One of the goons whisper "He doesn't look like a dwarf..."  the other one: "But he is sneaking around... it must be her partner." Both goons point their guns at you saying "You are coming with us... if bossman thinks you are cool you can have your night cup"

"That bitch didn't say anything about a dwarf."   Meekly Maxwell speaks: "I assure you I'm just looking for a strong drink but I'll go with you if it puts you at ease."   Maxwell throws his hands up next to his face in an attempt to discourage any unnecessary shooting.

@Sovereign - the goons take you at the point of a gun towards the joke, they do not take you to the bar but to the parking lot behind it. On one of the cars waits a orc with an obvious cyberarm, wearing a black leather jacket and is smoking an expensive cuban cigar.

@Serge, as you slip to the back you notice the Orc, he is talking into a barely dressed elven lady that vanishes as soon as she spot the goons with their ‘prisoner’.

Maxwell's situation just went from bad to worse, a known black mage is going to have a hard time explaining why he's prowling around in the middle of the night.  "I could dust these guys with the help from Inferno but their could always be other mongoloids around."  "My name is uhh...Max and I heard this place serves some decent cocktails."  Maxwell despises the name Max, it's a dogs name.

Venom cries "Strawberry, takes this young gentleman and makes sure his story checks out, don't let him out before he had enough to drink. Let me know if he tries to leave early. We'll rough him out." The scarcely dressed elf reluctantly responds and nod at him. "Sure Venom"
She speaks and her voice is like music in your ears. It is something unusual, perhaps even magical.   Her legs are too long even for an elf and she is almost unnaturally thin and delicate. Almost like a barbie doll. Her red dress does not leave much to the imagination and it is difficult not to be distracted by her outfit.   "It seems like you are my prisoner tonight, my Name is Strawberry. Nice to meet you Max." She smiles at you and giggles. "Lets go drinking" she say.

"Venom, he's that goon boss what's-her-name mentioned working with the yaks."  Maxwell looks over and faces the elven woman Strawberry.  Noticing her striking looks and dress made Maxwell uncomfortable yet interested at the same time.  "What's a minx like her doing with a gang leader?"  Considering the way she looks she'd be better off in some high town club.  "Hope that street doc can make use of my impromptu party, if he hasn't left me here already." Maxwell thought grimly.  Deciding to go with the flow Maxwell says coolly:"Love to."

@Sovereign-  Strawberry grabs your hand and leads you to the club. It is a  small one, filled with Yaks at gang colors but not only Yaks all kind of people enjoy the Joke. Strawberry seems like the most attractive woman in that club, perhaps a grade higher than the rest of the folk. There is live Jazz music and Strawberry keeps the conversation pleasant and your glass always full.

You already feel the alcohol affecting you and perhaps something stronger than the alcohol (but you can not be sure as she is a very attractive woman) when she places her hand on your thigh and softly say “You did not come to my club for drinks did you? I never saw you in here before.”

@Serge - As you start searching the vegetation behind the club you notice a wet puddle. It hasn't rained lately, carefully touching the puddle you are certain that it is blood. You cannot see her, but you are certain that the lady you seek is somewhere on that tree.

Maxwell's vision starts to blur and his head is swimming in intoxicants.  Trying to sluggishly remember his golden rule about women wasn't easy but he finally remembers: "Girls will never show interest in you unless they want something."  Coming up with the best way to answer her without giving himself away Maxwell speaks:  "I didn't know it was your club."  "Would've come here sooner if I've known you were here."

Instead she turns her head last minute and whispers "This is okay, I hate that Venom scum, you can trust me."

Things were going faster than Maxwell had anticipated.  Moments ago you were outside sneaking around with that street doc.  And before that you remember being contacted by Joe to help some mage deal with yakuza or something.  Now I'm being corralled into what's most likely a trap while being no closer to my goal.  "Did I just offer to whack someone for sex!"   "The Black Knight is probably just shaking his head at me in disappointment."  While rethinking the situation and his blunders Maxwell says: "It'd be my pleasure."  Hopefully this won't end in blood and fire as Maxwell originally wanted.

