Hi chummers,

I'm a GM of a campaign in Seattle and there are a PC who are a member of Laèsa, somebody knows something more than it the "forgotten" and the new rape drug called laes.
Cause vice is an entire book of the complete mafias and crime syndicates and it doesn't have Laèsa....

Thanks a lot

Laésa can be found at ... I forget.

Heh

Actually there is a small write up on them in the 10 Gangs e-book which you  can get through RPGdrive here:
http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/78874/Shadowrun-10-Gangs
Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

AFB at the moment but I believe the Laesa are mentioned in the Seattle 2072 sourcebook too.

The name sounds familiar, but I can't recall offhand where it might be located in a sourcebook.  However, you really don't need to know much about them beyond what they generally are.  I might be mistaken, but it sounds like an elf gang or crime syndicate, and that, of course, means that your PC has to be an elf in order to be a part of it.  I don't know.

But, even if you do know all about it, in the end you have to determine what benefit the PC receives from being a member of any gang, mob, organization, etc.  Mainly, such an association means the PC has contacts that he can use, to find jobs, gather information, fence stolen goods, or even get some help from.  One of my players made a member of the local Triad, which gives him all kinds of help in all those areas, but there is a price; he has to do missions often for free for the Triad.  He's in a position where he could become powerful enough to break off from his own Triad group and form his own group, which is basically how Triads proliferate, and it's a lot more looser for him to do that than if he were a member of the Mafia or Yakuza, who control that kind of thing rather tightly.  Gangs are very loose in that regard; just take your friends with you and carve out some turf, preferably someone else's turf and not your parent gang's.

Becoming a ranking member of a gang or syndicate should be a goal for the PC.  After all, becoming a Made Man means you're pretty much set.  You still have to work, of course, but you no longer need to worry about making your Lifestyle payments as much.  The bigger danger is that you are in for life.  There is no leaving the syndicate.  The syndicate may let you retire, but until then your ass belongs to the boss.   And you become a huge target for other syndicates, who will often ignore mooks in favor of you because getting to you weakens your syndicate, who then have to scramble to maintain the status quo as far as their revenues are concerned, since you're no longer around to do that.

Well, 10 Gangs probably has the best information, though please dear god ignore the picture.  It has the Laésa running at more than 500 members, concentrated in Seattle, with some in Salish-Sidhe and Tir Tairngire; I find that quantity to be highly suspect, as Vice has the Ancients in Seattle at only about 350, and they're supposedly the largest, most powerful, most influential elven gang in Seattle.

You might take a look at 'Princes of the Blood', a small Tarislar street gang (as compared to the Ancients which are essentially a go-gang / syndicate, and the Laésa which are more-or-less a straight-out cultural/racial syndicate), if you want to keep the 'street gang' feel.  Laésa isn't big on fighting or, it would seem, most of the other standard 'gang' things; they look more to be trying to be the first actual elven 'professional crime syndicate', akin to the Mafia or Yakuza.

So with some digging I've found that the Laésa are also mentioned in Runner Havens briefly, though the writeup is almost identical to the one found in Seattle 2072.  As Wyrm mentioned, the most detailed writeup is in 10 Gangs.  Given that their roots are in the Rinelle k'Tesrae of Tir Tairngire you might also want to check out Shadows of North America for the writeup on that group.  Other than that there's precious little detail.

Is there something in particular you'd like to know?  A specific question or what-not that you need help with, as opposed to just wanting general information?

Critias,
I wanna to know if there are some Hierarchy, and how it works, like Cappos and Czars. Cause the father of one of the PCs is someone important in the mafia. The 10 gangs took away many of my questions like how many members and those stuff. Other thing, but I think that I might create this, is the language, some terms in Sperenthiel to bring more "reality" in this ethnic mob. Like "boss", "salutations", those things, but I read somewhere that Sperenthiel is like Gaelic, so Ill use this like reference.

Most of that organizational stuff's never really been laid out;  it's all very mysterious and elven and ooh, aah, no one knows for sure (or, put another way, it's all very freeform and you can do whatever you want to for you campaign).  There's good info on Sperethiel in a few of the older sourcebooks (but I'm not sure what you have access to), and some online, as well, if you do a little Googling.  You're right in that it's very similar to Gaelic, though, so you can wing it that way -- find words for "Prince" or "Chief" or something cool like that, and you can add a few ranks and give them a standard criminal cell system pretty handily.

Thanks a lot man, that is something that really helps.

I'm thinking in do something like a council for the "Princes" of the Laesa, like a medieval guild.
Without a leader per se, but the council decide the way that the the syndicate will take.
What do you think?

It has potential, could also lead to possible job opportunities for particularly attentive runners as while the Princes may not be able to openly fight each other, hiring Shadowrunners is a time-honored way of getting around such restrictions. Good nuyen to be made if you can handle it.

Sure.  That also gives you the opportunity for infighting, which is always a great way to drag PCs into someone else's mess.
