city population.  This proves that nobody is safe and that everything hangs on by a thread.  A thread that Grail knows he can cut whenever he feels like it."

Maxwell shakes his head in angered disappointment.  "Fool girl!  Because of her Blue Vixen remains trapped and tortured, while I remain unpaid and unfulfilled.  All she had to do was not get in the way.  The easiest thing to do in the world.  I'd be tearing Venom's arms and legs off while pouring molten lava down his rib cage right now if not for her.  What makes this worse is that people might think i'm Venom.  As if i'm not under enough scrutiny as it is."

Athos wakes next to Luna, who had actually surprised him by returning to the mattresses.  As he sits, he looks down at her sleeping form and shakes his head.  So much danger in such a small package.  His thoughts of the previous night have coalesced into a decision of some kind.  He stands and moves off into the maze a few feet to use the bushes as a makeshift toilet before returning to the mattresses to make a call.  >>Horse.  It is Athos.  Frag the old order.  We are missing a tremendous opportunity if we are not taking advantage of all this.  We need to take control of our area and show our people that we can protect them.  Get back to me with where I can meet you. We can be the leaders of a new Family.<<

Athos smiles as he sends an acknowledgement, then reaches down and nudges Luna awake.  "Hey, gorgeous. time to rise and shine.  You ready to leave this rock?   My friend will keep tabs on Venom and let me know where they are when she is ready to.  In the meantime, I got a body to steal and a lunch date with an important man."

@Athos it is evident that Luna was not sleeping. She is fully alert and fresh "It seems like you have a busy day... let me know when the deed is done. I have a standing reservation with 'Final Resting' they will burry that poor soul and provide the rituals."


The place is not the same in the morning, the bridge is packed with people trying to cross and on the shores of the island there are multiple boats that made it on shore. The water are decorated with cropses of peole that did not make it and in such a cold water it did not take long before they froze. Luna looks at the packed bridge and decides that her best shot is to try and steal one of the small boats on shore. She quickly leaves toward shore with a confident step.

Athos makes his way onto the bridge, heading for the crowd and sending a quick message to his companions.  >>Hey guys, all of these people trying to get onto the island are going to make it easy for Venom to leave, if he has not already left.  There are lots of small boats on the shore that people used to get to the island and he could just take one and go back to the mainland.  I recommend trusting in Yulia to do her job and find out where he is going.  I have another lead that involves taking a body from a morgue.  Interested?<<

Athos slows as he nears the line of security that is keeping people off the island, looking for someone who seems to be in charge.  He spots what he assumes to be a supervisor and walks up to him.  "Hey bud, you guys are doing a terrific job.  Mr. Andu is sending me off the island to do something for him, so do you think you could let me past?"

@Kynos the Decker texts you a location in the eagle reserve and say that it might be the device you seek but there is no way to be 100 percent sure.

To the rest of the team he said: "Right you received the boss, visiting a morgue sounds like a fun way to start the day. I'd say we hit a stuffer shack for some breakfast beforehand because afterwards we might lose our appetite."

Maxwell turns to the elf with a funny smile.  "The hell are you talking about?"

[Jack_Spade]

"Oh right, you lost your commlink. Well, that's no way to live."
Kynos rummaged some more in his bag and produced a simple burner commlink.
"Here, once activated you'll have service for a week. Nothing fancy, but you'll get text and calls again."
In short words, Kynos explained what Athos just had sent him.

Maxwell fiddles with it slightly before pocketing it.  "The moment I stop using burners and pick up a real comm, I shortly lose it.  Thanks, guess i'll head into a morgue this morning.  Not the most macabre thing i've done.  Or uhhh stop for food first then morgue."

@Athos being a large troll has it's perks one of them is passing through a crowd of mostly smaller metahumans. Nobody wants to stand in your way and people let you leave.

@Minnie it takes a few seconds in the morning to understand where you are. You wake up earliest, with sunrise and for a moment you just feel happy. Then the chill and sight of cropses floating in the water does their thing. The city view is less beutiful in the morning, the city is tormented and many refuges flock to the island, the flow continue people continue to arrive with boats and there is no police force to stop them from crossing that border. If you want to get safely off the island it appears that the general Chaos presented a once in a life time opertunity.

Athos nods, more to himself than anyone else, and sends a note to the others when he gets to the parking lot and his van.  >>Kynos and Sovereign.  I am headed to the New Hilton to pick up a vehicle and driver.  Do you need a lift there?<<

Maxwell fidgets and toys with the burner more than he does reading the message.  He had just gotten used to his Erika Elite, now it's gone.  He scans over the text and thinks a little about it.  "It'd be wiser to split up into two teams of two.  I think at least anyway.  Should give Amy and IT a call while i'm at it."

After he was done texting people, Maxwell made his way over to Athos' van.  Once he finds him he waves at the troll.  "Find out anything useful from Luna?"
