It took Torrent another moment to realize what it was: Both men carried Ares Alphas - definitively not standard issue for KE's hardest concurrent.

The boat began to slow down as the man in the prow got ready to jump on land.

Slobbertooth heard Torrent's alert and rushed into the back of the house to take cover opposite of the elf, trying to slip into a new hiding place. He flicked on his smartlink, made sure his tripod was braced against a solid surface and took aim.

Then he checked his watch. Wilcox had friends coming over, and the kill-team won't be arriving before those lock get undone. Better make sure we aren't jumping the gun here.

Despite his haste, Slobbertooth managed to get in position without disturbing the foliage to much.
It was exactly and on the second 1500h when the boat ground ashore and the armored man landed on the ground, raising his rifle and advancing up the narrow stairs to the houses back door.

As always, when encounters get real, bnc is more than nervous. She's glad to be safely in the van, but still she's feeling giddy. Before they land, she once more examines the icons more closely. After that, she activates the rotordrones, opens the car's window and pops out the drone's gun. It's ready for combat any time.

Can I find gun icons if I look for them? What about commlinks?

I was thinking that Slob shoots one dead, or draws the attention to himself by injuring them, and then Torrent paralyzes one.  Krestov finishes them off. Kind of hoping for getting the surprise penalty to initiative so that we all go before them, especially with Krestov's new syanpses.

Let's see where the initiatives fall first. I don't want to give up the alpha strike if we can get it.

I'm inclined to go with your plan because I'm petrified that Slobs shooting lone star cops.

I'm going to make the crazy assumption that Slobbertooth will probably be going first with an initiative of 31. I already rolled my attack and posted it.  Direct it at the guy who isn't surprised.

The surprise attack hit the armored man square in the side and threw him to the ground. Blood spurted from the holes in the armor, but despite that the man still was conscious enough to turn his weapon in Slobbertooths direction.

As the boat approached, Krestov was ready, advancing to be ready as soon as Slobbertooth made the first move.  When the first shots connected, the troll felt his adrenaline rise...under his control, but definitely putting him on edge. On the go, the troll rose as he advanced, his newly enhanced synapses showing their power as he closed the distance.  Shield raised in front of him, he would make a leap at the remaining figure in the air, bringing both his legs up for a driving double heel kick into center mass...
