It's been quite a while since I've played or posted, but I might get a chance to play this next weekend. Thought about a concept of a runner who doesn't want anything to do with magic or 'ware. Just good old fashion aptatude and training. Well... maybe a little luck thrown in there. Ok, ok. A LOT of luck!

It's feeling closer. Just need Gear and maybe a little more tweaking. Any input would be helpful.

These mix of qualities may seem counterintuitive, but it'll be what makes him such a loose (but mostly manageable) cannon. Common Sense told him the bet was a horrible idea, but Bad Luck on a Thrill-Seaker composure roll that he Edged landed him in his current In Debt status. Hopefully they'll all play off and feed into each other to make for some really interesting moments.

First up - to have 7/7 Edge, you're going to need to take the Lucky quality. Otherwise, Elf Edge caps at 6. You should totally do it though.

Honestly, I'd drop your Agility and Strength down a little to pump Charisma. As an Elf with high Attributes, you're a shoo-in for the party Face who has a decent side role as the number two Sam. Grab some Jazz and/or Cram and your initiative won't be a real problem either. Or just do the Edge action that gives you 5d6 initiative on enough passes and you're likely fine.

Adrenalin surge or lightning reflexes might also be a nice wway to boost your initiative, the natural way.... but they cost a crazy amount of karma :/
biased against cybers and awakened would be some easy points:)

A good disguise skill and he could go for the average joe wageslave, infiltrating in plain sight

It's on there. Pretty much the whole basis of the concept. He's probably be ok with drugs given his addictive nature, so that's an option. Would more than likely just use Edge, that's what I'll be for. Face could be the way to go.

Those qualities are definitely on my list. Biased is a good call for negative qualities. Looks like some Facing is in order to make this go a good member of the team.

Another quality I was looking at is Common Sense. Not to use it the way it's intended, but more like a way to utilize the Daredevil quality better. If the GM warns me with Common Sense, I'll know it's a bad idea and risky enough to get 2 Edge back, right? So yeah, he's got tons of common sense, but he chooses to ignore it because he loves the thrill.

IMO Adrenaline Surge > Lighting Reflexes.  Especially with 7 Edge.  However, see also Revels in Murder, you adrenaline junkie you.  You could play it as killing is the ultimate "thrill" for this character.  Just a thought.

Personally I'd go with Str and Logic of 2ish and a Monowhip (high risk/high reward!), shuffle points into Cha.  Influence Group 5, Con, Mono-whip, Pistol, Sneaking.  12 or 13 Dice for face skills isn't bad, and with 7 Edge you'll want to push the limits on any roll that seems important.  19 to 20 dice when it counts will get you by  : )

Combat, you're getting two actions without Edge or Drugs, but even with Jazz you're only around a 50/50 chance of getting a third action.  If you reliably want more actions you're going to need to Blitz, pairs well with Revels in Murder since you're not spending edge on attacks.

If you want a more conservative approach (and you don't, but if you did) go with Adrenaline Surge, use Leadership and/or Combat Tactics as your first action and lay low the rest of the combat.  If you want to play boring and safe that is.  Otherwise, Blitz, charge with Monowhip, Revels in Murder and 20 dice to cut someone in half, figure out the rest later.

Either of Poor Self-Control (Braggart) and (Thrill-seeker) , or both for a truly swaggering wildman, could fit nicely as NQs.

I don't have whatever book Revels in Murder is from. It's a little too psychotic for the feel in going for anyways. I'll definitely have to think on the Monowhip, though. I was thinking Gun Kata would fit his style.

Will definitely be picking those up. Cheers on the suggestion.
