Random question that just occurred to me but Immortal Elves are meant to have been alive all through human history so I'm wondering were they always Elves as in pointy ears, etc or did they do a reverse of the transformation process and look human for all that low magic time?

As far as i have ever read, the surviving IEs stayed Pointy. They just learned to keep a low profile and disguise their abnormalities. Much of what we know came from the old ED supplements.  Including the Unpublished Dragons book. I always felt that the original authors had intended to leave the whole thing hazy.

Interesting and its not like there's a shortage of ways to hide it magically and otherwise but definately interesting they stayed pointy when things like shapechangers are called out as being unable to assume human form in a low magic zone.

First things first, remember that the 'Fifth World' was a LOW magic zone, not a NO magic zone. Basically, picture a Mana Ebb at -10 or so, practically (but not quite) to the point of being a Void. For the vast majority of creatures on the planet, this is functionally a magicless era, but for a very powerful mages and spirits, it is still there. They're weakened, of course, but still able to do some things. Hence why dragons (which are dual-natured) merely went to sleep instead of dying when the mana dropped. So yes, the immortal elves were always elves. However, a minor glamour to hide their ears would still be possible for them, and there are all those mundane means of disguising themselves.

Any episode of Original Star Trek where Spock has to blend in can give you an idea on how to do it on the mojolow. :P

Though if you read 'Worlds without End' page 20 has Aina mention how her elven features were muted during the low magic time, even her eyes had changed colour during this time.

Do you believe in a greater WIRELESS, an Invisible(WiFi) All Seeing(detecting those connected- at least if within 100'), All Knowing(all online data) Presence that we can draw upon for Wisdom(downloads & updates), Strength (wifi boni) and Comfort (porn) or do you turn your back on it  (Go Offline)?

I can easily imagine Harlequin starting the hippy fashion trend of headbands.

Oh, ghost, now that you've mentioned Harley starting a trend, I can't help but ponder, how much crazy stupid FUN stuff he must have been responsible for. Seriously, can you imagine what kind of drek he must have gotten up to when bored while still being able to use magic in 5th world?

some say he backed a british gaming company back in the 1970s and had a whole line of acrobatic mystic warrior elves in the game named after him. :P

The other IE were not so amused.

For him, that's just another reason to do it.

Harley was able to craft a weapon focus in the 1800's, a rapier IIRC.

A very powerful one, in fact. :)

What does Harley do when he's bored? Whatever the frag he wants! Though, I've always wondered if he modeled his face paint after renaissance jesters, or if they modeled theirs after him? I've always imagined him as one HECK of a great violinist or pianist. Don't know why...

My understanding is they copied him.

Also, I love how every iteration of Harlequin I've seen so far has 'Destroy Pants' as a spell.  So much Karma to spend on spells he literally got one to destroy people's clothes.  Amazing.
Would you want to go into a place where the resident had a drum-fed shotgun and can see in the dark?

It's probably a good thing that spell isn't available to PCs as far as I know. I'd abuse the heck out of that.  ;D My dad introduced me to SR when I was 14, and I've had a crush on Harlequin ever since. *whistles nonchalantly while also actively avoiding eye contact*
