Isaint saw the galant but very, very stupid gesture, but before he could do much more and break his headlong rush, Al's body had been rocked by the small explosion. Without delay he was at the small man's side. 'Thank god, only a flashbang.' Without waiting a second longer, he grabbed Al's belt and dragged him from the ground into a somewhat upright position.
"What the fuck are you doing! MOVE, all of you!"
With a bit of relieve he noticed that Al was conscious, didn't seem to bleed or be on fire.
Moving through the opening almost instantly brought relieve from the pressure of the mana distortion. He felt his patron again - stronger than before.
Without pausing he sent a quick prayer: 'St. George guide my hand'
and shot a high explosive bullet directly at the fuel tank of one of the parked motorbikes visible at the edge of the building.
The rapport of his hand cannon was a lot louder than the "whump" sound the expanding cloud of burning gasoline made.
"Kill the bikes!"

With satisfaction he noticed that the little icon of his trode net had reappeared in his field of vision and indicated that his systems were back in action at any moment.

Free action: Handle Al
Simple action: Agi Boost: 7d6t5 2 [7d6t5=6, 6, 2, 2, 3, 4, 3]
Simple action: Shoot motor bike: AGI 7 + Skill 6 - 2 (Adept Centering/Fuel Tank Shot)
Shoot: 11d6t5 2 [11d6t5=3, 1, 2, 1, 5, 6, 4, 2, 1, 2, 1]
DV 11P AP -4 + Net successes (which in the case of a stationary bike should be 2, so 13 P - not a chance that even a Scorpion could soak all the damage)  ;D
Free action: Call out to the others

Jackhammer, being faster than some of the others, waits for them to get moving before he takes advantage of the exit. A part of him takes a bizarre pleasure in watching Al get hauled out, but only because he could tell the strange man was going to be fine. At least from the grenade.

Once outside, he found that Robyn had been busy with the gangers and nothing was really left to do on that front. He wasn't sure what to make of it, but now wasn't the time for thinking. He moved with careful, watchful motion, ready to put an arrow or a fist into anything that presented itself. This was the moment--the way Shadowrunning was supposed to be. Pulse pounding, 'ware in high gear, stupid gangers getting smashed or shot, and half-baked security measures being flattened before the highly-competent team of freaks and renegades. He could hardly wait for some fire team to pop around the corner with TMPs, just begging to get ground under heel. He smiled again, lost in the moment. "Here we go."

Robyn notes with great pleasure that Al seems OK, and it appears that, as usual, his old beater jacket and his Voodoo gods had protected him.  She calls the Hell Hound to her side, its muzzle dripping red from where it has just ripped out the throat of the man he had attacked.  Robyn's ultrasound and radar pierce the smoke and noise, providing her with a perfect picture of the surrounding area.  She experiences the gratifying feeling of her devices coming on line in wireless mode as she spools the whip back into her finger so the others do not trip on it and get hurt.  The best news is that her drones are back on-line and she commands them to rise and give her the current positions of the opposing forces.  The exploding gas tank from the motorcycle down at the corner of the building sends flames licking at the house.  Part of her mind wonders how they are going to explain this to Karasu's contact while another part of her wonders just how the enemy had tumbled to the safe house so quickly.

Without looking around, she uses her throat mic to say, "Are we heading to an intersect to Below?"

[Sunday July 5th, 2076; Met Safehouse, Harrow, London]

You have a brief moment of exultation as things seem to be swinging back in your favour before the foe pull more rabbits out of the bag…both vans seem to be the centre of powerful jamming fields that fill the airwaves with static, and then to make matters worse two more mortar rounds explode overhead and suddenly the air is filled with RFID tags squealing away and seriously hampering digital communication…

Through the static Robyn can see that the first van has pulled up outside the safehouse and two armoured figures chase you out of the back with two more flashbangs directed into the warehouse space, the third one is hugging the building and making its way towards the corner that will present a firing solution on your team.

The second van pulls up behind some parked cars providing it with a modicum of cover before the mini turret on its roof launches a flashbang towards your midst.  From the aerial perspective Robyn can see the back doors opening and a large figure emerge…more compelling is the creatures on the end of the two leashes, massive mastifs that make Al2 look like a puppy…the spines down their backs betray their identities before their trademark howls splits the air with horrendous power.

The surviving gangers are taking opportunity of the confusion to bug out with their tails between their legs, dignity shattered by the sudden war zone erupting around them…until more than a few of them collapse paralyzed by the noise

Two resists each please of:

PARALYZING HOWL
Type: P Action: Complex
Range: Special Duration: Special
This power affects everyone who hears it, be they friend or foe, within a radius of (Magic x 15) meters.  The critter makes an Opposed Test using its Magic + Charisma against the target’s Intuition + Willpower. The rating of any area-effect sound-dampening devices, personal sound-dampening devices (such as cyberware), or hits scored by Hush or Silence spells, is added to the target’s Opposed Test. If the target wins, he suffers no ill effects. If the critter wins, the target’s Reaction and Agility are both reduced by 1 for every net hit the creature scores; the reduction in Reaction affects the target’s Initiative and Initiative Score. This effect lasts for (Magic + net hits) Combat Turns. If either Agility or Reaction drop to zero, the target is paralyzed for (Magic + net hits) minutes and can take no actions except to breathe. After either effect ends, the target’s Reaction and Agility each return at the rate of 1 point per minute.

