So I've been playing SR since 3e, and an just starting to get back into it and want to try out 5e, I'm in the process of building a combat rigger (e.g. Able to fight on their own, but aided by remote drones, during platforms, and gets the team to the escape van by remote). My question, somewhat odd admittedly, is, what is the carrying capacity of a drone? I.e. What can a micro drone carry or a larger one?

based on the dustoff and modified janitorial drones large is enough to carry a human inside

That is a good point. I'm thinking mostly along the idea of the mini or micro drones. Random idea that came to mind earlier was having a rigger with a smuggling compartment in an obvious cyber leg, with a micro or mini drone inside. Aside from the obvious uses of that done, could they throw in a micro drone with tools like a mini welder they could launch of they were handcuffed to help them break free? Oddly specific, I know, but possibly useful.

cyber hands can have crawler drones and cyber eyes can have fly spy so  if a drone is about the size of a bread box ya

good point, although I'm less worried about what I can carry, and more interested in what the drone can carry, is there some strength req or something to carry that a drone has?

Also, separate question concerning drones, when buying the autosofts for their programs, do I buy them once for each type of drone, or do I buy the autosofts for each individual drone? Example: If I have two roto drones and want to put clearsight on both, do I buy the soft once and connect it to my rcc or do I buy it twice, and connect each individually to the two drones?

drones body equals their strength stat it also represents the total amount of mod points based on the rigger 5.0 book

you can get a RCC that will share the # of autosofts equal to the device rating or you can buy autosofts and load them directly into the drone which is equal to half of the device rating round up which supposedly means you can load in about 2, 3 if it is a "military" drone based on the table

Great! Thanks for the help. It was about to get stoopid expensive buying all those sneak autosofts for the kanmushis individually.

The issue with stealth / spy drones via an RCC is the matrix. You'll be rolling just your logic to defend, which is unlikely to hold up. If odd mods are allowed, then add a sleaze rating to your RCC and boost it with smoke and mirrors, but you'll need to deal with that noise.