Strawberry takes your hand and lead you to the private rooms at the second floor. There is not much in there really a bed, a window and a private shower/bath. “I’ll be right back, make yourself comfortable.” she smiles as you and enter the bathroom, she is there fore a short while.  You can still hear the humming of water even as she exit the room. She must have left them open.    She tell you. “So tell me, Max... do you always kill on your  first date? ”

"I can't believe I fucking said that and its not like I can take it back now."  Maxwell did his best to search the room for anything pertinent to the mission.  "Wait a minute, what if she's a mage as well?"  For some reason it never dawned on Maxwell that he might be dealing with another mage.  It all started to make sense now.  Scantly dressed and hits on a stranger.  Good looks that stand out even in a crowd.  Night deals with gangers.  "A Black Mage."  Maxwell felt genuine distress over the realization that Strawberry might be another Black Mage.  With only one way to find out he has to switch to his third eye to see if she lights up like a beacon.  Meanwhile Maxwell tries to come up with some conversation to keep her entertained: "Oh you know only when the mood feels right...and when I see pretty girl I like."

@Sovereign You are skilled enough to assense Strawberry despite your physical condition.  Strawberry is clearly awakened. Her general emotional state is calm and she seem happy and is genuinely enjoying herself.  Her aura seems complete, you spot no cyberware or any kind of augmentation on her aura. You will definitely be able to recognise her aura should you assense her in the future.

Once you finally assense her you can sense how her aura fills with joy - apperantly she was astrally sensing you for a while now.

Strawberry pushes herself close to you, her delicate body is meshed up to yours and she gently pushes you to the bed.  Her astral aura is telling a completely different story and you find difficult to contain both the physical sensation of and the direct -all business-  of her words in the astral world.

“I saved your life three times tonight... you owe me one heck of a favor.” She say, and you can feel her hands exploring, your body.

“I figured out what you wanted back when you were sneaking on the road. An awakened sneaking past goons shortly after the ‘incident’... This cannot be coincidence.  If I haven’t kept my mouth shut you’d been shot at sight.

Second, I suggested to that asshole Venom that soft tactics will work better on you and you see I have my way with words. Otherwise they would have roughed you out just out of habit. They wouldn’t even care if their suspicion is justified or not.

Third, I masked your very stupid suggestion to kill a senior Yak for me in a room full of Yaks by quickly defusing the situation and taking you here with me before you kept talking about how you are going to kill him.

The thing is, despite where you feel my lips right now and what my hands are doing to you... I am not going to sleep with you tonight... There is something I want you to do for me. ”

@Strawberry - Being assaulted with a mass of colors and shapes from the astral, the alcohol you imbibed you earlier, and Strawberry's touch.  Maxwell could barely comprehend the information that was being overloaded into his brain.  You desperately try to switch perception back to earth.  "What do you mean you saved my life three times before?"  "Is she trying to trick me?"  "Was I really spotted that easily?"  Wracking his mind to come up with a plan to spin the situation back into his favor.  "Hold on, I never outright said I was going to kill anyone."  "And this place looks popular enough that anyone would want to come here to relax for a bit."  "Lastly I don't think she knows my true power."  Remembering the Elemental that Papa Midnight helped Maxwell bind for his effort with that lynch mob, renewed Maxwell's confidence.  "But I don't know hers either."  After considering all of this Maxwell finally retorts: Firstly you never saved my life at all or three times for that matter."  "Secondly even the awakened crave alcohol and a impromptu pub crawl at night is nothing unusual."   Thirdly even if those thugs outside were going to harm me, I would've just slipped away before they could."  "Lastly I never said I was going to kill Venom or anyone for that matter."  "It was merely a joke between adults."  "So all of this was just a misunderstanding, but I'd like to hear your task anyway."  Pretty much all of that was bullshit, but if it works Maxwell might be able to finish the run without incurring the ire of the Yakuza.  "Then again bullshit got me into this mess, maybe this will just make it worse."
