Could lower Simon Andrews conection to 5 for 2000 more nuyen (that would max out cash- am not willing to increase In Debt) but I think that lizard should be a 6.

Simon Andrews (S-K Agent/Fixer), Seattle (CON: 6, LOY: 1)
Simon is a full-body changeling, a bipedal lizard-man with green, scaly skin, a tail, and no hair. He wears a battered leather vest covered in graffiti, anarchy symbols, and punk band buttons and revels in being a freak. Endearingly, he has a British punk accent, an affinity for people, and high empathy. On the flip side, Simon will hit on anything that moves, likes to snack on live white mice, and his reptilian yellow eyes blink disturbingly. He’s direct and in your face when riled and is utterly loyal to “Master Lofwyr.” He serves as the dragon’s eyes and ears in Seattle, working as an independent agent and fi xer for Saeder-Krupp.

== Description ==
Churchill cuts her very short and with her and with her deep voice (for a woman) passes as a man, most people thinking she's a 'pretty boy' type of guy. She doesn't do anything to disuade the notion as many of the employers she deals with think men are better suited to be shadowrunners. Most of the tme she has her jumpsuit in outrageous color schemes- she thinks the best way to hide is in plain sight. On runs she grudgingly agrees that the subtle approach is prudent and tones the clothes down to muted colors.

== Background ==
Churchill was born in the East End of London and began running around with hacker gangs until the day she realized instead of doing pranks she could actually make money from the right people. During a run for Hans Brackhaus, her and her team brought down too much heat. Herr Brackhaus was not amused but since they completed their objective, in lieu of the promised paynent, he smuggled each of the team members to different parts of the world. That's how she ended up in a drek apartment in a bit end of Tacoma.

== Concept ==
Adept Hacker.

== Notes ==
Churchill has the bad habit of uploading a file during runs. The file includes a picture of Winston Churchill with his two fingers shaped in a 'V'. Along with the picture there is always a message, such as, "V is for Victory. Or up yours. Whichever you prefer."; "V is for Vendetta you bloody conformists."; "V is for Vandals- the fraggin guys who buggered the Romans not those combat biking twits."

This habit of starting every message with V has Scotland Yard and Interpol refering to the yet unidentified criminal as 'Hacker V'.

Borrowed money from mob to subsiddize her savings so she could replace asmuch of her equipment which was left behind in England when she fled..

I like this character.
Should not she have a commlink for everyday stuff?
First aid seems like too much skillpoints, a R6 medkit has 12 dice for a couple thousand nuyen.
Maybe I overlooked, but no Etiquette at all?

But thank you for the Vandals, the barbarians were my reference for the name xD

Not sure about the Magic Rating. So you start at 2, drop to 1 from Essense loss, buy up to 3 with 25 Karma, then add your point from your Metatype? To me, that really s like it's pushing the limits of gaming the system. I'd say you'd have to apply everything before you bought it up with your remaining Karma. So it'd cost 10 more, but doable with your 15 Karma in Positive Qualities.

Why did you buy Arcana with skill points?

I've also become convinced that IC is a better spec for Cybercombat, because device hacking in combat time is not viable.

I'm also playing with the concept of the Adept Hacker at the moment though am using karma build to do mine rather than priority or sum to ten.

Have decided to use drugs for initiative dice boosting which allows more in the way of Increased Skill abilities from adept powers

No contacts or knowledge skills yet and there is 175,600 left to buy gear

I've also become convinced that IC is a better spec for Cybercombat, because device hacking in combat time is not viable.

5 skills at 6 w/spec = 35, 1 skill point left, hence Arcana 1.

Technically the order needs to be add special point to base, lose 1 from 'ware buy in resource phase  and then buy up with karma... evidently Chummer isn't handling the karma correctly and I didn't notice. So yes it should cost 35 Karma while Chummer costed it 25.

Beats me how Chummer calculated it.

Since this character spent 9 Karma on nuyen, 15 on positive qualities and 1 on contacts, it would be hard to fit in MR 4. I guess it's magic rating 3 and 10 points to spend on other things.

I figured I buy it  after first run: JOAT for 4 and Etiquette for 1.
But since it seems I have 10 extra karma and 1 less MR, I'll probably start with JOAT add 2000 more nuyen saving the 7 leftover karma. With JOAT 'll be able to learn 4 skills  (including etiquette) after the first run.

I've noticed 5.177 has had some issues with SAP costs.  Try to update directly https://github.com/chummer5a/chummer5a/releases/latest

A quick note, as far as I know, In Debt doesn't allow you to also spend Karma on money when you take it. So if you have it, that's all you get for additional resources.

Wow, I missed that.

RF P. 156:  "These points are spent in place of the normal Karma for extra cash and extend the possible additional funds to 75,000¥."

Thats pretty clear.  The quality is listed as1-15 karma.  15 x 5,000 is 75,000.  So no In Debt XV plus another 10 karma for normal nuyen.

I guess the question is, "can you take In Debt II and spend 8 karma normally.

It also seems to suggest that the karma you gain from the negative quality must be spent to get nuyen, rather than giving karma to spend on what you want, plus the money.

I wasn't really checking the Karma log- just hurried through making the character. Didn't realize that Chummer was so off on the total.

I usually stick to making characters by hand.
I guess I should continue to do so.
