Ravener finds a few newslinks on an attack at Shiawase Towers in Tacoma.  There is little information on the attack as Shiawase has exercised it's Corporate Extraterritoriality to block out media and aid.  Media outlets are assuming that Shiawase wants to handle this internally, somehow.  There are no clues as to who, how, or why.

If nobody has a place that they'll invite everyone to, to meet more privately, then VanGuard will suggest (in the IC thread) that we all meet at a club and that he has equipment to confound attempts of outside parties to observe. He has a noise generator as well as an area jammer.

As Henway said in the IC thread, clock is ticking on the group checking out the scene.  I'd suggest doing that on the fly, then they review everything afterwards?  (btw, Henway introduced himself  to Lucien with "Stone sent me" without mentioning his name--that is why Forty asks it in the IC thread).

To follow up on my IC post: Despite the overall attitude, Forty knows she will mostly be supporting experts here.  She's willing to let Kachina call the shots on magic, in fire fights is happy to have direction from anyone who knows tactics beyond "fill them full of bullets before they do the same to you," and so on.  Character sheet summary is under spoiler tags in my past near the top of this thread.

Of course, in play by post, waiting for instructions from others could slow things down at times, so I'll see how this works out.  She might get more uppity again if this plan turns out to be too slow.

Getting a touch out of narrative order:  before getting out of Ravener's ride, try to memorize his scent:
     Sniff Ravener: 8d6t5 4
   
Then de-activate heightened sense of smell before going in, to be on the safe side
   
Composure test once inside:
     Composure: 12d6t5 7 -- Apparently today Orokos likes me! :p
   
Once inside for a bit and deciding it really isn't that bad, re-activate heightened sense of smell, and scan the room (without exploring yet), just to get a general sense of the place.

If needed:
Visual scan:

Initial sniff for any smells beyond the blood (gun powder?)
     First sniff of the massacre site: 8d6t5 2 -- Sigh, RNG is always a fickle friend.
   

ETA:

WillAsher: No pressure on Ravener.  But since Jayde Moon kindly sent Forty right into a piece of her backstory, figured I should do something with it.  I really don't expect that you'll be into their system, so consider that offer to be role-play fluff.

Turkish: While Forty doesn't have high regard for humans, OOC don't worry about her opinion too much.  Forty will obey(ish) whoever is chosen as leader.

Jayde, I just noticed that the character sheet on the Obsidian Portal has me with a Knowledge Skill for Small Unit Tactics 2, and it should be Security Tactics 3, which was on the sheet I originally sent you.  Can that get changed, or was I missing something on my sheet? 

Assuming yes, I'm going to roll that skill to assess how 'by the book' the Shiawase guards are handling the situation and if I notice anything unusual from them.   If no, then disregard the roll or let me know what I should roll in place of this.  Sorry if I'm confusing things, still trying to get used to the whole format - in past PbP games (not SR) I usually didn't roll dice unless the GM told me to.

Yok:  I have decided that Security Tactics, Security Protocol, Security Procedures, etc are all similar enough to Small Unit Tactics that they will be the same.  I use Small Unit Tactics so that we can reference the maneuvers available in Run and Gun.

You can change the 2 to a 3, that might have been a typo on my part.
