I need to find Gi.

It was my last thought before my head exploded.  Or felt like it exploded at least.

I manage to stay standing...barely.  Through tears and ringing ears I try to reorient myself and find Gi so that I can get him and me out of here before the rotodrones my keen hearing detect arrive.  The last thing I want is for him to show up on the 6 o'clock news...or nearly as bad on a KE viewscreen.

Athos looks at Dona Valentina and nods.  "Yes, Dona.  I am speaking of Strawberry.  I will complete your list and begin building your base for you."  He dabs at his lips with the cloth napkin and waits to see if the conversation is over or if she has other instructions for him.

Kynos watched the grenade fly to its target, sitting astride his bike. While the bulk of attackers stil hadn't moved, he shot another grenade - this time a flash-bang in their midst.

He ducked against the incoming gunfire and told his autopilot to bring him out of sight behind the old church and circle back to Strawberry's position.

With a flash bang going of there was enough clearing to move the bike. Unfortunately, the stupid silly autopilot refuses to speed up due to the road being too crowded. As you curse the stupid autopilot several shots are fired your way. In your mind you feel a familiar presence that tries to subdo you. It is that burning lady that you expelled from your mind previously.

I did it wrong the first time a spirit can only attempt to posses you once - if it fail it cannot try again. (so that is not insanely overpowered) .
You have to doge these shots (remember -1 for each incoming shot).

They fire with heavy pistols - Ares Preditor 8P -1. The goons are not sure who they fear more right now you or Strawberry - she is not 'mentally instructing her to form a perimeter - they are concerned that the mage have lost it but are not brave enough to interfere.

I'll require a drive test if you'd like to actually use the bike to 'escape' rather than have the stupid dog pilot slowly (but safely) navigate the road around the obstacles

Why is there a crowd around my bike? I'm 50m away from burning house + spectators. Or are those gawkers really staying 50 m away from the burning building? That would be a circumference of 314 m. That would mean that at least 600 people had to form an orderly ring around the location

Kynos was ready for the return fire and just ducked lower on his bike.

Kynos took over from the auto pilot, reved up the engine and hit the horn to make his way through the crowd. Pretty inconsiderate of those Yaks to fire into a crowd like that.

@Minnie You finally find Gi, he seem to be running after Strawberry and he keeps his distance.  Gi whispers - "he is going for Strawberry, she is not well  we'll jump him as he attempts to grab her." He then takes position and proceeds with stealth toward the tree. Stealth: 12d6t5 4

@Kynos you maneuver the very angry crowd and manage to get to the church. You can head back between the buildings if you like.

Sorry, I had to check something before I make my piloting test. I really, really don't intent be be captured by a suddenly hostile crowd

Also, how many people are there around? Are the streets full? How packed are the sidewalks and the grounds?

Athos nods and stands as the woman does.  He bows low to her and says, "I swear that I will do this for you, Dona Valentina.  For the Family."  When she and Tony have disappeared, he turns to Horse.  "Can you please contact Bruno and have him meet me in the lobby of the NH with a couple of solid men.  He is to come solo if he cannot find anyone.  You have the code to my current burner.  I will be buying a few more, but will always leave a code for you to use to get me."

He pauses.  "Is it really as bad as she says?  Few soldiers?  Even less support?  Well.  At least there is lots of room to climb to the top."

Kynos had retreated for the moment. All the training he had received half his lifetime ago suddenly became relevant again. The crowd had been attracted and repelled by the fire. Ginger Elf had admitted that everything happening in "her" area affected her.
According to her mental sending the burning of her home had hurt her mentally and emotionally - talking of suicide by cyber elf showed heavy strain. Not that Kynos would have minded to end her - but you didn't win by destroying the keystone if you wanted to get something from a house. Sifting the rubble for the goods - in that case Sovereign was not something he wanted to do.
Instead he'd weaken her a bit more.

He knew the inside of the old church - lots of wood and other old dry flammable things. A smoke grenade would certainly give the impression of another fire. He topped of the grenade launcher with one and fired it through one of the church windows.
Than he sped off to do the same thing to two more buildings.

Athos shakes his head.  "What have we done to ourselves that the Family has allowed this to happen?  I will do what needs to be done.  Please call Bruno and give him my message.  I will head to the NH immediately and will see him there.  He may know where to get a couple of good people.  If not, the two of us will do for a start."

He looks directly at Horse.  "Thank you for giving me this opportunity."

With that, Athos leaves the restaurant and returns to the parking garage to get his van and drive to the NH.  He heads up to his room to gather a few things and then returns to the lobby to wait for Bruno to show up or call.  While sitting in the lobby, he tries to form a plan of action.  Despite what he had said to Horse and Dona Valentina, he feels a bit overwhelmed and unsure of the next step just now.  He is also sure that he will think of something.
