Ravener comes 'awake' with a snarl as discordant tones erupt from his headphones. 'Feet pue tan, Gorram Mutherfuckers!!!' Ravener yells as he surges to his feet.  Noting how the team is looking at him, Ravener starts pacing as he slings AROs with information he has pulled off the Matrix.  Numerous images of burnt out labs and toxic sludge melted security guards slide across the teams commlinks,  mixed with pictures of people with hacked open holes in their bodies where now smashed implants once were.

'These guys are anti-augmentation terrorists from the tribes.  They used to be a lot more moderate, but then Winternight fucking took over.  Some frackin' agent has taken them survived are took over.  Now they are in the running with the Halloweeners for most deranged kill of the week.  They don't advertise or boast about their work, but I keep seeing reports of attacks on agri-corps...you know, the people that produce most of the food we eat?  Bastards have a plan, but no one is sure exactly what.  Just that it has to deal with bulk food.  They tend to have small teams, 5 to a dozen fanatics.  Well equipped and semi-professional fanatics.  Toxic Shamans and such as well.  All led by the same bastards who caused Crash 2.0 and were happy to Nuke people as well.'
Ravener's voice carries a remarkable amount of venom.

'Bottom line, these guys are dangerous to not just a few people and their leader likes to think big.  They were looking into new hires at Greenfields, which should probably be where we start digging deeper.  When we find them, we really need to make sure we know what their plans are.  By whatever means necessary.'

Forty had just stepped forward and opened her mouth to speak when Ravener snarled awake.  Instinct caused her heightened reactions to fire, lending the horrifying descriptions an oddly languorous quality.

When he was done, she started packing again, slitting out words.  This is real bad.  Crazy can be bad evil can be bad but crazy- evil?  Thatis the worst sort of drek.  I had the pleasure of spending time in the 'dangerous metahumans' wing of prison when it was still full of crazy survivors from goblinization.   Most were just messed up, but few had been bad people who thought turning trog was like a reason to be bad, no guilt at all.  Taught me to be tough but I was pretty glad a lot has killed each other off in there before I showed up.  A big group of that sort of crazy .... She shakes her head apparently at a loss for words.

She stops her pacing looks at Kachina, and avows "Yah, we gotta be tight on this.  I'll follow your lead-- I just hope for all our sake you got this."

Henway's brow furrows in thought as he mentally wrestles with something.  Awright, boss.  First question dat we gotta answer.  Was we hired ta take out da slots dat geeked dem suits at da tower, or da whole fraggin' org dat's behind 'em?  Cause if it's da whole org, nine kay ain't nowhere near enough cred unless dere ain't very many of 'em, an it sounds like dere's more dan just dis one team.  He pauses.  And if it ain't da whole org, it ain't gonna stop 'em from doin' it again wit anudder crew.

He rifles through his bag for a minute.  If it is da whole org, I need ta get more ammo and spare clips.  Five hunnert rounds ain't gonna be enough.

Angus smiles "You could always pick up the ammo from there dead corpses as we go." He then says in a thoughtful tone, "I doubt though that we were meant to kill an entire organization of terrorist. it seems too large a scope. I would, however, enjoy the challenge." A wistful look crosses his face, "It will be nice to be on the good side for once, you know killing the terrorist rather then being the terrorist."

VanGuard nods towards Kay, "I defer to your judgement, but the way I see it, right now all we have to go on is this one cell.  I agree that taking out the entire organization is beyond the scope of what we are being paid, however maybe when we knock over this cell, they may have some intel that indicates other cell's activities or other targets which we can then turn over to Mr. Johnson for a bonus. Whichever method we decide to use to neutralize this cell will fulfill the contract we agreed to, in my eyes.  I am still chasing a potential lead on the van, that may yield some info.  One thing we have on our side, at the moment, is that the terrorists have no idea we are coming... in theory."

Forty had smiled at Henway's comment, then began to look troubled as the others spoke.  Eventually she puts her machine pistol and a couple of clips on the table and admits "This is my whole armory.  Mostly I use it to threaten, or distract while I ask a spirit to do somethin' - somethin'.  I'm thinkin' this could be more war than shake down, so i should load up on more ammo.  And this Steyr-TMP is a wiz little package, but I'm thinkin' something bigger, with more range and maybe more juice, might be a plan if I can get something in time."

She looks around and unapologetically adds  "Any of you know someone who will sell ammo -- or better yet something cheap like an Uzi IV or Colt M23 -- to someone who is light on licenses?  I can get something on my own, but it might take more time than we have.  If not, that's chill, I just won't be doing a lot of covering fire."

Henway nods at the comments from the rest of the team, apparently in some kind of agreement.

Wiz.  I like dat idea 'bout gettin' info 'bout udder teams and gettin' paid for dat as a bonus.  He looks over at Forty.  I wouldn't sweat it Fawtee, way I see it is we all got a job ta do, and dese slots are gonna make us all do our part or we're gonna get geeked.  Dey got mojo, tech and can brawl, least wit dem dat can't fight back.  So we got mojo ta take down dere mojo, tech ta keep dem outta our PANs, and we got da guns ta put 'em down.  Plus dey don't know we's comin', so we should have dat goin' for us too.

Without skipping a beat, VanGuard responds to Forty's inquiry, sharing similar concerns about ammo levels for certain scenarios.

