Hey everyone!

I've got another episode of Ask Bobby! up and out on my YouTube channel. I give my thoughts on some questions about the matrix, PC death, and getting players to do more legwork.

Check it out and enjoy!

Another great video.

I think the reason a lot of people are asking about Stealth Dongles on RCCs isn't so much for hacking, it's because they've made Sleaze rating an inherent part of Running Silently and then given Riggers no access to Sleaze. It's one of the few things I'm really, REALLY disappointed about in Rigger 5.0 is that they did absolutely nothing to address this issue, while Data Trails added a bunch of stuff and new options for Comlinks and Cyberdecks, there's absolutely nothing for RCCs in Rigger 5.0.

Wouldn't that give people even MORE incentive to play decker though? Needed incentive, might i add.

You SHOULD rely on your decker-buddy to keep your most prized gear safe. Most prized, not everything you own and carry.
Maybe, just maybe, concrete and Plasteel are MEANT to armor our planet, and not harm it, omae. Hydroponics can nourish our needy. And i assure you nuclear energy's been involved in getting you that fancy 'ware, chummer. Our mistake? Trading Wisdom for Greed. - Dögan "Babyface" Kross

There's just the little problem that Aaron has stated the decker has to have ownership of a device to add it to his PAN.
I for one don't see my criminal character giving up ownership of my RCC to that other criminal in the party who is the decker.  Because, well, we're criminals and criminals are known to not be trustworthy.

Not to mention that commlinks seem to be able to protect more items than a deck can.  :-\

Yeah, Shadowrun hit the "honor among thieves" concept with a shock glove, dragged it to the alley out back,  put two rounds into its chest, and another in its head, just to be sure.

commlinks are marginally better at it.

Decks are more efficient. Run an agent on your deck to passively use Matrix perception on the deck, figure out when there's an hacker on the way. Use Wrapper to make that Savalette Guardian look like a credstick, etc...
