Good God, Raven. That was 42 hits on 90 dice. That's a 47% hit rate. That's 99th percentile rolling.

In case I didn't explicitly say it earlier, Ichante has asked her spirit to use its Concealment power on the group to further limit any Perception checks by the opposition.

Alright, looks like the hexagonal room is our spot.  Do the cameras show much in the way of guards patrolling, etc?

@ravensoracle, you wanna try a Dynamic Entry or Chuck-and-Charge on that room?  Shock and awe seems like it would fit the bill.  Nice rolling, btw.

Before we chuck and charge, Ichante will repeat her Casket-hold-me-while-I-astrally-project-through-the-door-to-look-for-danger routine, as long as she feels she can do so without scrambling her brain due to the emotional content of the room.

I want to wait and see what the camera's and Ichante sees before we make any plans to breech the door.

Cameras show a single guard at each end of the hall, although with the doors swinging open into the rooms, you might be able to open the door without them noticing.

Ichante's astral presence, shows the same, with a slightly less nauseating feeling in the hall itself. She also notices there is what looks like a vault door with 9 levers arranged around it like an odd clock. This must be the way into the hexagon room.

GM interpretation question: Depending on Stealth rolls, is it conceivable that the team could sneak down the hallways without either guard being able to see them since they are under a Spirit's Concealment power?

Related question: is the hallway a straight line, so both guards are within LoS of each other?

If the answer to both is yes, I think we should split into 2 groups, and drop both guards simultaneously.  If the team can't get themselves into the hallway without being spotted, I think Casket should take point and drop one while Ichante Opium Den's the second until s/he can be dropped by Pale Horse.  Assuming we Surprise them both, we should be able to clean up in 1 IP.

Spikes donation to that plan can be to keep the attack invisible. Perhaps we can also replace the guards with an illusion?
Physical mask anyone?

There are lots of options, depending on the variables.

Physical Mask could help one of us look like a guard. Trid Phantasm could allow us to KO a guard without the other guard seeing it happen.

To rednblack's point, Opium Den is an area effect spell, so it could potentially hit both guards depending on how close they are. (@CraterShip, how close are they to each other?)

If the guards do not have line-of-sight on each other, then Ichante could potentially use Petrify on one or both of them. (@CraterShip, what metatype(s) are the guards? How big are they) We probably wouldn't want her to sustain it forever, but it could give us an opportunity to disarm them before she drops the spell.

I'd like to roll Assensing on the guards to look for cyberware as an indication of how formidable they might be, plus if they have internal headware or commlinks we might need to be concerned about:
Intuition 4 (8) + Assensing 6 + Aura Reading 2 + Perceptive 1: 2#17d6t5 6 hits for Guard #1 and 6 hits for Guard #2

That should be enough to see what they had for lunch.

Alright, see if I can answer everything at once;

Guards can see one another, as the are at opposite ends of a straight hallway about 50' long. Both are human, both armed with Ares Alpha assault rifles, both have smart links, one had a full cyber arm where his left used to be. Both appear to be wired, but can't quite tell how extensively, looks like bone lacing and wired reflexes of some rating. They don't have any internal comm system, but are both wearing headsets.

To my understanding, and please correct me if I'm wrong, a spirit's concealment power does not make you fully invisible, but rather uses the environment it is attuned to to mask you? In which case, that alone would not be enough to get you down the hall undetected. But would be able to help with other abilities.

Yes, that's correct about Concealment. It does not make us invisible but in this case it's a -6 dice pool modifier to detect us.

To recap:
1) We have a 50-foot (15-meter) long hallway
2) There is one guard at each end
3) One end is the elevator, the other end is the hexagonal room
4) We are at the elevator end of the hallway
5) Since the cell door opens inward, we might be able to open it without the guard immediately noticing

I'm not sure about all the angles, but it might be possible to do something fancy like cast Trid Phantasm across the hallway so the guard at the far end (next to the hexagonal room) doesn't see what we're doing. Then we could Petrify the near guard and disarm him. Once we're in position, we can repeat the process with the guard at the far end.

If something goes wrong or if one of the guards gets a warning off, does Spikes have host access to the elevator? If so, she could significantly slow down the arrival of reinforcements.

Concealment reduces dice to perception tests to spot us, along with sneaking with a reasonable skill it is as good as it gets for going unnoticed.

Spikes can spoof command from the host and send the elevator to another floor, she could do it for some time until her overwatch gets too high. (everytime she does something illegal overwatch raises).

What's in the other rooms? Just curious to see if we can use a distraction.

Unless I'm mistaken, Spikes hasn't done anything to get an overwatch score started... Yet. Hotf doesn't alert anything if successful, and edit for the camera feeds isn't illegal. So unless patrol IC spots her, she's still at 0 for now.

As for the other rooms, several appear empty, but with the camera angle set to really only look at the tables in each, there could be things off camera. One room does have a manacled, very irate looking elf, who is struggling on the table. If you turn on the cameras audio feed, he's screaming incomprehensively, and thrashing about. He appears to be at least half ghoul at this point.

Ok, what if we open the door to the screaming elf. Maybe we can get the security guards to pop into that room. We can seal them in there.

That solves their physical presence but still allows the guards to radio for help, or otherwise alert someone that the system is janky (depending on what their procedures are for when doors pop open unexpectedly).

I was thinking Petrify might be a nifty solution because it doesn't affect gear. Thus we turn one into a statue, then undress him and take his commlink, at which point he is effectively harmless. Their commlinks are a much bigger threat than the two guards are themselves. (Watch me get shot by one of them now that I've said that.)

Plus, if we take them alive then we can question them about the levers on the vault door. Being naked and surrounded by shadowrunners who threaten to feed you to the half-ghoul is probably a good intimidation tactic.
