Whisper is using the map overlay to try and find a better route past the security that would get them to where they want to go without having to surrender their weapons or leave any gear or people behind. To figure out what para critters might be on the trail. (4d6.hits(5)=2) To figure a good route around those possible dens and through the wilds.(6d6.hits(5)=3) To determine other dangers along the route. (5d6.hits(5)=3)

A quick look at the maps Yani provided leaves you with several possible routes through the Awakened woods and post-glacial hills that managed to force TriCity to grow north, south and east, and abandon it's western areas...
You'd have to reach the remains of the old highway circling TriCity, and go on foot from there. Through the woods, avoiding hilltops and keeping as low as possible to avoid any nasty critters. There are more than a few streams available this time of the year, and you can use them to your advantage. Your only problem would be Barghests and Stone Toads, and only the former would be any problem. It's unlikely that you would encounter them closer to the city, and they're mostly solitary except for the mating season. Which is in early autumn, so you don't think there would be any problems.

I don't mind that option, but the woods are dirty and smelly, Bat'Oni would very much like to avoid more dirt, she's already not dealing well with no shower since being in a METAL BOX... :D

Well, I know Yani won't be shown up by a human in the woods... or at least he'd try really hard not to be... he'd rather endure malaria from mosquitoes... or worse.

I am just glad we have more options to talk about.

Seems like you just have to decide what to do. You have five options. So, what do you do?

Well, it sounds like Bot'Ani is opposed to the nature walk, while Whisper and Vabka are both for it. Yani is walking the fence, so he is fine with either way. Do we want CW to decide for all the characters? I do. His character probably knows the best course of action anyway. But if this was a democracy, looks like it may go nature walk.

City is my element, nature is not. But honestly, I am only against banging through humanis turf, all other options are ok for me, including storing you illegal stuff at my place.
Callin Teatime is also an option, though I wonder if he'll come still no trouble trying
Sorry for a small delay ;)

There is this one place you know that takes Shadowrunners without questions, and without being nosy behind their back. That's on the verge of the Wall, that separates Orunia from the better part of the city, on the 'wrong' side. Getting there would cost around 250+ NY, because you either need to bribe a security checkpoint, or find a guide that would take you through the old tunnels under the wall. Other than that, there are more than a few places where you could stash your gear, but these are not nearly enough secure for your taste...

Just a quick reminder, that little tidbit about Teatime being an elf that looks like a human is sent to everyone on our little infonet. Though, Yani's speculation about him being a spy for matahuman or elven activists groups is not. That is not verified, just something Yani will check up on when he gets a chance.

Well, crap. This game is about to turn into a logistical nightmare if we don't find a common goal here.

I guess my first question to everyone is: Do we need a base of operations?

we need a safe house and if this goes on for long. Hell we'll need one anyway. I just don't feel like hanging around a bar when there's something to do. Whisper didn't come here for R&R. He's here for a job that has him worried and he'll feel MUCH better when it gets done.

Didnt uncle good time mention that he could hook us up with a safe house? If I misheard that, I will go IC and set something up with the Vory...

As for what we do next, Vabka is not much of a planner to be honest. He will go with whatever everyone else wants, as long as he doesnt feel belittled, mocked or taken advantage of. And as long as at some point he gets to break something ;)

Uncle Vabka, I thought the same thing, but I can't find it after looking back. Your character has the Vory, CW has his contacts, and I actually have an international fixer. Though my character's resources may be extremely expensive... Prolly take Yani's entire cut, actually. At this point I'd be willing to go in debt to get a safe place we can all access.
