I'm just wondering is there an insect repelling spell out there? Just normal insects cockroach's, ants, flies that sort of thing. I'm curious is there's a spell you can put on a room to keep all those critters out of the room so you don't have a cockroach crawling through your food?

The game doesn't cover a lot fo mundane spells that get described in fluff all the time.... Like the spell a mage used to light his cigarette in one piece of fiction.

If you want a spell with no game world (mechanical) consequences, go for it.

As for a spell to resist insects, sure. Bug Zapper is a version of Mana Barrier that's tailored to insect spirits, so I don't see any issue with creating a version of Physical Barrier that's tailored to regular insects. You could just use Physical Barrier with a low Force, since the insects wouldn't be strong enough to overcome it. Or if you didn't want to be casting and recasting all the time, create an insect-specific version of Physical Barrier. I'd make it the same spell, maybe knocking 1 or 2 off the Drain.

That's why Fireball spells exist. With enough fire, there will be no insects.
