In the absence of Stoneglobe posting, I'm assuming JC is still guarding the dwarf from escaping and/or harm.

I'll post now while we are still waiting for Stoneglobe to post. I have a long day tomorrow and wont be able to post - besides my action is pretty straight up simple at the moment since I can't hack anything.

Ceci n'est pas une dwarf.

For my next trick, I shall shoot at the drone in regular fashion.

I may have rolled 2 too many, not sure. But better to roll more and trim than otherwise.

So if I understand the rules of Shadowrun, I now get to do two things and Van gets to do nothing. Meaning it's just sitting there while I get two rounds?

What are the chances I can shoot out the tires? How far is the van? Could I get to it and open the door? Climb on the roof and hold on like a psycho? Throw a grenade inside and close the door like a psycho?

As you can tell, the only non-psychotic idea I have is to try to shoot out the tires. Moreover, I doubt (based on basic common sense, not the Rules of Shadowrun) that I can catch a van that has begun to speed away.

Also, if I understand things correctly, I don't get any sort of bonus for being closer to the tire that I'm trying to shoot out. Therefore, all else being equal, I shall attempt to shoot out a front tire, so long as I can see it. I'll just go ahead and take one shot for now on the off chance the ork or drone does something.

You don't get a bonus for being closer, but you do get a negative for being further away.

Also, the stick and shock is going to probably do little to the van, but it's probably super intuitive to try to shoot at it, so I like that, shooting at it for the next two passes:

Let's get initiative rolls from everybody :)

I am really sorry to voice a bit of frustration, but the last IC post for this thread was on 1/23 and it is now the end of 1/28.  This seems to be going a bit slow.

Jayde's got a lot on his plate. VegasRigged would routinely take 8+ days to post as GM in month 1, so count your blessings.  I know it's frustrating to be completely out of the action for literally weeks on end, but… Oh, I guess that was the end of my sentence.

For my part, sorry for not being more on top of things given that I have all the initiative ever. I went ahead and put up another post since I'm almost certainly going to be the first to go. Like usual, not real sure if it's a good idea and it's certainly not clever, but hopefully it'll do the trick and keep us moving along.

FWIW I really miss your writing MM, you were doing a great job helping to keep us going. Feels like the end is in sight though for better or worse.

So, wow.  I expected to be busy this week, but not this excruciatingly badly.

It's 10:50 pm California time.  So I've been working every day since last Tuesday.  I guess last Saturday was sort of a day off?  Not really, the bulk was our unit flight to California, but we were up and in uniform at early o'clock and upon arrival sat in briefings to acquaint us with the post.

So we're doing this 'Staff Level' exercise, and it turns out no one knows what the f they are doing, so I've been in the 'office' at 7am after breakfast at the dining facility and then leaving 'office' at 10pm or later.  That's pretty much been every day this week.  Tuesday we got out at 8pm :D

I'm officially out of laundry and will try to do some tomorrow.  If I can find a free machine.  Good times.

And there is no sign that it's not going to be like this for the next four nights.  Wednesday ends the training exercise and then Thursday will be a regular length day and then Friday the flight back home.  Then we'll work over the weekend again.

Last night I tried to get on but I guess the forums were down so now I'm trying to get caught up tonight and give you guys a little something.  I am also frustrated that I don't even have enough time to take half an hour to post on some forums.

The irony is that once we're actually overseas, everything will calm down once we find our battle rhythm.  We'll still have 14 hour days, but we;ll be able to find 3-4 hours within those 14 hours to take for ourselves, and maybe even swing the shifts a bit because that 14 hour requirement is office manning, not necessarily everyone has to be there the whole time.

In the meantime:

41 Cal
21 Van
15 Kumiho
13 Calico

Kumiho can try to put that tracer on.
That's just like... your opinion, man.

On his turn, Cal will continue towards the car as quickly as he can. I'll go ahead and sprint, assuming I'm far enough away to need to.