Then the flashbang will go off at the end of the phase 10S -4AP unless you get outside the 10m radius – cantered about 5m off the breech hole you made.  Bear in mind the area beyond this is fairly exposed, there are some parked cars you can hide amongst, one of them is Al’s

Can we get a Ini for those enemy actions? This will become very dicey very quickly.
Oh, and also the thresholds.

Edge remaining: 4/5

'Oh no, I don't think so, not this time...'

Isaint's systems were back online and thoroughly unimpressed by the noise.
While he grasped with his left hand for the collapsed Crockett he already gave the mental command to deploy. Immediately the servos in his rifle began to whirr and stock and barrel began to draw into place.
Another command went out to the drone sitting in his car:
<<Arthur, Critter kill Delta, medium spread Full Auto + Handler>>

Finally he turned around to face their pursuers and gave a quick snapshot at the lead man's head: "VADE RETRO"

The exploding Flashbang he ignored, feeling the blast wash over him, but doing nothing to his armored body and head

Robyn sees everything as if in slow motion, calling out the approaching dangers as they come onto her sensors.  She turns to face the men approaching from inside the building, realizing they are only part of the problem.  Her experience with training the Hell Hound had given her some insight into the Barghest and she fully respects the capabilities of the pair approaching her.  Before she could do more than call out that they were there, the creatures used their fearsome howl and sent a cone of paralytic waves through the air.  Her guardian hound leapt up to place himself between the beasts and his mistress and so took the full brunt of the attack, collapsing to the ground, temporarily paralyzed.  His intervention gave Robyn a chance to avoid the attack.

Robyn makes a decision to go into her world and sinks to the ground next to her faithful companion.  >>Team.  Al2 is down.  I am going into VR.<<  She steps into the matrix world on the local grid and immediately sees all the icons within a hundred meters, but focuses on the opposing rigger's RCC and the hacker's cyberdeck.  Based on the effort expended here, she is certain that her opposites will be well protected, but she needs to try something to help her team.

I cannot get to Orokos for some reason.  I rolled my additional 4d6 for initiative and got 6,5,4,4, making the new initiative 31.  Subtracting 10 for the IP already used to get to the matrix, I am now 21.

Jackhammer stiffens at the chilling howls, but forces himself to action as he lays eyes on the fearsome beasts. He draws a barbed arrow and sends it gliding almost silently through the air towards one of the creatures, but finds himself unable to focus just yet. He had been expecting bullets, not energy weapons and monsters.

It would be too easy to kill them all. They will live to serve me. I mark them all. I will find them. When I need them they will bleed for me. They will bleed it all for me. Every last drop.

The Kami complains of pains. The icons flicker. We are under attack.

The place was pretty well guarded, but Deckard didn't sense any tension from the security team. They were just doing their routine job, with all the boredom that it included. The fact there was no magical security was reassuring to him. But he had to look at option to get in without actually hurting anyone...

Then he felt like a tug. A dark cloud was impeding with his connection with his body. Like it was being deprived of the Mana that was nourishing him. Something was happening back at the safehouse. Something serious.

Deckard opened his eyes in the midst of Chaos, and suddenly felt the weight of a strong Mana Static. Explosions, debris, critters, limbs, orders being shot, his first reflex was to bring his hand to his revolver on the jacket near him, as he was trying to assess the situation. The Hole in the wall, ISaint shouting to get out. And still that strong oppressive static that was cutting him of from his magic.

A smirk appeared on his face. He never minded a good challenge and wasn't a master of telekinesis for no reason.
Two grenades came landing nearby as two terrifying critters made their appearance. Their howl screeched in his ears but he kept his focus on the two grenades.

He looked for and found some remaining strings of Mana that he used to gather enough power to fling the grenades away and back towards the attackers.
Using his weaken but still present connection to Magic, he used the same spell to send flying at one of the beast his serrated blade filled with Neurotoxin. If the cut would not take him now the toxin hopefully would.

Sure that the opposing hacker and rigger are running silent, Robyn's avatar is scanning the local area for hidden devices and finds several.  She picks one of the hidden icons, hoping it is the rigger's RCC and makes the opposed scan to locate it so she can begin her serious attacks against it.  It would be satisfactory if the target is the hacker's deck.

