Hi chummers,

I'm in the middle of a campaign right now (since 2014) and the runners are now in Neo-Tokyo.
The plot is that they have to steal a Katana made by Masamune inside of a museum in the Renraku Megaplex.

After a lot of legwork and other minor runs, it's getting into the time to they go inside Renraku to extract some information to plan the run to steal the blade.

But I'm with a little difficult to describe the plex, could anyone help me?
I tough in something like Rising Sun movie with Wesley Snipes and Sean Connery.

I dont see any entry in Corporate Enclaves, the main sourcebook for Neo-Tokyo, about the Renraku Megaplex.

Me neither, I read this book a lot of times and it mentions the Renraku plex, but not describe anything.

Until the 2030s, Chiba was a quiet seaside suburb across the bay from Tokyo, but that all changed when Chiba-born corporate raider Inazo Aneki came home with his newest acquisition, a company named Keruba International. Th e world would know it as Renraku Computer Systems. Setting up Renraku’s global headquarters on the Makuhari waterfront of Chiba revitalized the area and brought in money, employment, research, and business. By the time Chiba was offi cially integrated into Neo-Tokyo in 2063, it was already a thriving city on the cutting edge of technological and medical research.
pg. 83, Talking about Chiba.

That's all the books mention it.... But anyway, any idea of a plex ambientation? I think in something like high security and antropomorphic drones receiving the guests of a party (which the runners will infiltrate to get informations).

As far as security for a party goes, I would think Renraku would make all of it either concealed or ostentatious.  Going through metal detectors is gauche, doors that obviously seal themselves in a Renraku building is asking for trouble, etc.  In the end, why let it ruin any ambiance at a party?

The obvious security should be show-offy.  Think corporate security (maybe even Red Samurai) in o-yoroi with swords (and hidden guns), trained critters that sit like temple dogs where they're stationed until something goes wrong, etc.
Would you want to go into a place where the resident had a drum-fed shotgun and can see in the dark?

Hmmm very good Ideas, I didn't tough about critters, but that really is great!!
And in terms of security, you're right, I think if you made too complicate, maybe de the runners can't get out and ruin everyones fun.
