at the upper brackets... was wondering what might a Penthouse or mansion look like if owned by a Runner?

or team there of in particular...

How to divide such a space, how to make it look "Normal" if neccessary... ideas?

or a House in a gated community in particular as have room for a Shamanic lodge HErmetic power Circle and your gear, the drones, 5 or 6 runners... how to dress it up?

How to make it look normal?  By keeping all that stuff indoors and not changing the outside of the house.  If you're a middle-class neighborhood and there's signs you have a shaman or mage living there, people are gonna be like "Knock knock, hello neighbors...  Wanted to get on your good side, also I have been having a bad time sleeping lately, you wouldn't happen to have any magic charms that'd help me sleep better...?"

The main thing would be making sure the group transport isn't conspicuous.  A buncha people, even odd or "colorful" people living together isn't suspicious.  They just think you're weirdos or too poor to afford it on your own.  You'll probably be looked down upon.  But, if said group of people is also the only guys on the block to own a huge, sturdy van, and the eclectic group of weirdos regularly are seen all leaving together in it?

They're either shadowrunners, or a punk rock band.  Honestly it's hard to tell.

But you get my point.

Run Faster has a lot of options though for stuff like additional workshops and stuff to make sure everyone has the right spaces.  They probably don't stand out too much, just don't let any of the wageslave guests go past your living room and kitchen when you have a housewarming party.

Jeeze.  It would almost sound stupid until you realize we're talking about an immortal elf clown sword fighting a dragon ghost in a mall.

Hmmmm I need to leave for work in a few minutes so not time to post much but . . .

1) Don't try to be normal, be abnormal. To use the above posters example a bunch of people all living together and leaving every so often in a black armoured van is suspicious. A bunch of "security staff" living together on "Corporate housing" and leaving every day in a van with some identifiable corporate branding is just an amoured car delivery crew saving money by living together in corporate sponsored housing. Likewise a bunch of runner with some talent in playing musical instruments leaving every so often in a colourful van for gigs is not going to draw as much attention. Just pay for the chameleon colour changing option and switch out gear when you're there. Alternatively since this is the "upper bracket" have one runner pose as a moderately wealth/important individual (the mage say or a runner with a trustfund) living with their private bodyguards for security purposes.

2) Invest in some hidden areas e.g. false doors and the like with concealed "panic rooms" to hide your stuff.

3) Try the purloined letter approach and put the sam's blades up on the wall as "decoration" till needed.

4) Try to avoid the penthouses where you'll run into neighbours on a regular basis and are limited in redesign options instead pay extra for a house and you can put in basements, hidden rooms and the like I'm sure there are black or gray market contracts who build security areas for the individual in the private security industry.

5) Buy storage space and keep gear offsite with people coming and going individually meeting up a reserved parking garage and changing to the running vehicle then collect gear.

Got to go but hopefully these help.

Yeah, the trick is to avoid changing the exterior if you have neighbors; that said, I'm a big fan of going a bit into the boonies and setting up a real hide-out, complete with very nasty defenses.  If you don't have to worry about witnesses, you still keep your defenses and things hidden (no need to tell everyone who shows up what's what), but you know if they're there, something is happening.
Would you want to go into a place where the resident had a drum-fed shotgun and can see in the dark?

Big, spooky gothic mansion, filled with gruesome looking artifacts. Live tigers as pets. Go full Adams.

Really, the easiest way to do this is to create an "Owner" to be the real rich loner who lives in the house, and have everyone pretend to be his family, guards, and staff. The "owner" can be the party face, a popular contact, or no one at all -- there can be more awkward questions if no one ever meets "the new neighbor", but at least you can skip all the neighborhood social gatherings.

Take commercial lifestyle and have your crew life in their own motel/hotel. Teamwork check on the cha+etiquette will help you keep the costs low.

But honestly: As soon as you have high or luxury lifestyle you are rich enough to not have to care about what your neighbors think - just invest in security with mirrored windows and your own underground garage.

Alternatively a low life style can also grant you some  privacy  since keeping your nose out of other peoples business is a good survival strategy especially when other peoples business sometimes involves shooting people in the face for money.

Next up, Real Runners of Seattle!  What happens when a team of Elite criminals for hire move into the Snohomish suburbs?

It's a Horizon production, and all the neighbors are trained actors. I had to get the raw footage for next season for a client who had some money riding on whether or not there'd be an advancement in the love subplot between the street sammy and the dog shaman. Anyways, all the neighbors are nice and cozy with the runners whenever there's a break, then when the cameras are on, it's all drama and snooping around.

I hear the drone fly-by's during production are non-stop.  All the jamming and counter jamming actually interferes with Matrix connections in the neighborhood during production.

Keep an eye on the runner's footwear next season as Nuevo-Puma just signed up with Horizon to push their new 'Slipstream' line of sport shoes with their 'Live to Run, Run to Live' motto.
Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

I still got some copies of the raw footage, and they actually weren't wearing anything obviously branded in that. My best guess is that Horizon keeps it non-descript while filming, since that's done quite a lot in advance, and then they just edit in all the sponsored gear.

Any one know anything about the Runners in this show? I mean are they a legit  team who decided that a reality Trid  gig is a better way to make neyen then getting shot at on nightly bases or are they just a bunch of want-a-bes  who look the part?

Only 'shot at'?  Get a clip of them actually getting shot, and you'll know whether or not they're legit.

One of these days, you're going to need to learn how to do your own 'trix searching.

They're real runners, except for their face, but I'll leave it as a homework exercise as to how they wound up on a reality trid