Aware of the gas grenade flying towards them from the corner, Isaint started to run - noticing with some satisfaction that Rick had with only a flick of his hand sent the canister somewhere else.
While he did so, he once again shot a silent prayer to his patron: 'St. George lend me strength'. At once he felt the warm energy spreading through his fatigued body - although he was painfully aware that this would not last long.
Just as he raced around the corner he felt the rifle's servos click the last piece into place, and although he centered himself with his "VADE RETRO" chant, jumping around a corner, firing a gun with your right while holding a slightly vibrating piece of machinery in your left while also attempting a defensive roll made the shot a lot less accurate than it normally would have been.
Isaint had no time to verify if he had been hit - already one of the barghests was running towards him, trying to take him down.

Only peripherally he recognized that Arthur had opened fire again.

Simple action: Isaint runs rounds the corner and tries for another shot
AGI 7 + Skill 6 + Smartlink 1 -0 (Adept Centering/ Running -2)
Shoot: 14d6t5 3 [14d6t5=4, 6, 3, 1, 3, 5, 4, 3, 2, 4, 4, 1, 3, 6]
Yeah, not particularly impressive.
Simple action: Attribute Boost BOD:
Body Boost: 7d6t5 3 [7d6t5=6, 2, 6, 4, 1, 5, 1]
Free action (nimble fingers): Stash gun
Free action (nimble fingers): Ready now fully deployed rifle

Since he wasn't attacked by the sonic rifles last round and the grenade didn't actually land (due to Rick being awesome) he won't need the interrupt, but instead will now go on full defense against both the rifleman and the Barghest

Defense 1: 24d6t5 9 [24d6t5=3, 1, 4, 5, 4, 1, 4, 3, 6, 4, 4, 6, 1, 6, 1, 1, 1, 5, 2, 3, 5, 6, 5, 5]
Defense 2: 23d6t5 8 [23d6t5=5, 2, 6, 4, 6, 3, 3, 6, 2, 1, 3, 3, 4, 3, 2, 5, 6, 4, 3, 4, 5, 3, 6]

This drops his Ini down to 12

Arthur: Simple Action: Aim
Simple Action: Fire full Auto Salvo
Arthur shoot: 12d6t5 6 [12d6t5=5, 3, 6, 6, 1, 5, 4, 4, 3, 5, 1, 6]
Wow, this drone surely is pretty accurate.
Since the target is likely still at medium range, damage is 12 DV AP +4 Defense -8

[Sunday July 5th, 2076; Met Safehouse, Harrow, London]

As the last of the thermal smoke dissipates in the light early morning breeze the dawning sun throws stark shadows racing across the battle scene.  The thunder of Arthur’s shotgun fills the air, drowning out the whicker of small arms as Isaint unsuccessfully engages the attacker by the south west corner, who equally unsuccessfully returns fire, Isaint slipping under the burst of fire and rising smoothly to his feet once more…

In the matrix Robyn is frantically searching the plethora of hidden icons, homing in on the rigger’s control deck by instinct and preparing her arsenal to do battle…

The barghests streak across the car park, bloodied muzzles dripping slightly luminous saliva as they attempt to latch on to Jack and Isaint…Deckard’s knife sails unerringly across the distance to one of the brutes when at the last moment it is turned aside to clatter harmlessly to the floor…the strength of the counterspell is brutal, the practitioner is skilled…but Al’s shot sends it sliding in a dishevelled heap under one of the nearby cars…

Yukika’s imperious voice cuts across the din and momentarily everything seems to stop and listen, well all except the targets of her intent…beside her, the manifest spirit urges the team forwards to greater speed…

The swirling smoke parted before his piercing gaze and as he started to yell for the keys he realized Jackhammer couldn't very well throw them with some abomination hippy dog's teeth clamped on his arm so he calmly shouldered his weapon and shot the beast, then yelled, "Throw me the keys an' grab damned Sleeping Beauty!"

Isaint felt the hot bullets tug at his armor - much to close for comfort. But once again his patron had held his protective hand over him and let him come out unscathed from his stunt.
What he could not avoid was the attack from the other van. A stray bullet from an MP hit him squarely in the ribs. His armor held, but the pain threatened to throw off his aim again.

Still he kept his focus on the rifle man next to him.
His finger training had paid off - he managed to secure the revolver as fast as he had drawn it and had his rifle up in firing position in one fluid movement.
"Payback's a bitch - Vade Retro." His Crockett spew a short stream of APDS bullets towards the rifleman.
The thunder of Arthur's staccato shooting continued - hammering into the barghest that kept attacking him.
'Best 50k nuyen I ever spent - now if I can just get him to start skeet shooting at those drones...'

Robyn grins in VR as she calmly weeds through the chafe of RIFDs filling the matrix with distractions.  She is looking for one specific icon and finds it, homing in on the signature of the opposing rigger's RCC.  If she can threaten enough damage, she might be able to affect the drones in the air.  If she can do enough damage, she might even hurt the rigger.  Putting all her effort into the attack, she sends her matrix minions at the RCC, hammering it with a powerful Data Spike.
