*Sighs*

Dunno why I even bother with P-b-P, honestly more of a frustration then scratching the player-side itch.

I agree that it can be a bit frustrating, but I am content overall.  The plusses outweigh the minuses, in my opinion.  It does help to have a group of players that is cohesive and posts regularly, but it beats the alternative of not playing at all.  I am sorry of my posting is dragging the game down, so let me know if it is and I will try to step my game up a notch.

Sorry everyone, between a flooded bedroom, finals in school and some other personal stuff I've been away but I should be back much more often now.

We've replace Xipe's player for now, things should roll along more smoothly.

It's always a crap shoot with PbPs.  The first month of SDS, we had one group that was a joy to GM for, one group that was cruising along with most participants, and then one group that I literally had to nudge each person for every post and then at the end I said 'f it' and just wrote a narrative on how the run ended.

This time around it look like this is the slowest group with both Pennies and Xipe's players dropping out (at least Pennies player gave me a head's up).  M.Merchant and Stoneglobe are both a big reason why Tri Tri Again is cruising along at 17 pages of posts so I am confident that this one will pick up as they grow more comfortable playing characters that someone else imagined.

So hang in there, the biggest killer of the PbP is the snowball effect of drop outs.  1 person drops, and then more people drop as we wait for that one person, which in turn causes more people to meander away.

-----

In the meantime, I'll leave the IC alone for the moment, while you guys RP out your plan of attack.

Am just trying to get my head around Xipe athe the moment. Also I've not played a mage/shaman before so if I make any major mistakes please feel free to shout out and let me know.

Sorry Schenn, I couldn't remember what Div introduced himself to us as...if it was a handle I can amend my IC post...

@Jayde: are you happy for Req to contact his people for ceramic weapons and latex/nano paste masks?  I know the latter are in Hard Targets (right?) but I'm not sure I've seen the 'Mission Impossible' masks since SR4???

'Divillian' is fine, 'Div' works too if you don't want to say the whole name for some reason (too much action going on for example)

As Xipe goes astral and before he leaves for his task, Divillian hits him with a force 7 False Impression spell to make him look like a naturally forming low force air spirit. The intent is that any astral defense that fails the resistance test will think that he's just some curious, harmless minor free spirit, not a potential threat in the form of a mage.

11 Dice [ 5 Spellcasting + 6 Magic ] = 4 hits

Its a mental illusion, resisted with Logic + Willpower.

Shadow Spells - P.20

This spell is designed to pass illusions to the target’s magical senses. While it cannot create auras of astral images where none are present, it can change their appearance to anyone using Assensing, Psychometry, Sensing, or the Astral Window spell. False Impression only affects the image of a single spell or astral form, while Manascape changes the appearance of an area.

Aria... forcing me to read up on books!

If it's available in current 5th ed books, it's available following normal rules.  So, however you can make it work.

Stoneglobe:

So... you have a bright aura on the astral plane in a sea of gray, but solid objects still provide cover and line of sight is still generally in forward arcs, so you can try to sneak around the facility despite the air elemental.

Sorry for the lack of posting, lots of travel, parties and alcohol to blame. Will get back on it tonight after work.

Keep in mind that some of the matrix work will require teamwork tests...

While the toughness of the host is especially daunting for any single decker, much less Ice and Pennies... working together, they may be able to make a go of the place.

For when the time comes, that is.