"I don't have direct connections to ammo and weapons, my people know people, but I do have software with current market prices and availability, since both will be a factor in what you might choose to go with.  Presuming you are using AR, I will share my HUD with you so you can browse the catalog of data.  I will limit it to submachine guns and assault rifles; that said, I would try to limit your shopping to things are most immediately available.  That goes for everyone, I am happy to share my catalog of pricing and availability; I have data for firearms and ammunition, drones and vehicles, and cyberware.  However, unless it is the plug and play sort of 'ware, I doubt we have time for anyone undergo surgery. I presume some else around here has more direct connections for weapons and ammo though, I might need to pick up some extra rounds if we are wanting my bumblebee to be going loud and proud with its MMG, but if we want it to be long range support, then I should be set for ammo."

"Yah, you've got the right of it Henway, that we got the skills to do this.  It's just, look, you put a couple of bullets through the leg of most chummers then tell 'em the next ones are through the head, they'll decide surrender ain't so bad, but crazy might not do that.  Most chummers won't kill without a decent reason, at least not without a chance of surrender first, but evil will if it thinks it can get away with it.  So crazy evil can go for the kill quick and don't go down easy."

She looks around the room, gives a little chuckle, and adds "Course, some chummers might say the same about us.  Maybe we surprise 'em, maybe we don't, but either way I'm in on us needing a plan.  We can try to hit 'em hard and fast and hope and hope they don't get it together, or we can go in all careful and calculated and try to build up our edge on 'em, but either way don't be surprised if they answer a knock on the door with a Uzi shooting through the door or maybe a bomb, and who cares about the others in the building.  That's what I'm expecting when I say crazy evil."

"And yah, I'm probably just a fussing old woman or whatever.  I've said my bit and I won't go on about it any more until we know something-something about where they are holed up.  I'll go look at gun catalogs now."

Kachina was deep in her thoughts after seeing the images Ravener was sending. It seemed she was now in charge of a runner team that is to take on a highly dangerous terrorist unit...  And to put matter to worst, they had toxic shamans. And if she would be more than happy to put a bullet in the brain of a few, she knew it was making things more dangerous for  the team. Magic always did.

Vanguard, Henway, you're on point. Our run will imply stopping that cell that attacked Shiawase. Nothing more. However, we must also find their reasons behind and as much info as possible on the ramification of it. We will then report back to the Johnson. If they're just happy with the retaliation, I know a few people who could really use that info we have. In both case we will have good bargaining chips.
But before we get there, and before we can plan a hit on them, we need to find where that group of terrorist is hiding. I wonder if that shoe print could give us a lead, same with that fancy submachine gun blood tears was using. I have a contact who can help with the submachine gun, and maybe even procuring weapons or ammo for us if you need something specific Forty. Any one has an idea on how we could find where that cell is hiding?

Ravener nods to Kachina. I agree we were hired to stop this group, but I would be happy to turn over information that leads to more of the jackals getting offed.  I have both quite and loud options, although with these guys the loud might be necessary.  Plenty of ammo for each as well.  Unfortunately, I don't keep any automatics.  Ravener says apologetically to Fourty.  If you can get me more to go on with the van I can start scouring the Matrix for it.  Until then I will start looking into the footwear and weapons we have images for.  Unfortunately, I think the van will be the bigger link to where they are hiding.

While still obviously paying attention, Ravener sits back down and starts shuffling through Matrix sites for more information about shoes and tricked out SMGs..

"Those ideas for finding these fraggers are good -- nothing I would'a thought of which probably means their smart.  I had an idea, which probably means its dumb but whatever I'm still putting it out there.  Can we let them find us?  Asking to join up with them is probably too dumb.  But it looks like they are interested in these Green-whatever places and the wage-slaves who slave there.  I dunno how much is safe to share with Lieutenant Stick-Up-His-Butt or Drek-Mouth Lucien, but maybe if they know what to look for, like that van, or somebody who was trouble then suddenly was being all corp ass-kisser goody-two-shoes, or was always broke and is suddenly rolling in new wheels, or missing for a few days with no word .... I guess lots of possible signs, but maybe they could find something that could point to a target."

"Look, I know it is dumb to just wait for them to show up, but just in case tracing them don't go so easy, you know?"

After a moment Forty brightens a bit, then she adds "I know someone who might know someone.  I don't think she'd deal with the fraggers we're chasing, but maybe a supporter of the group, or someone who would know something.  Bit of a long shot, and I know we don't want to make too much noise with our search just yet, but let me know if I should make that call."

"As for ammo and guns what I'd love is get an M23 assault rifle with a laser sight, with a couple of clips of regular ammo and one of gel rounds--just in case we have to play gentle--and another clip for my machine pistol.  If I can't get the big bang-bang in time then I'll at least try to get a couple more clips for the little guy."

Henway does his level best to pay attention to everyone's comments, but when the vocabulary becomes too polysyllabic his attention wanders, often becoming fascinated with the top of his shoes or the leftovers of the egg rolls.  Even so, his response indicates that he has been listening, even if appearing distracted.

I might wanna make a call for spare clips or maybe belts for da ell em gee if da plan calls for 'pression' fire.  Guess we needs ta find 'em first, but dat's not wut I do, so I leave dat ta da rest of youse.

He nods slightly at Forty's comments.  A ambush might work if we know where dey gonna hit next, but da corp needs ta know we's dere ta help or dey gonna come at us same as da bad guys 'cause dey won't know who's who.

"Wise words, chummer.  An' I hope they ain't the words of experience!"

"Something I forgot to mention, my contact that might know somebody who might know somebody?  She can get her hands on drugs pretty good.  So if any of you use that sort of boost I can put that call in for you.  We all win if we're as ready as we can be."
