Mental spells are always a tough choice when it comes to picking Force.  There's a chance that the target will resist 2 hits, or at least one.  If they resist 1, then that only leaves 1 hit left.  Next test they do, one more hit will break the spell.  So, the first time they question the suggestion, or someone causes them to question it, chances are the spell's broken.

Just to ask, what mechanism do we use for dice rolls?

I think most people on these forums use invisible castle. It is not completely self explanatory. FastJack gives an in-depth description here that I still use for reference sometimes. To make it easier for the GM to check your rolls, make an account on invisible castle with your character's name for their campaign.

Just felt that it might be important to point out that Influence is a Permanent spell, not an Instant or Sustained.

Quote
Permanent spells must be sustained for a short time, after which their
effects become “natural” and no longer require magic or concentration
to maintain. The time required to make a spell’s effects permanent is
equal to twice the Drain Value in Combat Turns.

and the Perception test to notice someone casting magic is:

Quote
Noticing if someone is using a magical skill requires a Perception Test (p. 135) with a
threshold equal to 6 minus the magic’s Force. More powerful magic is easier to spot with
the gathered mana normally appearing as a disturbance or glowing aura in the air around the
caster. The gamemaster should apply additional modifiers as appropriate, or if the perceiver
is Awakened themselves (+2 dice), astrally perceiving (+2 dice), or if a shamanic mask is
evident (+2 dice).

So, casting it twice would take 12 seconds and take a threshold of 4 to notice the spells being cast.  Not likely to be a problem, but a consideration.

God, I feel so completely undercompetent when it come to rules. And to imagine I am GMingon the next thread? scary ...
Sorry for a small delay ;)

Don't worry. I tend to treat rules more as guidelines. And i think it would work. Since your influence is being implanted in their confused minds, and the others managed not to antagonize those poor gangers.

Joe, roll for Yani's Intuition+Perception (visual), since buying hits won't work this time. Also, roll for Data Search+Analyze, to sift through this mess - there's a lot of corporate crap, riden with hidden memtic units, and sublimals. If you glitch, there will be simsense damage to resist, or mental noise that can influence your actions.

I'll roll 4 times for perception. Since he's wearing his glasses with magnification, I am not including negatives for distance. If you rule that the ship is far enough away to incur negatives even with magnification, that's cool.

1) Perception roll for gaining identifying information from looking at the ship:
Perception(Visual) 3 + Intuition 4 + Vision Enhancement 3 + Actively Searching 3 = 13 dice, 13d6.hits(5) → [1,2,1,5,1,2,2,6,4,5,4,2,5] = 4 hits.

2) Perception roll for noticing the rat-guy (if you would rather this be hearing, then strike 2 for lack of specialization):
Perception(Visual) 3 + Intuition 4 + Vision Enhancement 3 = 10 dice, 10d6.hits(5) → [4,1,1,6,2,1,6,4,2,3] = 2 hits.

3)If that was enough to notice him, then here's perception to notice identifying marks:
Perception(Visual) 3 + Intuition 4 + Vision Enhancement 3 + Actively Searching 3 = 13 dice, 13d6.hits(5) → [6,5,4,3,4,2,4,6,1,4,1,5,3] = 4 hits.

4) And here's perception to notice what it was he picked up off the ground, if Yani noticed him in the first place:
Perception(Visual) 3 + Intuition 4 + Vision Enhancement 3 + Actively Searching 3 = 13 dice, 13d6.hits(5) → [2,3,6,2,2,6,2,1,1,1,6,3,6] = 4 hits.

Browsing for Evo press releases and recent activity in Tri-City.. and I just realized I didn't take browse. lol. Geez.. glad you asked me to roll, it would have been cheating if I just somehow gleaned the info without saying how... guess next time I register a tutor sprite, I should give him data search instead of first aid. lol. Anyway... gonna go ahead and do what I said I was gonna do.

Threading Complex form Browse:
Software 5 + Rosonance 6 = 11 dice, 11d6.hits(5) → [4,1,2,5,1,4,1,3,5,3,3] = 2 hits.
   Fading DV = 2S
vs
   Resonance 6 + Charisma 6 = 12 dice, 12d6.hits(5) → [2,6,5,5,6,5,6,2,6,2,1,4] = 7 hits. All fading soaked.

Browsing for Evo Press releases and recent activity in Tri-City:
Data Search 5 + Browse 2 - 2 sustaining complex form = 5 dice, 5d6.hits(5) → [6,6,5,1,4] = 3 hits. (wew, glad I didn't crit glitch)

Hrm... in hind site, it would have been better to ask my paladin sprite to sustain that for me while I searched... oh well. lesson learned.

1) The ship you were on was called "Trygław" (Triglav). A quick reference leaves you with only a handful of info (I decided to buy hits for you). First, the ship sunk over ten years ago by Bornholm. Second, it was owned by some pagan community, that was de-legalized in TriCity a few years ago on terrorist support accusations. The name belongs to some slavic sea-deity.
2) You've all noticed that guy. Sudden movements seem to get your attention, and he was really quick. You could swear you've noticed a tail, but on second glance it was only a bunch of wires he had strapped to his rags. Obviously scavenger goods. He didn't have any marks at all - you've seen only an old dust mask, and a glint of goggles, nothing besides that, and the rags. And what he picked up was probably a chip. It was small, and black, and stuck to Bat'Oni's boot.
3) Evo is one of the biggest guys in TriCity. A lot of media coverage nominate the corp as the next ruler of TriCity, because of it's off-sea floating port project. And recent bombings by unknown party left it with a lot of good press, as they lost over a hundred people in the process, and now they hand Citizenship and lifelong reparations to the victim, and actively hunt for the terrorists.

I am learning a lot about Europe this game. I never noticed that little island before called Burnholm. I imagine it's heard about often in Poland, but I've never heard of it at all before! Cool stuff.
A couple things that need some clearing up in my American mind:
Is Burnholm considered part of Poland in present day?
Is Trójmiasto Tri-city?

Bornholm is an island in the west of the Baltic sea. It's one of the places the Proteus corporation was strong in. It's not a part of Poland, and never was - it's a Danish province. It's just one of the places a smuggling ship would frequently visit*, and where it could vanish off the grid, if needed...
TriCity is Trójmiasto (Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia) joined as a metroplex. They were fully integrated, and the only thing still divided is in people's minds. That, and the corporate land in Sopot dividing the metroplex.

* That's just fluff. Don't treat everything i write as important. :)

Gonna handle this crazy stuff OOC. I may need a correction or two, so if I do, being corrected here will keep IC from getting cluttered with craziness.

Yani calls his paladin sprite off standby and asks it to sustain his Browse complex form for 6 combat turns, burning one task owed by the sprite, so it's down to 4 now.

Yani accesses a nearby node to see if the access log contains a familiar access id of that pissed off Code Sprite's presence, or anything that doesn't look like a spam advertiser's access ID.

Data Search 5 + Browse 2 = 7 dice, 7d6.hits(5) → [4,6,1,3,5,2,6] = 3 hits.

Okay, that's enough for you to notice. Along with the way your sprite nervously flickers - and that's not only the strain of sustaining your complex form - you're almost sure this was a sprite. Probably a Courier sprite on it's way.

Well, I did go to bed, besides, my only problem was adding the silver to her boots...say wha???  I thought it was in response to the bodyguards giving her respect.
