So i was having a bit of a dick about with hard targets and rebuilding a weaps specialist and had a bit of a brainwave. You could actually make a reasonable combatant out of an AI in the new shiny drone!
here's where i'm up to with it, its still not finished but thoughts? anything obvious i've missed?
It uses the Akiyama drone for work, utilising its gecko climbing and ruthenium for sneaking, utilising autosofts to make up for lack of skill points.
It has a high rating pilot and +5d6 (!!!) initiative which should be plenty quick enough plus a built in gun, close combat options for lethal/non lethal takedowns and can also help in legwork phase with data search and stake-outs.
It uses the cleaning drone for odd stuff like doing repairs, physical meets and such as the combat drone would cause all unholy hell to break loose if spotted.
Very tempted to drop the multidimensional coprocessor and pick up a sleaze rating plus sleaze boosting software for running silent and direct connection hacking. might dilute the pool a bit too thinly though?

AI would probably benefit from karma build. Don't forget that you can get a weapon mount with an AR attached. Also this drone really needs a monowhip for style.

The assassin Echo is listed as being never seen and using an Akiyama.  There's Precedence.   He may even be an AI!

Yeah going with the reclusive rigger story for meets. Figured it wouldn't be Uncommon enough that an experienced Johnson would have come across it a few times.
Weapon mount sounds good actually. Had it in my mind that I'd need Gunnery skill, but targeting autosoft would work nicely!
Figure I'd have to mod the weapon with ruthenium otherwise it'd ruin the drone's camouflage, but that's a good option. Thanks!

I dont have DT yet, so I dont know if it has been adressed in that book. But Im pretty sure you cane use EW when operating sensors in place of for instance perception or clearsight. (page 445 Sensors BRB) If thats the case you could skip on clearsight autosoft, and just go with EW. (yes that would make clearsight totally obsolete)

And I was gonna say that codeblock: dataspike might not be eligible because you dont have hacking, but I can see that that skill can be defaulted upon, so its actually possible to use it.

As an Ai you can emulate attack ratings too so I do have the ability technically

Loaded a weapon mount and chameleon coated Ares alpha on the build with some mods and pretty happy with it all in all. Whether it'll ever see tabletime is another matter lol
