So this issue comes up on nearly every character I make. Gloves. Can they be stacked?

Some are weapons, some are classified as other types of equipment.

Is it going to be a problem for me to use both AR Gloves and Shock Gloves?

Shock gloves and Knucks?

Gecko Grip Gloves and Knucks?

Gecko and AR?

I am assuming you don't mean "I wear my shock gloves over my gecko gloves, thus I can both stick to walls and shock people"

Cause, well, that's a book to the head....

Generally speaking, each glove does a seperate function, much like today (trust me, there are gloves for EVERYTHING! I deal with this BS weekly). And they are generally not compatible.

Which isn't a big deal, they are gloves. They fit in a pocket just fine.

Now, I am sure some GMs may allow you to stack glove functions, but that is houserules only. (If it doesn't have a listed capacity, it generally can't be combined)
Where am I going? And why am I in a hand basket ???

Remember: You can't fix Stupid. But you can beat on it with a 2x4 until it smartens up! Or dies.

or play a Nartaki with one Pair of  Gecko Tape Glohes and a Pair of Hardliners for Fisticuffs
Or go Michael Jackson: one single AR Glove and one Schock Glove ( could also double up for a distinctive Style ;) )

with a distinctive Dance

Or you could just put Plaststeel Toe Boots on your feet, Gecko Gloves on your hands and a Trode Net on your head  ;)

Shock Glove/brass knuckles could be a single glove on your primary hand.  Gecko gloves pretty much need to be in pairs.  I don't see why you couldn't layer AR gloves and Gecko Gloves though.  AR on the inside Gecko on the outside.  I wouldn't have a problem with it.  Or as mentioned Shock Glove on one hand, AR on the other.  Although using an AR glove on your non-dominant hand is like using a mouse in the wrong hand...

Enchanting Gloves are their own thing IMO.

What other Gloves are there, I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

Don't Gecko gloves need to stick to your hand as well as the surface?

They need to be secured to your hand in some way, yes.  The required Sensors for AR gloves would be incredibly tiny though and could also be "inside" the glove.  Sixth world 2070 tech and all that.  If Gecko gloves are two sided sticky or simply have a strap that you tighten up for climbing is kinda whatever.

There is a reason you don't see a lot of Rock Climbers with Carpel tunnel   :  )

AR should certainly be a "stackable", as for the rest... Hmmm, MAYBE the hardliner, if the GM is feeling generous, but that's it.

We've generally let players combine AR gloves with any other glove. It's not been horribly game breaking, just convenient.

I should think gecko on the inside, shock or hardliner on the outside, with integrated AR functionality.  You generally need to put the inside of your hand on stuff to climb, though I have seen climbing techniques to the contrary.

For full shenanigans, make those gloves a form factor for your commlink.

I think a certain amount of common sense has to prevail. So, sophisticated electronic systems like Shock Gloves and Gekko Gloves is a no. Sap Gloves any and other type of glove is probably a no. Knucks and Gloves would probably be fine. Shock Gloves, probably not (on account of the fact they'd have to be rather bulky and have locations for the taser points.

Of course, if you have a character with a high enough Armory skill and enough Logic, they might be able to invent an integrated climbing gauntlet that could also electrocute people with a built-in set of knucks.

At least that is the way I see it. If you're just trying to "layer" as many different types as gloves as you can, I don't know what to tell you buddy. Besides your character will come off looking like a bit of an idiot.

So long as the PC is aware they don't stack damage or alter price, and count as one item for the purposes of damaging gear, I don't see the problem in allowing more than one glove tech into a pair of gloves.

Unless someone has a history of the former, assumptions should start at the latter.
