Alright, looks like we might be waiting to see if Kachina wants to do anything more with the spirits or give the call o attack or whatever :)

Meanwhile, I have a sob story for anyone who wants to read it on my posting activity and how it will be for the next month probably.  I'm going to hide it so if you're not interested, you don't need to see the wall of tex, but thought it could give you an idea of what I mean by 'busy'

I am the Senior Enlisted Intelligence Analyst for a Sustainment Command, of which the Headquarters Element (including myself) is deploying to Kuwait this Spring.  While I am Active Duty, the unit itself is a reserve unit, so in the past few months it has gone from being about 40% manned to 100%, but that 60% did not have the ‘requirements’ so we’ve been feverishly getting those together in time for our train ups which start in a week and a half.  The train ups will include a training exercise in California and then in Texas.

As the Sr Intel Analyst, I am also the Security Manager for the entire command, which is something like… I think 5000+ people.  So while getting this several hundred contingent ready to go to Kuwait, I still have to also manage the Security Management program for the command.  I will relinquish this duty in two weeks, but right now I’m still the one.

Then, part of the 60% included my ENTIRE intelligence team.  So it went from JUST ME to several junior intelligence analysts, techs, and two superior Officers, all of which I have to train, respond to, prepare for training directly… and they are all reservists who don’t understand several of the processes.

Finally, I am a Geo-Bachelor (since i moved to this location specifically for this deployment, I did not bring my wife) so now I am in the midst of moving everything out of my house.

I have not gotten out of the office prior to 7pm on most nights.  12 hour days are a norm and it’s pretty much working lunch every day.  On top of that, I have meetings about meetings, and each meeting generates more work.    The General wants to know what he wants to know and he wants to know it yesterday.  I won’t have a weekend off until… 2017.  I might get 5-7 days between California and Ft. Hood to go see my wife for a week before I don’t get to see her for 9-12 months.

None of this is for a ‘woe is me’, I am happy with my work and look forward to this deployment, relatively (I miss my wife and dog a whole lot)… just wanted to give you guys an idea of why I am having to de-prioritize posting here, some days.

I remain committed to running this play-by-post and trying to still get on every day or not miss more than a day, until month 2 is complete.  I will probably wait to run month 3 until I am settled in Kuwait and understand what my schedule there will be like.

Anyway, that’s all!  I hope you stay with me through this time, because I do enjoy running this PbP.
That's just like... your opinion, man.

@Jayde - Ouch, that's a lot to have on your plate!  My father was career Air Force(23 years, including all of the Vietnam era), so growing up in that environment and remembering the times my mom was home with three kids for months at a time, I can sympathize a bit.

More importantly, thank you for your service.

As to the PbP, I'm enjoying the heck out of it and am grateful for your effort in running it.  If posting gets slow due to real world responsibilities, I am happy to be patient.

You expressed my thoughts on this well.  I love this game, but you have a ton on your plate--will happily enjoy what time you have for us, but willing to patient when you don't.  And if I try and get some between player chatter going at times that is not impatience, just me being sociable.

No worries bud! Thanks for thinking of us during all of your upheaval, considering we are the least of your worries.  I hope all goes well with the transition to Kuwait!  In the meantime, we will have plenty of back and forth banter between the characters, like Beta mentioned! :)

All cool.  I remember working up for deployment all too well.  Take care of yourself first.

Since I have one comlink down, time to take down the other
Initiative (Hot Sim, no longer hidden):  4d6+9 28
Hack on the fly Hermes Ikon 7 hit
Crash dialing/texting program 7 hits
Now he shouldn't be able to dial out, so waiting on team and his actions for next pass.  Is the vehicle left running (visible in Matrix)?

Initiative:

     Forty: 12+3d6 -1 (stun) Forty init 11+3d6: 12-1+3d6 19
    Harry (F6 beast spirit) 12+3d6  Harry (spirit) init 12+3d6: 12+3d6 25

    Forty: 19
    Harry: 25

I don't know how the spiritual dog-fight is going to play out.  Should we do something like make an attack roll and a defense roll and leave them here, for when they are needed (if they are needed)?  If so:

     Harry attack (Will+ACombat=12) Harry (spirit) A.Cbt attack: 12d6t5 3
Harry defense, (Int+log=12) Harry Astral def: 12d6t5 5

Sorry, I did the same thing as Kachina and put my initiative in a spoiler on my OC post and I forgot to roll initiative for my drones acting autonomously.

VanGuard (jumped in): Initiative (Jumped into Bumblebee): 4d6+11 26
Drones: Drone Initiative: 3d6+6 16

I have no idea whether the mage is really going invisible or not (although Forty is convinced that he is), but I do think that hitting the area (gas, suppressive fire, etc) could be a good idea.

OOC, I am going to point out that supressive fire is probably a very terrible idea. Especially if an innocent bystander happens to open their door and walk out into a hail of bullets.

Just going to mention that while Kachina is astrally projecting, she's out of contact, unless through Harry maybe.
